Chapter 10 - Many People Like Emma Smith

In the following days, Emma Smith was very busy.

She met Lawyer Noah Davis. He was very capable and sorted out the ideas after a few meetings.

In the spacious and bright office, Noah Davis carefully read the materials submitted by Emma Smith and smiled gently. "You were introduced by Shaoting. Let me give you the bottom line. Optimistically speaking, it can be sentenced to a minimum of two years."

Emma Smith's mood was somewhat complicated.

Noah Davis sat leisurely with his hands crossed. He smiled again. "Shaoting asked me for help. Why didn't he handle this lawsuit himself? If he were to handle it, there is a great hope for acquittal."

Emma Smith was too embarrassed to say those things. She made up an excuse. "Mr. Johnson probably doesn't have time."

Lawyer Noah Davis smiled without saying a word.

He politely sent Emma Smith to the door. Emma Smith was very grateful to him, but she also knew that all these courtesies were because of Liam Johnson.

After getting out of the elevator, Emma Smith was about to take a taxi home.

"Emma Smith." Someone called her.

Emma Smith turned around and looked. It was an acquaintance, named Jack Davis.

Jack Davis was Oliver Garcia's childhood friend. He opened a trading company at a young age. When Emma Smith was with Oliver Garcia before, she met him several times at parties.

Jack Davis walked up to her and casually asked, "Here for business?"

Emma Smith didn't hide it. "I came to see Lawyer Noah Davis."

Jack Davis smiled. "Looking for my dad?"

Emma Smith was stunned.

Jack Davis... was Mr. Davis's son?

Jack Davis was tall and had a somewhat delicate appearance. The type that older sisters loved. He said to Emma Smith, "Emma Smith, let me treat you to dinner! We're all acquaintances. I'll do my best to help if I can."

Emma Smith hesitated for a moment and agreed.

Jack Davis drove the car over.

It was a red Ferrari, quite ostentatious. Sitting in the car, he said, "No girl has ever been in my car. Emma Smith, you're the first."

Emma Smith always felt that getting involved with Jack Davis was a bit unreliable!

Too enthusiastic!

They had only met a few times, and they hadn't even talked much.

Anyway, Emma Smith didn't want to offend the son of Mr. Davis. She got in the car.

Jack Davis waited for her to fasten her seat belt and asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Emma Smith wasn't pretentious and suggested, "Thai food!"

Jack Davis stepped on the accelerator.

In the car, Emma Smith didn't talk much. Her mind was full of the details of the lawsuit.

Jack Davis didn't disturb her.

Only when waiting for the red light, he would quietly look at her.

He had always liked Emma Smith. No one knew.

Oliver Garcia didn't know either. The ex-girlfriend he abandoned was coveted by many. If it weren't for considering Oliver Garcia, many would have made a move!

Half an hour later, Jack Davis drove the car to a Thai restaurant.

Because the food was good, there were quite a lot of customers.

Jack Davis asked for a seat by the window. When ordering, Emma Smith took the initiative and said, "Let me treat!"

Jack Davis smiled. "I really can't tell, Emma Smith. You're such an initiative girl."

Emma Smith knew he was joking and said while ordering, "Jack Davis, don't joke with me. Treating to a meal is nothing."

Jack Davis restrained himself.

Emma Smith was treating him only because of his father. He still had this self-awareness.

He looked for an opportunity to flirt with her again.

Just then, an outstanding couple walked in at the door.

The man was handsome and the woman was beautiful.

It was none other than Oliver Garcia and Liam Johnson.

Emma Smith also saw them. She immediately used the menu to cover her face, thinking in her heart: Getting involved with Jack Davis was really unreliable!

Jack Davis was afraid that Oliver Garcia wouldn't see him.

He greeted actively, "Brother Changqing."

Oliver Garcia saw him and was about to speak. His gaze paused: The girl sitting opposite Jack Davis, even though her face was covered, he recognized at a glance that it was Emma Smith.

Oliver Garcia frowned. Why was Emma Smith with Jack Davis?

Jack Davis was especially kind to explain it to him. "Emma Smith asked my dad to help her with the lawsuit. I was learning about the case from her."

Men are sharp. With just a few words from Jack Davis, Oliver Garcia guessed his intention.

—Jack Davis liked Emma Smith. This was a declaration of war against him!

Oliver Garcia sneered. "Jack Davis, are you so kind?"

He also said to Emma Smith, "If you trust him, you'll be sold and still count the money for him."

Women's intuition made Liam Johnson uneasy. She asked, "Oliver Garcia, do you know her?"
