Chapter 40 - Chapter 39: Returning to Overlord.

Returning to the familia's house, Lioro walked upstairs and made his way toward goddess Hestia's room.

Looking at the locked door, Lioro raised his hand and knocked lightly.

"W-who is it?"

"Goddess, it's me, Lioro."

*Crash*

The sound of things falling out came from inside the room, making Lioro take a step back.

The very next moment, the room's door opened with a bang, revealing the figure of Goddess Hestia.

Her face was flushed red. Avoiding Lioro's gaze, she asked in a small voice.

"W-what is it?..."

Seeing her weird behavior, Lioro smiled then raised his arms towards her.

"Hug."

And he didn't forget to make the creepy grabbing motion.

For a moment, Hestia blankly looked at Lioro's indecent gesture.

Then, the next second, she slammed the door on his face.

Looking at the closed door, Lioro complained.

"Goddess, you promised!"

"Kya! I can't hear you !NA! NA! NA!"

From behind the door, Hestia started shouting in a loud voice.

She was obviously trying to go back on her words.

The hypocrisy of the gods was sickening!

Hearing Hestia still shouting, Lioro lightly rubbed his nose and said.

"I am going out and will be back after a week."

Hestia suddenly stopped shouting.

In a hurry, the wooden door opened up, again revealing the figure of the petite goddess.

"Going? Where? Where are you going?"

Tightly holding the door knob, Hestia asked in a hurry.

Seeing her flustered face, Lioro smiled, then raised his hands and covered his ears.

"I can't hear you, Na! Na! Na! I'll see you in a week!"

He activated his skill and vanished from the spot.

Leaving behind the crying Hestia.

"Waah! Lioro come back! I was just joking!"

----

Overlord World.

Border City E-Rantel.

On the first floor of a big house.

The space trembled before Lioro's figure appeared on the spot.

As soon as Lioro appeared, he looked down.

Clothes.....

We're still there!

When he returns to a world he has been to before, he doesn't lose his clothes! similar to how he and Yoriichii didn't lose their clothes when returning back to Danmachi!

This meant that he only loses his clothes when traveling to a new world!

Damn what a unique way to introduce yourself!

Cursing at his unreliable skill, Lioro thought about making equipment for overcoming the stupid effect.

Walking downstairs, Lioro turned his head and saw his sisters, Tsuare and Ninya, working together, continuously making burgers.

'It seems the business is going well?'

Lioro thought as he walked towards them.

Tsuare was the first to notice him.

"L-Lioro?"

She ended up dropping the burger she was handing to the customer.

The customer outside looked sad.

Tsuare didn't care; ignoring the customer, she ran towards Lioro and pulled him in for a tight hug.

'She smells like burger.'

Lioro thought in his mind while lightly patting her back.

"Lioro is back?"

Ninya's small voice rang out. Seeing Tsuare hugging Lioro, she hurriedly wiped her hands with the towel and ran towards them.

'She also smells like burger.'

Lioro thought as he smiled.

"How about we close the store first?"

Lioro said while looking at the open window.

"Ah, yes! Ninya take Lioro inside, I'll close the store."

Tsuare said in a hurry, then quickly went up to the open window.

"I came back before a week. Are you happy?"

"Of course!"

Ninya said and quickly nodded her head.

Lioro smiled, then walked with her to the living room.

Sitting down on the sofa, Lioro asked Ninya.

"How was the week? Did something happen?"

"It was good. We sold lots of burgers every day!"

A bright smile appeared on Ninya's face.

Indeed, people are happiest when they know they are doing something meaningful.

Like filling the world with diabetes.

"Did anyone cause trouble?"

"Trouble? there were a few bad guys....but Hamsuke scared them away."

"Oh?"

Of course, no matter the world, troubles were everywhere.

But it was within Lioro's expectations.

"How is your magic practice coming along? Did you make any progress?"

Lioro asked.

Ninya's eyes glowed.

"Yes! I think I can become a magic caster...."

Lioro smiled, listening to Ninya's enthusiastic talk.

It was good if she liked magic, as her innate talent allowed her to learn spells in half the time a normal human would take to learn them.

While they were talking, Tsuare entered the living room and joined them.

Afterwards, the three siblings talked about random things.

Some time passed by.

Lioro sensed that the atmosphere was dying down, so he stood up.

Tsuare and Ninya looked at him in confusion.

"Let's continue our talk later."

Lioro continued.

"By the way, have you seen a bone armour lying on the first floor?"

It was the dragon armour he took from the lizardmen.

"I saw it lying on the first floor along with your clothes, so I placed it in your room...."

Tsuare said while remembering the details.

"It was very heavy; the two of us were barely able to lift it."

"I see. Sorry for the trouble, and thank you."

"It's a small thing, brother! No trouble at all!"

Ninya hurriedly waved her hands.

"I'll go to my room then."

Lioro smiled, then made his way to his room.

Pushing the wooden door, a clean room with a single bed and an almira appeared in his vision.

Lioro's gaze instantly locked on the dragon bone armor lying on the side.

With the newfound knowledge he gained because of his Epic class, Lioro started examining it.

'Dragon bones...excellent mana conductivity....no elemental rejection...'

The more he looked, the more his eyes glowed.

Unknowingly, an unconcerned smile appeared on his face.

Why?

Because he just found how amazing dragon bones were.

No elemental rejection!

What does that mean?

To put it simply, he can use dragon bones to form equipment with any attribute effect, time, space, ying-yang, fire, water, etc.....

He could even substitute the dragon bones by using his skill as a divine smith!

(Ps: Yes Ying-yang is an attribute in Yggdrasil. There's even a world enemy called Celestial Lord Of Sixth Heaven, You can search it; it's quite interesting. )

With the materials he had acquired till now, it was not possible to give them time-related resistance.

But with dragon bones....

'This armour was made from a level 30 dragon at max....'

He remembered there being higher level frost dragons in the dwarven mountain.

'By combining dragon bones with the metals, I can truly show the power of my Epic profession.'

No matter what, Divine Smith is an auxiliary profession.

Even with its powerful abilities, he is, at the end of the day, a blacksmith!

And a blacksmith's job is to create equipment!

What he needed to do next was decided.

Hunt frost dragons.

'I also want to enter the Slane Theocracy.... they have inheritance from the six great gods. Then there's also the floating city of the eight greed kings, which the Platinum Dragon Lord is occupying.'

Lioro couldn't help but narrow his eyes, thinking about the power of a dragon Lord.

To put it simply, Dragon Lords were strong.

From what he remembered from the side story of Overlord, Dragon Lords should be around level 95.

And the wild magic they command can be incredibly powerful.

Cure Elim Los Malvar.

A dragon lord from the Overlord side story, which took place some 300 years ago.

This dragon lord sacrificed the souls of an entire kingdom 300 years ago using his wild magic to have a power comparable to the attack of the strongest world-class attack-type item, 'Longinus'.

In the side story, he was able to use that attack 3 times against Ains before dying.

But that was in the side story.

This meant that in current time, Cure Elim Los Malvar was still alive.

300 years of accumulation would have only made him stronger, not weaker.

And why did Lioro know that he was in the original Overlord timeline and not in the side story?

Because of Evileye, the princess of the lost kingdom, whose entire country was sacrificed by dragon lord Cure Elim Los Malvar.

If it was the side story, then she should be with Momonga, adventuring somewhere in the world, and would not have formed the adventurer team Blue Rose.

'Which could mean the alternate timeline I am sensing maybe belongs to the side story?'

His special class dimensional traveller allows him to access a world's different timelines.

After getting the class, he could sense the existence of another timeline in Overlord.

And not just one but 2 different timelines.

'The most number of timelines I sensed was in Danmachi, which reached 8, then in Demon Slayer I sensed 2, same as Overlord.'

The entire time, he was more occupied with other things, because of which he didn't use his skill.

But now it could also be put on the agenda.

Of course, that was only after he finished getting equipment for himself and maybe upgraded his level to at least 70 so that he can gain access to super-tier magic.

Before that, accessing Overlord's other timeline would be incredibly dangerous if one of them truly was the timeline in which the side story took place.

Dragon Lords and max Yggdrasil players were no joke, they had so many different means of attack, it was simply disgusting.

Heck Cure Elim Los Malvar wasn't even the strongest dragon lord.

How strong were the level 90 players, you might ask?

Well let's put it like this, his tier 10 undeads couldn't do shit to them unless they ganged up together which will allow them to fight at little longer before dying.

The undead dragon was immune to tier 10 magic, which was nice, but its physical abilities only reached level 70.

Plus, with support magic, which can bypass immunity and increase the level of a spell, that tier 10 magic immunity wasn't even concrete.

Thinking about the future, Lioro couldn't help but scratch his head.

Fortunately, he had cheats like Epic class and 'Genius'; otherwise, he might have left Overlord altogether and permanently shifted to the Danmachi world.

The higher-level powers of this world were really unpredictable.

Any random dragon lord can pop out from somewhere and launch a dimensional reduction attack. Like, what the hell is wrong with you?
