Author's Annoying nonsense for the curious few...

The Skill Framework – How NOX's System Constructs Skills

NOX does not manually create skills—his Pathos Emotion System does it automatically, constructing them within his soul or mind. However, this isn't a random process. The system draws from his memories, insights into Laws, and emotional experiences, weaving them together into a structured ability.

Over his billion-year existence, NOX has encountered countless Laws, skills, Dharmas, and techniques. His system pulls from these past experiences, assembling fragments of knowledge to create a new skill. However, this process must follow a structured Skill Framework, ensuring the skill is stable, efficient, and logically sound before it materializes.

How NOX's System Constructs Skills

To form a skill, NOX's system follows these core steps:

1. Memory Extraction – The Foundation

The system searches NOX's vast memories for relevant knowledge to construct the skill.

It scans for:

Laws & Concepts NOX has studied or encountered. Techniques & Skills he has used, witnessed, or understood. Emotional Experiences tied to similar abilities, influencing their nature.

🔹 Example: If the system is creating a time-based skill, it retrieves NOX's past experiences with time manipulation, causality, and temporal distortions.

2. Conceptual Basis – Defining the Skill's Nature

The system establishes the skill's fundamental purpose and function, deciding:

Whether it is offensive, defensive, or supportive. The thematic foundation, such as fire manipulation, void distortion, or spatial warping.

🔹 Example: A vision-based skill could be built on perception expansion, light refraction, or even divine sight.

3. Emotional Imprint – The Fuel of the Skill

Skills are powered by Pathos Emotion Points, and the type of emotion influences their nature:

Rage → Creates destructive, explosive abilities. Sorrow → Warps reality, oppresses, or distorts perception. Serenity → Enhances precision, control, and endurance.

The stronger the emotion, the more potent and stable the skill.

🔹 Example: If the skill is fueled by despair, it might allow NOX to erase his presence from the world, making others subconsciously ignore him.

4. Law Integration – Merging with Reality

If the skill interacts with the Laws of Existence, the system determines how it will function without breaking reality:

Weak Law Integration → The skill might fail, backfire, or consume too much energy. Strong Law Integration → The skill seamlessly interacts with the world.

🔹 Example: If NOX creates a "non-existence" skill, it must properly integrate space, time, and causality—otherwise, he could erase himself instead.

5. Manifestation Method – How the Skill Works

The system defines the activation method, deciding:

Active vs. Passive – Does NOX need to activate it, or is it always in effect? Single-target vs. Area-based – Does it affect one person or an entire battlefield? Instant vs. Continuous – Does it trigger immediately or last for a duration?

🔹 Example: A temporary vision skill might be a passive enhancement or an active ability requiring conscious activation.

6. Stability Factor – Preventing Skill Failure

Since NOX is breaking the fundamental laws of reality, his system refines the skill to prevent instability.

Contradictions – If a skill defies logic, it may collapse or malfunction. Energy Efficiency – Unrefined skills consume too much Pathos Energy.

🔹 Example: A self-regenerating destruction technique must balance regeneration and destruction—otherwise, it could destroy NOX instead of his enemies.

7. Pathos Cost & Optimization – Final Refinement

The system calculates the Pathos Energy cost, ensuring the skill is as efficient as possible:

Complex Skills → Require more Pathos Energy. Reality-Breaking Abilities → Demand precise refinement. Redundant Processes → Are removed to reduce cost.

🔹 Example: Instead of an infinite omniscience skill, the system might refine it into temporary heightened perception, reducing cost while retaining effectiveness.

Limitations & Restrictions

1️⃣ NOX Cannot Manually Create Skills – His system fully automates skill construction, meaning he can only influence skill direction, not design them himself.

2️⃣ Pathos Energy Dependency – Without enough emotional energy, even a perfect skill cannot be created.

3️⃣ Memory Gaps & Corruption – If knowledge is incomplete, the skill may manifest with flaws or unpredictable effects.

4️⃣ Law Paradoxes – If a skill contradicts reality too severely, it may self-destruct or harm NOX instead.

5️⃣ No Instant Mastery – Even after creation, complex abilities require time to master.

Why the Skill Framework Matters

Prevents Skill Failure – Ensures skills work properly without collapsing. Optimizes Energy Use – Reduces unnecessary Pathos expenditure. Maintains Reality Stability – Prevents paradoxes and unintended consequences. Allows Scalability – Skills can evolve as NOX's understanding grows.
