Chapter 1 - 1) Sewer works

"The sun rose at 5:42 am sharp as it often did. The sun made it's usual rounds, following the equator however 12,000 years ago from the modern age, the sun stopped it's journey just at the horizon of the Antiac circle"

The class was attentive and stood straight, with all the professors words being written and memorized by the students. The professor was the highly acclaimed scholar, Padridge Pavlov, the empire's Beatus Scholar and the emperors most trusted companion. He was considered the most intelligent man with many rival kingdoms always accounting for his presence before any attack. He had come to the Cassius Academia to teach the World History students on the history of the disappearance of Solaire Major. A most interesting topic by the looks of the students.

"As the sun hovered above the horizon, his departure would always bring a frigid winter with blizzards that have caused many Morrins to take over the cold wasteland and sea beasts that devour whole battleships in one bite. This leads to the empire having to send out their most elite squad of soldiers to reside in Antiac. Can anyone tell me who these soldiers are?"

A hand energetically rises with the student behind it hopping. As the class turn to look at him with amusement we see the main char-*cough cough*- I mean a young man with bronzed skin that had a baby face who stood at an astonishing 6'2 and had freckles throughout his face. A fire flickered in his eyes as he stood from his chair.

"Ahem, yes you ...?"

"Leo Remus, sir"

Professor Padridge showed intrigue, "The student that wrote the thesis on the Sark Kingdom conflict?"

"Yes sir!"

Leo Remus was regarded as the nerd of Cassius Academia but was not bullied for this and instead respected for his vast knowledge that rivaled the experts and produced a thesis that was viewed personally and praised by emperor Cassius.

"Well, go on"

" The Antiac region is resided by the warriors from the Garden of Eden, known as the Angels of Death or God's Warriors. They each have vicissitudes of experience from the Infinite War that occurred twelve eons ago and have the combined strength to cause even the great Zenith bleed. They are stationed for combat and submission and handle all abnormalities that run rampant through Antiac, with the best known example being the Battle against the Cosmic Golden Newt."

The class paid as much attention to the students answer as much as they did with the professors lecture.

"However, the Angels of Death aren't the only needed force in Antiac and they also require Professor Padridge's research to be able to survive the region and allow the empires battleships to cross safely such as the time when the supply boats were saved by Professor Padridge using celestial wisdom to find the pattern in the currents."

Professor Padridge's face rose in a mix of being surprise and impressed.

"Quite the response Mr. Remus, the rumors seem to have some truth to them."

Leo sat back down with a stoic face but pride could be seen in his face.

"Now back to the lesson. With the sun spending more and more time in the Antiac region, his brother was forced to intervene...."

 ------------------

The bell rang as the students walked out in a hurry with grumbles as their long flowing togas would be stepped on. As Remus packed all his books to head off, Professor Padridge motioned for him to come.

As Remus approached, Professor Padridge said, "I'm quite impressed Mr. Remus, your intellect rivals some of my peers, well the lesser ones atleast." He said with a light chuckle. "I wonder if you would be interested in an internship under me and some of my peers as we work on the newest Empire Encyclopedia series".

Leo's eyes lit up with sparks practically flying from them, "Of course i would be Professor!" He said without hesitation.

"Excellent, you may meet us on the 16th of February at the Library of Alexandria until then continue excelling in your classes"

"I will Professor!"

As the professor walked away, he thought of Leo's expression and sighed. "The flames of ambition may be intense but fan them too much and..."

Leo was practically shaking with excitement as he left the lecture hall with a grin from ear to ear, running back to his dorm with a speed none would think possible of his frail figure. Leo took several stops to adjust his pallium.

As Leo reached his Insulae complex with many students jeering at him as they laughed. Finally Leo reached the upper floor of the Insulae but was stopped by a bulking figure.

"Brutus, if you would kindly move, i have an urg-"

"I'll humbly move once you pay the fee Remus" the figure said with a menacing grin.

The man had muscles on muscles with fire ant tattoos being all over his body that when he flexed they seemed to move. His tunic struggled to hold his massive frame as he outstretched his scarred arm that had a scar that said 'Pleb'.

"Here Brutus, now please move aside" As Leo gave 15 sestertii.

"Why, thank you" As Brutus turned but not before farting in Leo's face

Leo scowled in disgust from the smell but ran straight through the almost solid cloud to his room. His room wasn't too small but was highly unhygienic with only a small bulb flickering as he entered. Bookshelves were all around with the books being the cleanest thing in the entire room. Books were piled on a desk all with titles on the Sun Path and Professor Padridge. A sigh of relief came from Leo's mouth as he grinned.

"Home Sweet Home!"
