Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 01

Shinobu Konoha

"Yang, are you heading to the Academy? Are you ready?"

At the entrance of the Uchiha district, familiar clansmen greeted him warmly.

Uchiha Yang nodded in response.

"Come on, Yang, don't disgrace the prestige of the Uchiha clan!"

"Yang, do your best! If you pass, your uncle will treat you to Yakiniku Q!"

Uchiha Yang smiled and nodded, thinking to himself—if the Uchiha clan treated the rest of Konoha the way they treated their own, perhaps their future wouldn't be one of annihilation.

Taking a deep breath, he quickened his pace toward the Academy's examination grounds. Unlike others, Uchiha Yang was not originally from this world—he was a transmigrator. He had never been in a fatal accident, nor had he suffered from illness before arriving here.

When he realized he was born into the infamously tragic Uchiha clan, his initial reaction was despair. But upon learning that he was born just after the Second Shinobi World War, with decades remaining before the clan's downfall, he felt a bit of relief.

At least it was better than those transmigrators who arrived right before their destruction—or worse, those who had to live as Sasuke. For now, he had a warm home.

His father, Uchiha Ieyasu, was the younger brother of Uchiha Nobunaga, the current clan leader. His uncle? Uchiha Fugaku, future head of the clan. For a transmigrator, this was an ideal starting point—strong connections, a secure family, and access to elite resources.

Seven years passed swiftly. Uchiha Yang spent two years at the Academy, consistently ranking at the top. His mental maturity made it difficult to pretend to be a carefree child. More importantly, he was determined to change Uchiha's fate.

"Uchiha Yang, step forward. The assessment begins!"

The examiner's voice echoed across the training field. Without hesitation, Yang launched three kunai in a triangular formation, forcing the examiner to move. At the same time, he hurled six shuriken attached to nearly invisible ninja wire, restricting the examiner's dodging space.

"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!"

He exhaled a massive fireball, taking advantage of the blind spot created by his previous attack. The examiner sidestepped the kunai, deflected the shuriken with his own kunai, and swiftly raised an Earth-Style: Earth Wall to block the fireball.

A smirk tugged at the examiner's lips—this Uchiha brat was underestimating him.

But then, he felt a sharp movement behind him.

The ninja wire twitched in Yang's hands, guiding the rebounding shuriken straight toward the examiner's back.

Puff!

The impact revealed a log—it was a substitution technique.

Before Yang could react, a chill touched his neck. The examiner had reappeared behind him, a kunai pressed against his throat.

"Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu."

Yang smirked. His real body had already hidden underground the moment he launched the attack. The Yang standing there? Just a clone.

The examiner, recognizing the tactic too late, was grabbed by an emerging hand.

"Suiton: Suirō no Jutsu!"

A sphere of water formed around Yang, trapping him. But he wasn't done yet.

Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu!

While still inside the water prison, he activated a pre-planned illusion, causing the examiner to momentarily hesitate. Taking that split second, Yang dispersed the clone and countered with a barrage of small fireballs.

"Suiton: Suijinheki!"

A defensive water wall rose just in time.

The examiner smiled. "Assessment over. Uchiha Yang passes."

From the spectators, murmurs of admiration spread.

"As expected of an Uchiha genius!"

"The new generation is terrifyingly strong."

"Are kids this talented now?"

Jiraiya, who had been silently watching, finally spoke. "Not bad, kid. Report to the Hokage's office tomorrow."

Then, with a flicker, he vanished.

Yang let out a slow breath. That was tough. Surrounded by several clansmen, he made his way toward the Uchiha Police Force headquarters.

"You're back. Well done."

A handsome man in standard Uchiha ninja gear—his father, Uchiha Ieyasu—smiled with pride.

"You bear the Uchiha name. Never forget, we are the strongest clan. The Uchiha will always stand tall."

"Your mother has prepared a feast. Let's eat at noon. You're a shinobi now—time to act like a man."

"When I was your age, I was still in the clan school. Don't let this go to your head. We have plenty of geniuses, but the true mark of an Uchiha is unlocking the Sharingan."

"In the evening, your uncle and the elders will celebrate your achievement. Becoming Konoha's youngest ninja is no small feat."

Yang had a theory: behind every cold, stoic Uchiha was a secretly talkative one. His father was proof.

"But Yang," Ieyasu's voice lowered, "have you thought about your next step?"

"What do you mean?"

"Will you join the Police Force or a regular shinobi team?" His father's eyes locked onto his.

"I should discuss with Uncle Nobunaga first. This choice isn't simple."

Ieyasu nodded. "Whatever you choose, I'll support you. Just remember—home is waiting."

With a grin, he ruffled Yang's hair before proudly boasting about him to the other officers. Yang, embarrassed, felt like his father was treating him like the reincarnation of Madara.

"You're back, Yang. Congratulations on becoming a ninja."

A gentle woman—his mother—embraced him tightly.

She whispered, "Promise me. Stay vigilant. Never hesitate against enemies. Mercy can be a kunai aimed at your back."

Her eyes glowed red. The three-tomoe Sharingan gleamed under the sunlight.

"Today is a happy day. Let's not discuss such things." Ieyasu placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

His parents—a boisterous father and a quiet but formidable mother—were the foundation of his world. Nothing would take them from him.

That night, his uncle Uchiha Nobunaga, his cousin Fugaku, and the rest of the extended family gathered to celebrate.

"Yang, your father told me about your decision. I want to hear it from you."

The clan head's piercing gaze studied him.

Yang met his uncle's stare without hesitation. "Uncle, I've decided to join the Police Force. I want to contribute to both the clan and Konoha."

Nobunaga nodded approvingly. "Good. Report tomorrow afternoon."

The evening ended, but tension lingered. His father sat alone, drinking.

"Why didn't you pick the mission squad? You had a chance to leave. You're smart—you see how the village treats us."

His mother interjected. "At least the Police Force is safe. He'll be surrounded by his kin instead of dealing with outsiders who would stab him in the back."

"Father, Mother," Yang said firmly, "I have my own plans. Trust me."

Later, as he lay in bed, he thought: Father is too naive. Konoha will never truly accept us. Even if we bowed a thousand times, nothing would change.

Only power matters. Strength will keep the Uchiha safe.

The next morning, he stood before the Hokage.

"Sandaime-sama, Uchiha Yang reporting."

Hiruzen Sarutobi, still in his prime, exuded an aura of wisdom and authority.

"You wish to join the Police Force?" His eyes studied Yang carefully.

"Yes, Hokage-sama. I want to protect Konoha's peace and fulfill my duty."

Hiruzen nodded. "Very well. Uchiha has always served the village through the Police Force. No matter where you are, remember—you are part of Konoha."

"The Will of Fire… where leaves dance, flames burn, lighting the village's future."

Yang bowed. "Yes, Hokage-sama."

As he left, Hiruzen took a slow puff of his pipe. "Summon Danzo."

Meanwhile, Yang walked through Konoha's streets, deep in thought.

Sarutobi Hiruzen is no benevolent leader. The second Hokage was either a madman or a master strategist for choosing him.

Danzo? A mere pawn.

Hiruzen never gets his hands dirty. He lets others do the work, then plays the righteous leader.

He smirked.

I need to be careful around him.

And so, his journey in the Uchiha Police Force began....
