Chapter 33: Promote the Three-Step Strategy
As Cao Chenghui left, Fang Hong took the paperwork he brought and left the community, heading back to Xincheng University.
Classes were still in session at that time, and Fang Hong had nothing else to do, so he decided to attend class as well.
After 5 p.m., the class ended, and Xu Jingren, along with his roommates, organized a group to go to Quantum Beat's studio to continue working. They also invited Fang Hong to join them for a meeting there.
"Alright, I'll be there," Fang Hong replied after receiving the call, preparing to head to the off-campus studio.
As he walked around a corner, he unexpectedly bumped into someone — or rather, the other person bumped into him.
"Oh~"
Fang Hong saw it was a girl who collided with him, causing her books to scatter all over the floor. He quickly bent down to help pick them up, apologizing, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
As he was handing the books back to her, he noticed she was still on the ground.
"Hexuan?"
When Fang Hong saw the girl's face, he was momentarily stunned and quickly recalled the memories of the original owner. This girl was Hexuan, Lin Ruoshui's best friend and roommate. Fang Hong instantly recognized her from the original owner's memories.
"Fang Hong?"
When Hexuan saw him, she pretended to be surprised. In fact, this incident was not a coincidence at all but a deliberate attempt on her part to get close to him.
Fang Hong, still unaware, asked, "Are you okay?"
Hexuan pretended to try standing up, then frowned slightly. "I think I sprained my ankle."
Hearing this, Fang Hong glanced at her and then at her feet. After a brief pause, he replied, "Call Lin Ruoshui and ask her to come and take you to the infirmary."
Fang Hong took out his wallet from his pocket, retrieved a few hundred yuan, and handed it to her. "This should cover the medical expenses."
But Hexuan didn't take the money. Noticing this, Fang Hong wondered why.
Hexuan thought to herself: "Sure enough, he's from a wealthy family. He doesn't even care about the money." Then, she remembered that Fang Hong and Lin Ruoshui had broken up. "By the way, it seems like he and Lin Ruoshui have really split up," she mused.
Hexuan then said, "Lin Ruoshui has temporarily suspended school and returned home."
Fang Hong was surprised. "She went home?"
Hexuan nodded. "It seems something happened at home, but she didn't go into detail."
Fang Hong was silent for a moment and looked down at Hexuan's sprained foot. He didn't see any marks indicating a serious injury. He immediately put the money back in his wallet and said, "I'll take you to the infirmary."
Hexuan nodded.
Fang Hong carried her on his back and headed to the infirmary. Along the way, Hexuan asked, "Why don't you, as her boyfriend, know that Ruoshui went back home?"
Fang Hong casually replied, "We broke up."
Hexuan, feigning surprise, exclaimed, "What? You two broke up? Why so suddenly?"
Fang Hong nodded, then casually added, "You didn't know?"
"I didn't know. She just came back to school a few days ago," Hexuan said, shaking her head.
Fang Hong didn't comment further, and they soon arrived at the infirmary. After helping Hexuan down, he handed her the money again. "Sorry, but I need to leave now. I won't stay."
Hexuan took the money, kept one bill, and returned the rest to Fang Hong. "That's too much."
Fang Hong smiled and replied, "It's fine. The rest is for the trouble and to treat you to a meal. I have to go now."
With that, Fang Hong turned and left the infirmary.
Hexuan counted the money — 700 yuan in total. After a while, she got up, walked to the door, and peeked out into the corridor.
"Hey, didn't you sprain your ankle?" The school doctor, who had been about to check Hexuan's foot, was surprised to see her standing.
Hexuan, not turning around, replied, "It's healed."
"If he comes back to ask, tell him I'm fine," she instructed the school doctor.
The school doctor, confused, nodded. "Alright, but... okay."
Hexuan smiled, thanked the doctor, and left the infirmary as if nothing had happened.
"Young people these days..." The school doctor muttered, shaking his head as he looked away.

Quantum Beat Studio
After sending Hexuan to the infirmary, Fang Hong left the school and made his way to Quantum Beat's studio.
Thanks to the efforts of Xu Jingren and his group, the development of Quandong Weibo was progressing well. About one-third of the work had been completed. The project was expected to be finished in no more than two months, and they aimed to launch it by the end of October.
"The UI design is good, and I can see the uniqueness," Fang Hong said as he checked the design on the computer. He had previously emphasized that they shouldn't completely copy Twitter from the US to avoid being attacked by competitors.
As he sat there, Xu Jingren left his computer desk, walked to a dilapidated second-hand sofa, and groaned. "After it's online, the real challenge is how to promote it."
Fang Hong smiled and replied calmly, "It's not difficult to attract early users."
Xu Jingren asked curiously, "Do you have any ideas?"
Fang Hong held up three fingers and said, "Three steps. First, target the alumni of Xincheng University. Second, expand to other universities across the country. Third, expand to the entire society."
He continued, breaking down the plan: "When the product launches, we'll invite a few students to hang out in the school cafeteria. Whoever registers for Weibo and adds a chicken leg to their meal will get a reward. It's a simple task — moving fingers for free chicken legs. They'll definitely do it."
Fang Hong smiled and added, "Then we'll give the invited students a performance commission. For every student they successfully recruit to register, they'll earn 50 cents. If they recruit 100, that's 50 yuan. If they recruit 1,000, that's 500 yuan."
"People are motivated when there's money involved. Whether it's users registering or students promoting, everyone will be eager to help. It's a great way to build our user base by spending money."
He further explained, "I remember there's an art festival at the school in October, right? Let's sponsor it for tens of thousands of yuan. Students who want to participate must register on Weibo. Then, we'll give out free tickets."
Fang Hong paused, then added, "At the end of the year, we'll charter buses to send the students home for the New Year and use the emotional card to increase favorability toward Quantum Weibo."
