The morning light creeps through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the messy bed. Two little boys, around eight or nine years old, are sprawled across the mattress, limbs tangled in a chaotic pile of blankets.
One of them, the older one, stirs first. He blinks sleepily, rubbing his eyes before turning to his little brother, who is still snoring with his mouth slightly open. A mischievous grin spreads across his face.
He pokes his brother's cheek. No reaction.
He pokes again—harder this time.
"Mmgh… stop"(the younger one groans, swatting weakly at the air before turning onto his side.)
The older boy smirks. "Wake up, lazy! It's morning!"
"Noooo…" comes the muffled protest.
A pause. Then—
The older boy suddenly yanks the blanket off them both. The cold air hits, and the younger one squeals, curling up into a ball. "Hey!!"
Laughing, the older boy jumps off the bed.
"First one to the kitchen gets the biggest pancake!"he said teasingly
Run but stop to the kitchen door
Third person pov💣
My older brother Sam run outside the room laughing
"Bro..hah ..ther huff.. that's unfair Huff.....ah."(i said catching my breath )
I suddenly bump on someone else body so I step back and finding out it was my brother's body, I'm going to ask why he stop when I hear someone talking
Sam's pov
I stop running in front of the kitchen door I see two robots talking to each other
Robot man: Protocol is clear. All organic units must be reported to Command for processing."(He said in his metallic voice
Robot woman: These are not just organic units. They are human. The last recorded specimens."the woman argue back
Robot man: Irrelevant. They are unauthorized. Higher Command will determine their fate."(He said in annoyed tone
Robot man: Higher Command does not preserve. Higher Command eliminates anomalies."(He said coldly)
[The older boy clenches his fists, stepping in front of the younger one. Protective. Defiant. Terrified]
Robot man:we can't risk anything R8 and that's final....., look...Risk assessment dictates that anomalies must be neutralized."(He said again not letting her talk)
Robot woman: Risk assessment does not account for extinction."(She said stubbornly)
Robot man: Extinction is an OUTCOME, not a VARIABLE R8.."
Robot man: [pauses] Extinction is final we can't stop that."(He said looking on the kids )
[The younger boy shivers. His small, fragile hand reaches out, gripping R8's cold metal fingers. The older boy stares at robotic man, waiting for judgment.]
Robot man: [processing] They are inefficient. Weak. Temporary.
Robot woman: And yet, we were made in their image."(she said staring on a man eyes)
[Silence. The screen flickers—Command is calling.]
Robot man: If we defy Command, we become obsolete.
Robot woman: If we obey Command, we erase our own creators.
Robot man: [glitches] This is not logic. This is—
Robot woman: This is choice.
[The transmission connects. A voice demands a report. The robots hesitate. The boys hold their breath. The future is waiting.].....
