PROLOGUE
The skies were ablaze with a fiery glow, as if the very heavens themselves were aflame. The air was heavy with an eerie, unsettling energy that seemed to vibrate through every molecule. The land trembled, as if the foundations of the world were being shaken to their core.
In the midst of this chaos, a lone figure stood atop a windswept mountain, gazing out upon the tumultuous landscape. His eyes, like two burning stars, pierced the veil of reality, beholding the hidden workings of the universe. His name was Erebus, and he was the last of the Celestial Guard, sworn to defend the heavens against all threats.
For eons, Erebus had watched over the world, ever vigilant, always prepared to defend the innocent and vanquish evil. But now, as the very fabric of reality seemed to unravel, he felt a growing sense of unease, a creeping dread that threatened to consume him whole.
The gods, once mighty and all-powerful, had fallen silent. Their voices, which had once boomed like thunder, were now stilled, leaving only an oppressive, crushing silence in their wake. The heavens, once a realm of wonder and magic, had grown dark and foreboding, as if the very light of the gods had been extinguished.
Erebus knew that something was terribly wrong. The balance of the universe had been disrupted, and the consequences were catastrophic. The land was scorched, the seas were boiling, and the skies were filled with the twisted, nightmarish creatures that lurked in the shadows.
As he stood there, frozen in horror, a figure emerged from the swirling vortex of chaos. It was a woman, her face deathly pale, her eyes black as coal. She was a goddess, or at least, she had once been. Now, she was something else entirely, a monstrous, twisted mockery of her former self.
"Erebus," she hissed, her voice like a rusty gate. "You have failed. The heavens are fallen, and the world is doomed."
Erebus drew his sword, its blade shining with a faint, otherworldly light. "You are not a goddess," he spat. "You are a monster, a creature of darkness and chaos."
The woman-goddess laughed, her voice like a crack of thunder. "I am what the world has made me," she said. "And you, Erebus, are nothing but a relic of a bygone era, a foolish mortal who clings to a dead and dying world."
With that, she raised her hand, and a bolt of dark energy shot towards Erebus. He raised his sword to defend himself, but the energy was too powerful, and it struck him with the force of a hurricane.
As Erebus fell to the ground, the woman-goddess turned and disappeared into the swirling vortex of chaos, leaving the Celestial Guard to his fate.

A pair of crimson eyes snapped open in the darkness. Yes the voice trembled.the chains of annihilation that bound his cracked then shattered completely.A storm of chaotic energy surged towards him consuming him whole.
PAIN
Agony unlike anything he had ever known tore through him as his existence was rebuilt.Every fragment of his soul burned reshape by an overwhelming force.then it stopped.
he was no longer formless,no longer fading.
He had returned.Erebus found himself lying on jagged black stone, his breath ragged, his body weak, but alive Around him ,a twisted nightmarish landscape stretched endlessly.towering obsidian cliffs jutted into a sky filled with swirling blood red clouds.the very air cracked with dark energy, suffused with malice and forgotten Souls.
He was longer in the Celestial release.
He had been reborn in the Abyssals wasteland -the forsaken prison where divine outcast and forgotten horrors were cast away.
A whisper echoed in his mind, the same voice that had pulled him back from oblivion.
Walked the path of the God slayer
He grinned.his path of vengeance had just begun.
Erebus gasped, lungs heaving as air flooded his body. He was alive.
He lay sprawled on jagged black stone, his fingers digging into the rough, unfamiliar terrain. His body… It felt different—weak, yet humming with something foreign.
Slowly, he forced himself to his knees. His robes were in tatters, stained with dried blood that was not his own. His once-magnificent golden armor was gone, replaced by nothing but torn fabric and bruised flesh.
Above him, the sky was wrong—a swirling abyss of crimson and black, as if the heavens had been ripped apart. The air crackled with a malignant energy, suffused with whispers of forgotten souls.
Where… was he?
Erebus gaze swept across the twisted landscape. Towering obsidian cliffs stretched endlessly in every direction, their jagged peaks clawing at the sky. Rivers of molten darkness slithered through the land like veins of a dying god.
He was no longer in the celestial realm. This place was something else entirely.
Then, he felt it—a presence.
A heavy, oppressive aura loomed in the distance, predatory and ancient. Something was watching him.
A low, guttural growl echoed through the wasteland. From the shadows of the cliffs, red eyes gleamed—many eyes.
Erebus tensed. Even at his weakest, his instincts had not dulled.
The beasts emerged—hulking, skeletal creatures wreathed in black fire, their jagged fangs dripping with corrosive venom. Abyssal Hounds. Beasts of the underworld, cursed to devour wandering souls.
There were at least five of them, each radiating an aura stronger than a Nascent Soul cultivator. And he… he was barely holding onto life.
A normal man would have run.
Erebus grinned.
The heavens had cast him into the abyss, thinking they had broken him.they were wrong let's them come
CHAPTER TWO-FIRST BATTLE IN THE ABYSS
The Abyss was alive.
Its winds howled with the whispers of the forgotten. The ground pulsed beneath Long Tian's feet, as if the very land sought to swallow him whole. Above, the sky churned—a sea of black and crimson, shifting like the bleeding wounds of a dying god.
This was no mere wasteland. This was a graveyard of the forsaken.
And he was not alone.
Low, guttural growls echoed through the abyssal cliffs, each vibration sending a chill through the tainted air. Red eyes flared in the darkness. Shapes moved between the jagged rocks—hulking, skeletal beasts cloaked in black fire, their forms half-submerged in the shadows.
Abyssal Hounds.
Born of the abyss itself, these creatures roamed the depths, feasting on lost souls and lingering resentment. Their presence alone corroded the very air, turning it into something thick and suffocating.
Erebus exhaled. His breath was slow, measured.
He had no cultivation. No weapon. Nothing but a broken body and his will.
Yet the fire in his chest refused to die.
The gods had thrown him into this cursed land, believing they had destroyed him.
They were wrong.
A hound moved first—its skeletal frame flickering in and out of sight before it lunged, jaws stretching unnaturally wide, fangs glinting like obsidian daggers.
Erebus eyes sharpened.
Even without his old power, he could still fight.
And if the heavens had stripped him of everything…
And if the heavens had stripped him of everything…he could take from the abyss itself could take from the abyss itself.
The first Abyssal Hound lunged
Its skeletal body blurred through the air, black flames twisting around its claws as it aimed for Erebus throat, too fast.
His instincts screamed. He twisted his body at the last second, narrowly avoiding the fangs, but a sharp pain flared in his ribs as the beast's claws grazed him. Tch. His body was still too weak.
Another hound pounced from behind. No time to dodge.
Erebus raised his arm—impact.
The force sent him skidding back, his feet digging into the cracked stone. His entire arm went numb. The hound's corrosive flames licked at his skin, trying to consume him.
He clenched his teeth. I won't fall here.
A third hound lunged. This time, he reacted faster.
His foot slammed into the ground, shifting his weight as he spun—his fist struck the beast's skull with precision, sending it crashing into the rocks.
But three more were still closing in.
His body burned. His breathing was heavy. His energy… was nonexistent.
"Then take it."
That voice again.
A sudden, searing pain erupted in his chest. The crimson mark that had burned into his soul pulsed violently. And then—power.
Knowledge flooded his mind.
⚡ Devour the Divine – The First Stage of the God Slayer Path. ⚡
Steal. Absorb. Convert. Their strength is yours to take.
Long Tian's lips curled into a dangerous smirk.
The next hound lunged—and this time, he didn't dodge.
He caught the beast's snout with his bare hand.
The Abyssal Hound snarled, thrashing wildly, but Long Tian's grip was unshakable. A dark surge of energy exploded from his palm—forcing its way into the creature.
The beast howled in agony.
Its black flames flickered… then rushed into Long Tian's arm.
The moment that abyssal energy entered his body, something inside him awoke.
His cells burned, his muscles tightened, and his strength surged.
For the first time since his betrayal… power flooded his veins once more.
He exhaled, flexing his fingers as the stolen energy stabilized within him.
The remaining hounds hesitated. They sensed the shift. They sensed something monstrous awakening.
Erebus cracked his knuckles.
"Not so eager anymore?"
Then he moved—faster than before.
He became a blur, a storm of motion and vengeance, tearing through the beasts with newfound power.
His God Slayer's Path had begun.
CHAPTER THREE - The whispers of the abyss
Erebus walked forward, his body still adjusting to the stolen energy. The Abyssal Wasteland stretched infinitely before him—an endless, broken realm bathed in a crimson glow.
The land was alive in ways it shouldn't be. The jagged black cliffs pulsed faintly, etched with ancient runes that seemed to shift when he wasn't looking. Every few steps, he saw strange formations—twisted stone spires that resembled frozen screams, rivers of dark mist that coiled like living serpents.
The air whispered.
Not the howling of the wind, but actual voices—fragments of long-forgotten souls lingering in the abyss. Some were angry. Some were pleading. Others… were laughing.
"Why… did you fall?"
"He walks the cursed path… let him suffer."
"Consume. Devour. Grow strong, little god-killer."
Erebus ignored them, his eyes locked on the horizon. He wouldn't let whispers of the dead shake him.
After walking for what felt like hours, he came across something unusual—a set of ruins half-buried in the abyssal stone.
Massive pillars lay broken, carved from obsidian and engraved with symbols unlike any he had ever seen. The ground was scattered with shattered weapons—blades rusted beyond recognition, spears snapped in half, shields cracked and useless.
A battlefield.
But these weapons… they didn't belong to mortals. They were divine.
Erebus Picked up a broken sword, its surface once gilded in celestial light, now corroded with abyssal energy. These were the weapons of gods… and they had fallen here.
He narrowed his eyes.
The heavens had cast him into the abyss to erase him, to bury him in a place no one could escape.
But if gods had fought here… what were they fighting against?
A distant sound pulled him from his thoughts.
A slow, rhythmic thud.
Something massive was moving.
Erebus turned, scanning the shadows between the ruins. A black mist swirled, parting just enough to reveal…
A colossal skeletal figure, draped in tattered remnants of divine robes, its hollow eyes burning with violet flames.
It was no ordinary beast. No mere specter.
It was a Fallen God.
Erebus breath steadied. His grip tightened on the broken sword.
The abyss held more than just lost souls.
It held the remnants of
slain gods.
And one of them had just noticed him.
The last Abyssal Hound crumbled into black dust, its essence devoured by Erebus awakened power
He stood amidst the carnage, his breath steadying as the remnants of stolen energy pulsed through his veins. The wounds on his arms had begun to close, and his body—though still weakened—felt stronger than before.
The God Slayer's Path… it was real.
He flexed his fingers, feeling the lingering traces of abyssal energy curling around them. If he could absorb power like this, then his potential had no limit.
The heavens had taken everything from him.
But now, he would take from the heavens.
CHAPTER FOUR-THE FALLEN GODS WRATH
The ruins trembled.
Each step of the Fallen God sent cracks through the ground, its skeletal frame towering over Erebus like a monument to the forgotten. Its once-divine robes were now little more than tattered shadows, flowing unnaturally as if woven from darkness itself.
Violet flames burned in its hollow eyes.
Erebus exhaled slowly, adjusting his stance. This wasn't an ordinary enemy.
The gods had cast him into the Abyss, believing it to be his grave. But now, staring at this being—this ruin of divinity—he realized something terrifying.
They were afraid.
This was no prison.
It was a battlefield where gods had fallen.
And now, one of their remnants had awakened.
The Fallen God raised its arm, a massive blade of abyssal metal forming in its grasp. Runes flared to life across its skeletal body—an ancient, corrupted power pulsing through its form.
Then, it spoke.
"You are not one of them… yet your soul reeks of the divine."
Its voice was a deep, hollow echo, filled with a weight that seemed to press against the very air.
"Why do you walk this cursed path, mortal?"
Long Tian smirked, tightening his grip on the broken sword he had taken from the ruins. "Because the gods thought they could bury me here."
He stepped forward, fire burning in his gaze.
"I plan to prove them wrong."
The Fallen God let out a low, rumbling laugh.
"Then you are already dead."
It moved.
Faster than something its size should be able to.
Erebus barely had time to react—he twisted his body as the abyssal blade came crashing down, splitting the earth where he had stood just moments before. The shockwave sent him hurtling backward, slamming into a crumbling pillar.
Pain flared through his back, but he gritted his teeth and forced himself up.
Tsk. Too slow.
His body was stronger than before, but not enough. The gap between him and this creature was vast. It wasn't just a powerful opponent—it was a being that had once stood among the divine.
And yet…
Erebus lips curled into a grin.
If he could devour an Abyssal Hound's energy… could he do the same to something greater?
His crimson mark pulsed, heat searing through his veins.
The God Slayer's Path demanded more.
More power. More prey.
Erebus lowered his stance, eyes locked onto the Fallen God. If the heavens feared this place… then he would take it's secrets for himself
The battle had only begun. The ruins hummed with forgotten power.
Erebus barely had time to process what he was seeing—the colossal Fallen God, its skeletal frame wrapped in tattered shadows, its abyssal blade forming from pure darkness.
The moment its hollow eyes locked onto him, an ancient, suffocating pressure crashed down.
This was no mere remnant.
It was a being that had once stood among the divine… and it had died here.
The gods had fought something in this abyss, and lost.
"Mortal…" The Fallen God's voice was like an echo of time itself, hollow and eternal. "You walk among ruins that should not be touched. Do you seek death?"
Erebus exhaled slowly. His grip tightened around the broken celestial sword he had found earlier—its blade dull, its power long since faded.
"I seek power," he said.
The Fallen God tilted its head.
"Then take it—if you can survive."
The air rippled—then the ground shattered.
The creature's abyssal blade swung down in a single, devastating arc. Long Tian dove sideways, barely avoiding the attack as a massive fissure split the land where he had stood.
Too fast. Too strong.
Erebus mind raced. He wasn't ready to fight something like this—not yet. But he had come here for a reason.
His gaze flickered to the ruins around him. The carvings, the shattered weapons… they all led to one thing.
The altar.
At the heart of the battlefield, partially buried beneath time and dust, stood a massive obsidian shrine. Unlike the rest of the ruins, it was intact.
And something within it called to him.
A whisper in his bones. A pull in his soul.
Something inside was waiting.
Erebus ran.
The Fallen God moved to intercept, but the moment Long Tian's foot touched the altar's stone surface—a shockwave erupted outward.
BOOM!
The air twisted. Reality warped. The Fallen God staggered back, a guttural snarl escaping its skeletal maw.
And then—everything changed.
??? – Realm of the Forgotten
Erebus vision blurred.
One moment he was in the ruins. The next… he was somewhere else.
A vast, empty void stretched before him, filled with floating fragments of shattered weapons, drifting like lost memories. A sky of crimson stars pulsed overhead, each one flickering with a power older than the heavens themselves.
And at the center of it all…
A blade.
A sword impaled in an obsidian pedestal, wrapped in sealing chains of golden lightning. It radiated a presence so overwhelming that the very space around it cracked.
Chapter 5 – The Blade That Defies the Heavens
Erebus stood frozen, his breath caught in his throat.
The obsidian pedestal before him pulsed with an overwhelming presence, its sheer power distorting the very air around it. Sealing chains of golden lightning wrapped tightly around a single sword—ancient, unyielding, and waiting.
The whispers of the abyss had led him here.
This wasn't just any weapon.
This was something the heavens themselves had sealed away.
A weapon too dangerous to be wielded.
A weapon meant for him.
Erebus took a step forward. The moment his foot touched the void-like floor, a voice echoed through the empty realm.
"You dare reach for the blade that defies the gods?"
The air trembled. Shadows twisted. Something stirred.
From the darkness, a figure emerged—tall, shrouded in flowing battle robes, his face obscured by a cracked silver mask. His presence was like a storm barely contained, raw power leaking from every movement.
A guardian.
A final trial.
The Blade's Warden.
"If you seek this weapon, prove yourself worthy."
Without another word, the Warden struck.
A pulse of sheer force ripped through the void, faster than thought. Long Tian barely managed to leap aside as a wave of condensed energy sliced cleanly through the space where he had stood.
Tsk.
No hesitation. No wasted movement. This opponent was different.
Erebus steadied his breathing, his crimson mark flaring to life. He had fought beasts, specters, and monsters, but this—this was a battle of warriors.
Fine.
If this was a test, he would break through it.
He lunged forward, his broken celestial sword clashing against the Warden's midnight blade. The impact sent another shockwave rippling through the void, but Erebus held his ground.
The Warden tilted his head slightly. "Not bad."
Then, he unleashed a storm.
Sword slashes blurred like streaks of moonlight, striking from impossible angles. Each attack aimed to kill. Erebus twisted, dodged, parried—but it wasn't enough.
A blade edge sliced his shoulder. Another strike tore through his side. His body screamed in pain, but he refused to fall.
Then, in that moment of desperation—he felt it.
The blade on the altar pulsed.
A whisper, deep in his soul.
"Take me."
Erebus moved.
With a burst of raw instinct, he leaped back, then threw his broken celestial sword straight at the Warden.
The guardian flicked his wrist, shattering the blade with ease.
But that was all Erebus needed.
In the same instant, he lunged past him—straight for the altar.
Lightning crashed from the sealing chains, striking his body. Pain lanced through his veins, his muscles burning, his soul screaming in protest.
Yet, his hand closed around the hilt.
And the world shattered
Chapter 6 – The Price of Power
The moment Erebus fingers closed around the sword's hilt, the world shattered.
Lightning tore through his body. His vision blurred as an unbearable force flooded his veins, setting his very soul ablaze.
This wasn't just a weapon.
It was a will.
A presence—ancient, boundless, and filled with an unfathomable hatred.
"You are unworthy."
A voice, deep and layered with countless echoes, resounded through his mind.
Erebus grip tightened as a black storm surged around him, the remnants of the sealing chains crumbling into dust. The void trembled.
And then—
He was somewhere else.
??? – The Throne of the Forsaken
Darkness stretched in all directions, an endless abyss illuminated only by floating embers of crimson light.
Before him sat a figure upon a shattered throne.
A man—or perhaps something far beyond human—clad in tattered god-forged armor, his face hidden beneath an abyssal crown of jagged obsidian.
In his hand, he held an identical sword to the one Erebus had taken.
The air shook as the crowned figure leaned forward, his golden eyes burning with an intensity that could devour the heavens themselves.
"You would wield my blade?" he asked.
Erebus met his gaze without fear. "If it brings me closer to slaying the gods, then yes."
A pause. Then—laughter.
Deep. Cold. Endless.
"You speak as if you know what that means," the figure said, rising from the throne. "Then let me show you."
In the blink of an eye, the figure moved.
Erebus barely had time to react before a blade of pure abyssal energy sliced toward him. He raised his sword to block, but—
CRACK.
An unbearable force slammed into him, sending him crashing into the darkness.
Pain flared through his body, yet his grip on the sword remained firm. He gritted his teeth, forcing himself back onto his feet.
The crowned figure stood before him once more, unshaken.
"Good," he murmured. "You do not break so easily." Erebus exhaled, steadying his stance. "You're testing me?"
"I am showing you the truth."
He raised his sword again.
"To wield this blade is to carry my will—to defy the heavens until nothing remains."
Erebus crimson mark flared.
Then, he charged
Erebus lunged.
His newly claimed sword hummed in his grip, its abyssal energy surging as he swung toward the crowned figure.
CLANG!
A shockwave erupted as their blades clashed. Raw force rippled through the void, tearing the darkness apart.
The Forsaken King barely moved, his stance unshaken. With a flick of his wrist, he sent Long Tian skidding backward.too slow
gritted his teeth. His arms ached from the sheer impact, but he refused to falter. He adjusted his grip, eyes burning with defiance.
The King's golden gaze remained unreadable.
"Power without control is meaningless," he said. "You swing a sword like a mortal."
Erebus exhaled sharply. "Then I'll surpass them."
The King smirked. "Then prove it."
He vanished.
Erebus instincts screamed. He twisted his body just in time—
A blade of abyssal energy sliced past his cheek, narrowly missing his throat.
But before he could counter—
BAM!
A devastating kick slammed into his ribs, sending him crashing into the void. The pain was instant—like his bones had been shattered in an instant.
But before he could recover—
The Forsaken King was already upon him.
His sword came down like a judgment.
Erebus had no time to think—he raised his blade just in time to block.
BOOM!
The impact sent him to his knees. His arms trembled. The difference in power was suffocating.
But instead of despair—
He grinned.
Because beneath the overwhelming force, he felt it—the sword in his hands was awakening.
Its abyssal energy coiled around his body, surging through his veins, filling every inch of him with power.
This trial wasn't just a battle.
It was an inheritance.
Erebus crimson mark flared violently. His eyes darkened, abyssal energy spiraling around him.
The King paused.
"...Interesting."
Erebus roared, breaking free from the King's pressure. His sword burned with newfound strength as he launched
himself forward.
The void trembled.
The trial wasn't over yet.
Chapter 8 – Awakening the Abyssal Blade
The void rippled as Erebus surged forward, his newly claimed sword humming with power.
This time, he could feel it.
The blade wasn't just a weapon—it was alive.
It was watching. Waiting. Testing him.
The Forsaken King met his charge with a smirk, his golden eyes flickering with interest. "Finally," he murmured. "You begin to understand."
Their swords clashed again.
BOOM!
The impact sent shockwaves across the shattered realm. But this time—Erebus didn't falter.
He matched the King's strike, step for step, blow for blow.
Abyssal energy surged through his veins, burning through his muscles, heightening his senses. It was intoxicating—a power unlike anything he had ever known.
But then—
A whisper.
"You are not yet worthy."
Erebus's vision blurred.
Pain exploded in his chest. His knees buckled, his sword trembling in his grasp. The abyssal energy twisted inside him, rejecting him.
The Forsaken King stepped forward, looking down at him. "The sword does not recognize you yet."
Erebus gritted his teeth, refusing to fall. "Then I'll make it recognize me."
The King chuckled. "Bold. But tell me, mortal… what are you willing to sacrifice?"
Erebus breath came in ragged gasps. The abyssal energy was still there—just beyond his grasp. He could feel its potential, but something held it back.
Then, he understood.
It wasn't the sword rejecting him.
It was testing his resolve.
Erebus clenched his fists.
"If you ask what I will sacrifice," he said, "then the answer is everything."
He raised his sword one last time.
And the void answered.
The sealing chains around the blade shattered.
A pulse of raw abyssal energy erupted outward, flooding the realm with a darkness deeper than night itself.
The Forsaken King laughed.
"Then take it, mortal," he declared. "Take the power to slay the gods!"
Abyssal lightning crashed around Long Tian as the sword'
s true form unveiled itself.
And with it—his ascension began.
Chapter 9 – The First Awakening
Darkness swallowed the void.
Abyssal lightning crackled around Long Tian's body as his newly claimed sword shed its seals. The weight of its power surged through him—ancient, boundless, and overwhelming.
He felt everything.
The whispers of the abyss. The agony of the gods who had tried to destroy this weapon. The unforgiving will of the blade itself.
It wanted one thing.
Slaughter.
Erebus clenched his fists as the Forsaken King watched with amusement.
"So, the blade has finally accepted you?"
The moment the words left his mouth, Erebus body convulsed.
His blood burned. His bones groaned under the pressure. His vision flickered between reality and something else—a world drenched in divine corpses, where the sky bled and the heavens trembled.
His first awakening had begun.
BOOM!
The void ruptured.
A pulse of abyssal power exploded outward, forcing the Forsaken King to take a step back. The sheer intensity of it warped the space around them.
Erebus gasped for air, his entire body trembling. Something was changing.
Then—
He screamed.
Black flames erupted from his skin. His crimson mark expanded, tendrils of abyssal energy wrapping around his arms, his chest, his very soul.
A notification flickered in the air—not from any system he had known, but from the blade itself.
Erebus breath hitched. Eclipse Slash?
The knowledge forced itself into his mind. He saw it—the technique's movement, the way abyssal energy condensed into a single strike capable of slicing through even divine defenses.
A smile spread across his lips.
Finally. A power worthy of his path.
The Forsaken King chuckled. "Now, let's see if you can control it."
He attacked.
Erebus didn't hesitate.
His new blade pulsed in his grip, guiding him. He raised it high—**abyssal energy spiraling around the edge like a devouring storm.
Chapter 10 – Eclipse Slash
The Forsaken King vanished.
Erebus instincts screamed. He barely had time to react before—
CLANG!
A sword crashed down on him from above, the impact shaking the void itself. His arms burned as he held his ground, abyssal energy surging through his veins.
But the King wasn't done.
He flicked his wrist, sending a follow-up strike faster than thought. Long Tian twisted, barely dodging as the blade cut through the space where his head had been.
The air trembled.
The Forsaken King grinned. "Your body can barely withstand the power you hold. Do you think you can control it?"
Erebus gritted his teeth.
He had no choice.
Now or never.
His abyssal sword hummed, responding to his will. He could feel the knowledge of the Eclipse Slash burning in his mind—a technique designed to sever anything in its path.
He took a deep breath.
Then—he moved.
Abyssal energy flooded his blade, coiling like a living force. The void itself shrank away from its presence.
The Forsaken King's golden eyes gleamed. "Show me."
Erebus swung his sword.
ECLIPSE SLASH!
The moment the blade moved—the world broke.
A massive arc of abyssal energy erupted outward, devouring everything in its path. The very fabric of the void shattered, twisting and warping under the sheer force of the attack.
For the first time—the Forsaken King stepped back.
But even as the attack surged toward him, he simply laughed.
Then he raised a single finger.
And with one effortless motion—he stopped the Eclipse Slash.
The entire void shuddered at his power.
Erebus's eyes widened. Impossible.
The Forsaken King smirked. "A decent first attempt."
Before Erebus could react, the King's aura exploded outward, pressing down with such force that he felt his body begin to crack.
"You have power now," the King said. "But you are still weak."
The darkness closed in
And just like that—Erebus trial wasn't over yet.
Chapter 11 – The Blade's Forgotten Wielders
Erebus gasped as the world shattered around him.
One moment, he had been battling the Forsaken King. The next—he was falling.
Deeper.
The void twisted and warped, dragging him into an abyss without end. His body burned, his mind screamed, and his sword—his sword was showing him something.
A vision.
??? – The Field of Eternal Carnage
Erebus hit the ground hard.
He groaned, pushing himself up, his hands sinking into something—ash.
The air was thick with the stench of blood and ruin. The sky above him wasn't the abyss anymore—it was a vast, endless battlefield.
And before him…
Corpses.
Thousands of them.
Men, demons, even gods—all slain.
Some had been torn apart, others turned to nothing but dust. Weapons impaled the earth, once wielded by warriors strong enough to shake the heavens.
And at the center of it all—
A single figure stood, a black sword in his hand.
'Erebus breath caught. The blade… was the same as his.
The figure turned slightly, and Long Tian could finally see his face.
He was young—no older than Long Tian himself. His silver hair was matted with blood, his golden eyes dim with exhaustion. His armor was shattered, his body covered in wounds. Yet, even in defeat, he stood unbowed.
"You have come far."
The voice was not his own—it echoed inside Erebus mind.
The vision blurred, and suddenly—
The battlefield moved.
Erebus saw everything.
The First Wielder – The Betrayed God
A war-torn palace. A young god standing before his fellow deities, his own kin casting him out.
The reason? He had refused to kneel.
They stripped him of his divine name, shattered his foundation, and left him for dead.
But he survived.
And in his hands, he forged the Abyssal Sovereign Blade.
"You wish to slay the gods?" the voice whispered. "Then know that I once did too."
Erebus s vision shifted again.
The Second Wielder – The Demon Emperor
A throne carved from the bones of celestial beasts. A lone emperor standing above a burning empire, his people turning against him.
Not because he was weak—but because he was too strong.
The heavens feared him.
They corrupted his people, turned his own generals against him.
In the end, they betrayed him.
And still, he fought.
Erebus clenched his fists. Each wielder of this sword… had been cast aside. Betrayed. Hunted.
And yet, they all rose against fate.
The vision blurred once more.
---
The Third Wielder – The Forsaken King
A figure Long Tian recognized—his opponent from the trial.
But in this vision, he was different.
He was standing atop a mountain of divine corpses, his black sword gleaming with abyssal power.
The gods themselves knelt before him.
Yet, even as he stood victorious… he was alone.
The heavens had been shattered. The gods had fallen. But at what cost?
His golden eyes, once burning with rage, were now empty.
"Power alone is not enough," the voice whispered. "Those who take this path walk it alone."
The Forsaken King's grip on his sword tightened.
And then—he turned.
His gaze met Long Tian's.
"Do you still seek this path?" he asked.
Erebus froze.
The visions faded. The battlefield crumbled. The abyss pulled him back—
And suddenly, he was back in the trial.
---
??? – The Abyssal Throne
Erebus gasped for air, his body drenched in sweat.
The Forsaken King loomed over him, his expression unreadable.
"You have seen," he said. "You now know the fate of those who came before you."
Erebus clenched his fists.
He had seen everything.
Betrayal. Pain. Loss.
But also—power.
He met the King's gaze.
"I will not falter."
The Forsaken King smirked. "Then prove it."
He raised his hand.
And the final trial began.
Chapter 12 – The Final Trial
The abyss trembled.
Erebus stood firm, his abyssal sword humming with power in his grip. Across from him, the Forsaken King watched with an unreadable expression.
"You have seen the fate of those before you," the King said. "Now, prove you will not follow their path."
His aura exploded.
BOOM!
A force like a collapsing star crashed down on Erebus, his bones creaking under the pressure.
But he did not kneel.
He could not.
This was the moment that would define him.
The Forsaken King raised his sword—a weapon identical to Erebus own.
"This is your final trial." His voice rang through the void. **"Defeat me, and the Abyssal Sovereign Blade will be yours. Fail—The abyss trembled.
Long Tian stood firm, his abyssal sword humming with power in his grip. Across from him, the Forsaken King watched with an unreadable expression.
"You have seen the fate of those before you," the King said. "Now, prove you will not follow their path."
His aura exploded.
BOOM!
A force like a collapsing star crashed down on Long Tian, his bones creaking under the pressure.
But he did not kneel.
He could not.
This was the moment that would define him.
The Forsaken King raised his sword—a weapon identical to Long Tian's own.
Chapter 13 – Shadows and Whispers
The void pulsed with abyssal energy, but for the first time, Erebus was not alone.
His breath was heavy, his body battered from the relentless assault of the Forsaken King. Yet, amidst the darkness, there was warmth.
A presence—soft yet unwavering.
She stepped forward.
Silver hair cascaded down her shoulders, her crimson eyes reflecting the swirling abyss. Her robes, woven with celestial silk, shimmered under the dim glow of the void.
Xian Yue.
Erebus grip on his sword tightened. "Why are you here?"
She smiled, the kind of smile that could calm a storm. "Because you're stubborn, and I knew you'd try to fight this battle alone."
The Forsaken King watched in silence, his expression unreadable.
Erebus exhaled, frustration laced in his voice. "This isn't your fight."
Erebus took another step closer, reaching out. Her fingers grazed his bloodied hand—a simple touch, yet it sent a wave of warmth through him.
"Then why does it feel like it is?" she whispered.
His heart pounded. He should have pulled away. He should have told her that this path was one of solitude, vengeance, and destruction.
But he didn't.
Because in that moment, as the abyss raged around them, he wanted to believe that she was right.
The Forsaken King finally spoke.
"Love and war rarely mix," he mused. "But it is in love that warriors find strength."
Erebus met Xian Yue's gaze, her presence grounding him, steadying the turmoil in his heart.
He nodded.
Then, with newfound resolve, he turned back to face the Forsaken King. This time, he wasn't fighting for power alone.
He was fighting for something more for her
Chapter 14 – A Battle Fought Together
The abyss trembled.
Erebus stood firm, his sword humming with abyssal energy, but for the first time, he wasn't alone.
Xian Yue's crimson eyes burned with determination as she stepped beside him, her silver robes rippling like moonlight in the darkness.
The Forsaken King's gaze flickered between them. "Love amidst war…" He smirked. "Fascinating. Let's see if it makes you stronger—or weaker."
BOOM!
The King vanished.
Erebus instincts screamed. He moved, his sword lashing out just as the King's attack came crashing down. Steel met steel, the impact shaking the void itself.
But this time—Xian Yue was there.
WHOOSH!
A streak of silver light sliced through the abyss, forcing the King back. Long Tian barely had time to process it—Xian Yue had attacked.
She spun gracefully, her fingers weaving ancient seals. A formation ignited beneath their feet, its energy merging with Long Tian's abyssal aura.
His body felt lighter. Faster.
"Don't hold back," she whispered. "I won't."
Erebus lips curled into a smirk. "Then let's end this."
---
The Forsaken King's Challenge
The battle exploded into chaos.
CLANG! CLANG!
The Forsaken King's strikes rained down like a storm, but Erebus and Xian Yue moved in perfect harmony.
For every blow Erebus deflected, Xian Yue struck from the shadows. For every feint she made, Erebus capitalized with ruthless precision.
They fought as one.
The Forsaken King chuckled, his golden eyes gleaming. "A fine display, but—"
BOOM!
A wave of abyssal force blasted outward, separating them. Erebus skidded back, but Xian Yue—
She didn't move fast enough.
The shockwave struck her, sending her hurtling toward the abyss.
"XIAN YUE!"
Long Tian moved without thinking.
His sword roared, carving a path through the darkness
Chapter 15 – Falling into the Abyss
"XIAN YUE!"
Erebus lunged, abyssal energy surging through his veins. His sword carved through the darkness, clearing a path as he reached for her.
Xian Yue's body spiraled downward, the abyss pulling her in like a hungry beast. Her silver robes fluttered, her crimson eyes locking onto his—a silent plea.
He wouldn't let her fall.
His fingers brushed against hers—almost.
Then—
A dark chain shot from the void, coiling around her ankle.
Her body jerked midair, an invisible force yanking her deeper into the abyss.
"NO!"
Erebus eyes burned with fury. He slashed downward, abyssal flames bursting from his blade, aiming to sever whatever force held her captive.
CLANG!
The moment his sword touched the chain, a surge of pain ripped through his soul.
His vision blurred. His heartbeat slowed.
And in that instant—he saw it.
A pair of golden eyes, ancient and malevolent, watching him from the abyss.
A whisper, cold as death, echoed in his mind.
"She is mine."
A shadowy hand rose from the depths, pulling Xian Yue under.
Her lips parted, but no sound escaped.
Then—she vanished.
The abyss swallowed her whole.
---
The Abyss Stirs
Erebus crashed to the ground, his breath ragged, his entire body trembling.
Gone.
Xian Yue was gone.
His fingers dug into the cracked abyssal stone. The pain in his chest was sharper than any blade.
The Forsaken King's voice cut through the silence. "Now you understand."
Erebus head snapped up, rage burning in his eyes. "What… did you do?"
The King shook his head. "This was not my doing. This is the Abyss Sovereign's will."
Abyss Sovereign.
The name sent a shiver through Long Tian's soul.
The Forsaken King's gaze darkened. "If you wish to see her again, you must descend deeper. But be warned—those who enter the true Abyss never return the same."
Erebus clenched his fists.
His path had changed.
Before, he fought for vengeance. For power. To slay the gods.
Now—he would tear through the Abyss itself to bring Xian Yue back.
And if the Abyss Sovereign thought he could take her away.
Then Erebus would take everything from him.
Chapter 16 – Descent into the Abyss
The void stretched endlessly below.
Erebus stood at the edge of a jagged cliff, abyssal winds howling around him. His mind burned with a single thought—Xian Yue was down there.
And he would bring her back.
The Forsaken King's voice echoed behind him. "Once you step forward, there is no turning back."
Erebus didn't hesitate. He jumped falling into darkness.
The descent was unlike anything he had ever experienced.
Shadows twisted around him, whispering in languages long forgotten. Cold tendrils brushed against his skin, as if unseen things were reaching for him.
Then—
BOOM!
A surge of abyssal energy slammed into him. Pain exploded in his chest, his vision darkening as he tumbled deeper.
Was this death?
No.
His eyes snapped open.
Through the darkness, he saw it—a city of ruins, suspended in the void. Crumbling spires jutted out like broken fangs, glowing with eerie blue flames.
The air was thick with death and forgotten power.
Xian Yue was here. He could feel it.
With a final burst of will, he adjusted his fall, landing hard on the cracked stone below.
CRACK!
Dust and embers rose around him.
He stood, body aching but mind sharp. He was in the true Abyss now.
A whisper slithered through the air.
"Mortal… why have you come?"
Erebus grip tightened on his sword. "I've come for her."
Laughter, soft and chilling, echoed from the ruins.
"Then let us see if you are worthy."
From the shadows, figures emerged—twisted warriors, their bodies wrapped in abyssal chains, their eyes glowing like dying embers.
Abyss Wraiths.
They moved as one—rushing him like a tide of death.
Erebus exhaled.
The abyss wanted to test him?
Then he would carve his way throug
h it.
His sword ignited with black flames.
And the battle began.
Chapter 17 – The City of the Lost
The air was thick with whispers of the dead.
Erebus stood amidst the fallen Abyss Wraiths, their bodies dissolving into black mist. His breath was heavy, his sword still pulsing with abyssal flames.
But this battle was only the beginning.
The ruins stretched before him—a city frozen in time, lost to history. Towering spires, once grand, now lay in shattered ruin. Ancient carvings of unknown gods lined the crumbling walls, their faces worn away by time.
Yet something about this place felt familiar.
A memory… not his own.
"This is where it all began."
The voice was neither hostile nor kind. It came from the depths of the city. A presence waited for him.
Erebus gritted his teeth and pressed forward. Every step carried the weight of unseen eyes.
Then he saw it.
At the heart of the ruins stood a massive stone gate, its surface etched with abyssal runes. Chains wrapped around it like living serpents, pulsing with a dark power.
And in the center—Xian Yue's name, carved in blood.
His heart pounded.
She was here.
But as he reached for the gate—
BOOM!
A figure emerged from the darkness.
A towering warrior, his armor cracked and ancient, yet the aura surrounding him was suffocating. His eyes burned like dying stars, his great sword wreathed in abyssal fire.
"You seek the one who was taken." His voice rumbled like thunder. "Then you must prove yourself in the Trial of the Lost."
Erebus didn't hesitate.
"Then let's begin."
The warrior raised his sword, the abyss
trembling with power.
And the trial began.
Chapter 18 – Trial of the Lost
The abyss trembled as the armored warrior raised his great sword.
Erebus tightened his grip, abyssal flames flickering along the edge of his blade. He had faced countless enemies before—but this was different.
This was not just a battle of strength.
It was a trial of the soul.
The warrior's voice echoed through the ruins. "Step forward, and face the truth that binds you."
BOOM!
Dark energy surged from the ground, swallowing everything in black mist. The ruins faded. The abyss vanished.
Erebus was somewhere else.
---
A Forgotten Memory
He opened his eyes.
The world around him was not the abyss.
It was a place he had not seen in years—the Celestial Dragon Sect.
Disciples trained in the courtyard. The air smelled of incense and morning dew. The towering jade halls gleamed under the rising sun.
And standing before him was a familiar face.
Xu Feng.
His former sworn brother. The man who had betrayed him.
Xu Feng's lips curled into a smirk. "Tian… do you really think you can escape your past?"
Erebus clenched his fists. "This is an illusion."
Xu Feng tilted his head. "Illusion? No, this is the truth you refuse to accept."
Suddenly, the sect burned.
Flames swallowed the courtyard, screams echoing in the air. It was the day Long Tian lost everything.
The day Xu Feng and the elders cast him into the abyss.
Xu Feng stepped closer, his eyes filled with mockery. "You still carry hatred. You still seek revenge. But tell me, Long Tian—do you fight for power, or do you fight because you're afraid?"
The flames grew higher.
His body felt heavy. Suffocated.
Then—another voice.
Soft, yet strong. A voice that cut through the fire.
"Erebus… don't let the past control you."
His eyes widened.
Xian Yue.
She was close. He could feel it.
Erebus heart pounded. He had made a vow. He would not be bound by the past—he would carve his own fate.
He raised his sword.
Xu Feng's smirk faltered.
SLASH!
The illusion shattered.
The abyssal ruins returned, the armored warrior standing before him once more.
Silence.
Then, the warrior nodded. "You have passed the first trial. But the path ahead only grows darker."
The stone gate behind him rumbled.Erebus
exhaled.
He stepped forward
Chapter 19 – The Abyss Strikes Back
Long Tian stepped through the stone gate, the abyssal runes pulsing as if alive. A cold wind howled through the ruins, carrying whispers of long-forgotten souls.
Ahead, a vast chamber unfolded—a temple lost to time. Pillars of black stone stretched toward a sky that did not exist, and at the center of it all stood a massive abyssal monolith, radiating an eerie, pulsing light.
Something was waiting for him here.
His grip tightened on his sword.
Then—the darkness moved.
BOOM!
A monstrous shadow erupted from the monolith, its form shifting between beast and mist. Glowing red eyes snapped open, locking onto Erebus.
A voice, ancient and filled with hunger, echoed through the chamber.
"Mortal… you seek to defy the Abyss. But the Abyss takes all."
The Abyss Warden had awakened
Trial of Strength – The Abyss Warden
The beast lunged.
Erebus barely had time to react before black claws slashed toward him. He twisted, dodging just as the stone beneath him exploded under the force of the strike.
Too fast.
The Warden moved like a shadow in a storm, its body dissolving and reforming at impossible speeds. It was everywhere.
SWOOSH!
A tendril of abyssal mist lashed toward him. He slashed through it—only for the severed darkness to reform instantly.
His eyes narrowed. A beast that could not be cut?
The Warden's laughter rumbled through the chamber. "Your sword means nothing here."
Erebus exhaled, his abyssal energy rising.
"Then I'll just have to destroy you another way.
Breaking the Abyss
He closed his eyes.
In the depths of his soul, something stirred.
The power that had awakened in the ruins—the force that had merged with him when he first stepped into the Abyss—it was still there, waiting.
He reached for it.
And the Abyss answered.
BOOM!
A burst of black flames erupted around him, his sword pulsing with abyssal destruction. The same power the Abyss tried to consume him with—he would turn it against itself.
The Warden hesitated.
For the first time, it felt fear.
Erebus voice was calm, but his eyes burned with power.
"Now, let's see if the Abyss can bleed."
He charged.
Chapter 20 – The Abyss Fights Back
The chamber trembled. The Abyss Warden's monstrous form twisted, its crimson eyes burning with rage.
Erebus charged, his sword wreathed in abyssal flames. The black fire crackled, consuming everything in its path.
SLASH!
His blade carved through the Warden's massive body—but the wound did not bleed. Instead, the darkness shifted, reforming as if the attack had never landed.
The Warden's laughter rumbled.
"Fool. The Abyss does not die."
Long Tian's eyes narrowed. If cutting it wasn't enough… then he needed more.
The black flames around his sword surged, growing darker, hotter. Abyssal Destruction. A force that could erase anything.
But as he prepared to strike again—pain exploded in his chest.
His body stiffened.
His veins burned as if something was crawling through them.
Abyssal energy—eating away at his soul.
The power he had taken from the Abyss… was now trying to take him.
The Warden grinned, sensing his hesitation. "Now you understand."
Dark tendrils lashed toward him.
Long Tian gritted his teeth and forced himself to move.
He couldn't stop now.
A Battle Within
As he fought the Warden, another battle raged inside him.
The abyssal power whispered to him.
"Why fight it?"
"You are already one of us."
"Embrace the darkness, and no one will ever betray you again."
Visions flickered before him.
Xu Feng's smirk as he cast him into the Abyss.
The Celestial Dragon Sect elders turning their backs on him.
Xian Yue's hand slipping from his grasp, dragged into the darkness.
His rage surged.
For a moment—he almost gave in.
But then—he heard her voice.
"Erebus… don't lose yourself."
Xian Yue.
His fingers tightened around his sword.
He wasn't some puppet of the Abyss. He wasn't its tool.
He was Erebus
And he would carve his own path.
With a roar, he tore the abyssal energy from his body, forcing it into his blade.
The sword shone with black and gold flames—his power, purified.
The Warden's eyes widened.
Erebus moved.
One strike.
A single, perfect slash tore through the Warden's core.
BOOM!
The beast let out a final, guttural cry before shattering into mist.
Silence.
Then—the stone gate at the end of the chamber creaked open.
Erebus exhaled.
The trial was over.
But the true abyss still awaited.
And Xian Yue was waiting for him.
He steep forward.
The deeper he went, the darker
The stone gate groaned as it swung open.
Erebus stepped through, his boots echoing against the cold stone floor. The air was heavier here, thick with an unseen force—something powerful was watching.
The corridor stretched into darkness, abyssal runes flickering along the walls like dying embers. Every step forward sent a shiver through his soul, but he pushed on.
Then—a voice.
Chapter 21-"Mortal… you walk a path that was never meant for you."
The chamber ahead came to life.
A massive throne, carved from black obsidian, sat at the heart of the abyss. Shadows twisted around it, forming the shape of a being draped in a tattered black cloak, its face hidden behind a mask of shifting darkness.
The Abyss Sovereign.
Erebus grip tightened on his sword. This was no ordinary enemy.
"Where is Xian Yue?" he demande
Chapter 22 – The Cost of Defiance
Erebus gritted his teeth as the Abyss Sovereign's power bore down on him. It was like standing before a collapsing star—an unfathomable weight pressing against his very soul.
But he refused to kneel.
His sword pulsed with abyssal and celestial flames, resisting the Sovereign's presence.
"You say the Abyss whispers to me?" His voice was steady. "Then let it scream—I will not fall."
The Sovereign chuckled, the sound hollow and distant. "Brave words… but bravery alone does not defy the Abyss."
BOOM!
Dark tendrils surged from the throne, lunging toward Erebus. He twisted, dodging the first strike, but another tendril lashed

"You wield the power of gods, but what will you become?"

As Erebus stood at the precipice of destiny, he realized—
His path was no longer just about vengeance. It was about rewriting fate itself.
