Chapter 28 - Chapter 19

The room was heavy with tension as Ego Jinpachi stood before the players, the six flags of the world's strongest football teams displayed behind him. His piercing gaze swept across the remaining players, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife.

"These six teams represent football at its absolute peak," Ego began. "Each team is led by a master who embodies what it means to be world-class. You will train under them, learn from them—or you will crumble under their greatness."

Ego gestured to the flags as he introduced each master.

Japanese Team: Yoichi Isagi, the Greatest Striker in the World. A visionary player with unmatched precision and game intelligence, Isagi redefined what it means to be a forward. He was not only a global icon but also Kaito's father, adding a personal weight to the challenge.Brazilian Team: João Augustinha, the Lazy Sniper, a master of devastatingly powerful long-range shots. Korean Team: Mei Yun, the Best Assister in the World, whose precision and vision made him the ultimate playmaker.Chinese Team: Chen Chang, the Chinese Wall, a legendary defender who carried China to the forefront of world football.English Team: Edward Falcons, the Trapping Genius, a maestro of ball control and precision.Russian Team: Fyodor Ivanov, the Eccentric Prodigy, an unpredictable and flamboyant football genius.

Ego adjusted his glasses, smirking. "Each of you will now choose which team to join. Your choice will define your future. Fail to live up to the standards, and you'll be left behind."

The Choices Begin Japanese Team (Yoichi Isagi)

Kaito was the first to step forward, his eyes blazing with determination. "I'll join the Japanese team," he said firmly. It was a natural choice—not just because it was his home team, but because Yoichi Isagi, the man hailed as the world's greatest striker, was his father.

Training under his father was not just an opportunity—it was a test of his worth, a chance to prove he could rise beyond the shadow of the greatest player alive.

Joining Kaito was Rensuke Kunigami, the world's best midfielder, whose versatility and strength had made him an indispensable player and player in Japan's national team.

The final member of the Japanese team was Rin Itoshi, the genius striker and rival of Yoichi Isagi. Rin's expression was unreadable, but his words carried a sharp edge. "If I'm going to surpass him, I need to understand him first."

Brazilian Team (João Augustinha)

Keiji stepped forward next, a confident grin on his face. "Brazil," he announced. "I need to learn how to harness my power, and João's the perfect teacher for that."

Alexandro, from the Brazilian National Team

The third member was Kuroka, who had recently awakened his potential in Godspeed. "Precision and power. If I can master them both, I'll be unstoppable," Kuroka stated.

Korean Team (Mei Yun)

Takura hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward. "I'll train under Mei Yun," he said. His recent awakening had filled him with ambition, and Mei Yun's mastery of control and assists was what he needed to refine his game.

Joining him was Daichi, the Awakened Beast. His raw power and aggressive style needed tempering, and Mei Yun's precision and vision could provide the balance he needed.

The final member was Sora, "I want to become the next best assister"

Chinese Team (Chen Chang)

Korosei stepped forward without hesitation. "If I'm going to become the ultimate defender, I need to learn from the best," he said, his voice steady.

Two members of China's original national team joined him:

Wei Zhang, a towering defender known for his unyielding stamina and ability to shut down any attack. Hao Jie, a tactical genius who could read the game like no other. English Team (Edward Falcons)

Julias stepped forward, "Time to show my people why I am the crowned prince"

Two players from England's national team joined him:

Liam Parker, a flashy winger with lightning speed and pinpoint crossing accuracy.

Oliver Hayes, a striker renowned for his ability to trap the ball and score from impossible angles.

Russian Team (Fyodor Ivanov)

The remaining players exchanged uneasy glances, knowing that Fyodor Ivanov's chaotic and eccentric style was as terrifying as it was brilliant. Ego stepped in. "None of you are ready for him yet," he declared coldly. "Fyodor trains alone."

Final Groups Japanese Team (Yoichi Isagi): Kaito, Rensuke Kunigami, Rin Itoshi Brazilian Team (João Augustinha): Keiji, Alexandro, Kuroka Korean Team (Mei Yun): Takura, Daichi, Sora Chinese Team (Chen Chang): Korosei, Wei Zhang, Hao Jie English Team (Edward Falcons): Julias, Liam Parker, Oliver Hayes

Ego's Final Words

Ego's gaze swept across the room. "You've made your choices. Now, let's see if you have the guts to make them count. These masters won't coddle you. They'll crush you, mold you, and push you to your limits. If you can't handle it, don't bother coming back."

He paused, smirking. "And remember, even the greatest players started as nobodies. Prove you're not just lumps of talent waiting to rot."

As the players departed for their respective teams, Kaito glanced at the Japanese flag, his heart pounding. This was his chance—not just to train under his father, but to show the world he was more than Yoichi Isagi's son.

The road ahead was daunting, but the fire in his heart burned brighter than ever.
