Dall peered back to the wolf constellation, who was staring at the demon wolf just as confused as Dall. It stood at around 8 feet tall, and looked like it was the size of a heavyweight body-builder. It glowed with bright green eyes, and had fangs that reached out of its mouth and nearly touched the ground, its fur was black and white, where the white overruled the black. It was drooling horrendously while looking towards Dall, it's mouth wide open and warm breath radiating across the entire room. Fear began to set in when he saw the large monster sizing him up like a rabbit to be hunted. He felt his legs lock, and his blood run cold.
It happened in an instant, the giant animal pounced forwards with a growl, leaping with the might of a subway train at full speed. Adrenaline just then hit Dall, and he went leaping to the side, narrowly missing being trampled to death by the killer hound. He rolled and stumbled as he lost balance, fumbling to catch himself and level to his feet once again. It had already started again however, the dog lunged forwards snaring its teeth, Dall slid to the side again, but not before being met by its large paw which sent him spiraling across the room.
He smashed into the wall on the other side; all his breath had been knocked out of him. Blood was spewing out of his mouth as a result of his organs taking damage. The dog was further now, and it was far away enough so that he could collect himself and stand back up. I'm going to die Dall trembled. He fiddled for his blades before fully pulling them out and taking a poor excuse of a stance. It was simple, either he fought and maybe lived or didn't and certainly died. He had no choice to ponder, he just had to ready himself.
His body was screaming in pain, blood was running down his mouth and the foul smell of the wolf's breath was gagging him. He had to do something and fast, he wasn't strong enough to kill the wolf as is, there was no way he would stand any chance against a large dog that wanted his head. He had to think. Think.. Think...
"..." the dog was running at him faster and faster. It's pace increasing at a rapid rate. It was nearly 5 feet away from Dall, when the nimble malnourished child dived to the side. The wolf couldn't stop itself in time and smashed into the wall. It didn't do much damage, but the big dog was stunned. Dall had concluded, there wasn't any way "He" could kill the dog. However, that wasn't to say it couldn't die at all.
He ran forwards, the hound was still in a daze from the impact so it didn't notice Dall at first, however it quickly leaped forwards and went after Dall. He slid, hoping to catch the underside of the beast, however when he ended up coming out the other end, it's tail smashed into his side sending him tumbling across the stone floor. Blood was now oozing out of a gash in his skull, he couldn't stand without shaking. This impact took a lot from him. Damn wolf and its overpowered tail. He hadn't notice before, but the wolf's tail flew at incredible speeds; it was probably the source of the wolfs movement power.
Yet it seemed fragile; when Dall was smashed with the tail, his dagger sliced it and drew blue blood from the wound. As hard as it was to, he still made out a yelp from the sound of the tumbling and smashing of the stone floor. It charged forwards, visibly aggravated, this time however, it was hiding it's tail between its legs as to not get it cut. Dall smiled, he found its Achilles heel, just how does he get to it?
He had no time to think, as the wolf was on top of him. It smashed its paw down, ready to crush the small insect below it. However, in a stroke of wonder, a white translucent shield appeared infront of Dall, it blocked the impact of the blow and startled the wolf sending it bolting backwards. Dall looked for the source; when he saw the constellations all arranged at the edge of each corner of the shield. He smiled, forgetting about his magic companions that have been through the entire maze with him. He stumbled to his feet not wasting any time.
This time, he was taking the initiative. He lunged forwards, running with all the adrenaline left in his body, and slipped around to the side of the wolf. A flash of cyan light came from the flower constellation which temporarily blinded the demon dog; Dall slide under it and sliced the tendons of its two front paws. It wasn't a deep cut, but it should disorient the animal.
He leaped back and ran towards a wall. The animal cried out in pain, as its furious expression became even more frenzied. It untucked its tale and leaped towards it's assailant, its green eyes glowing in a blur as it charged forwards. Its tale wagged faster, speeding it up to a speed that it hadn't reached before. It charged at the tiny foe infront of it with such a force that equated to a freight train smashing into a wall. It was 5 feet from Dall, 4 feet, 3 feet; Dall finally leaped out to the side narrowly avoiding the animals grasp.
It's head smashed into the wall with a yelp, lodging it between the hole that it had cause by sending Dall flying previously. It was stuck, it tried hard to push its head out, and Dall seized this opportunity. He lunged forwards and swung at its tail, however he was too weak. The first blade only caught into the flesh. The animal roared and swung it's tail, making Dall who was hanging on to the knife fling with it. He tried to compose himself under the stress of soaring through the air rapidly, and reached for his second dagger, stabbing it into the tail right above the previous cut. Dall used the motion of the animals frenzied tail to twist his body along with the knives. Severing the tail once and for all.
Dall fell and tumbled along the ground, keeping his arms outstretched as to not fall onto his daggers. The animal let out a pain roar, and jerked even harder at its head in order to escape from the wall. Dall stumbled to his feet, when the dog finally dislodged itself from the wall and turned to face Dall. Blue blood was splattered all over the place from the dripping wound where its tail was. It lunged forwards at Dall, this time however; considerably slower. Still, Dall was recovering from the fall and wasn't fast enough. The hounds paw smashed into him, once again sending him flying. This time however, Dall had adapted and landed on his feet, slowing the impact with his blades.
He charged forwards, this was his final assault. He willed for the constellations to wrap his left knife. The wolf constellation and the dragon both circled the knife and coated it, making it glow a radiant white and released a faint magic string that was attached to Dall's wrist. He leaned forwards and chucked the dagger, sending it flying directly at the wolf's left eye. It connected with accuracy, and Dall leaped to the right of the wolf, pulling the dagger along its face cutting open it's other eye as he jumped on its back.
The wolf squirmed and howled, newly blinded by Dall's blades. He wasn't wasting any more time, he jammed both of his daggers into the wolf's neck, and began to twist. Using the constellations strings, he propelled the daggers downwards, making a clean cut all around the wolf's entire neck. He pulled himself up once more, and jammed both knives into the wolf's skull. It howled and jerked once more before finally halting it's movement, growing limp and falling on it's side once more, leaving a pool of blood flowing from its neck.
Dall fell on his back, arms sprawled out. He was panting heavily and catching his breath. He laughed and cheered, the first time he'd ever killed something and it was in such a flashy way. He sat up and winced. It was flashy sure, but not without a few broken ribs. He stood up and walked over to his blades, pulling them out of the carcass's skull and sheathing them. A pool of blue blood collected at his feet, drenching his leather shoes and radiating a foul stench. He winced, "can you guys smell?" he looked at the constellations, they all began to slowly back away from him.
"It's not that bad right?" he looked in embarrassment. "I'll clean up at the next safe-room I swear!" they all turned away from him, the only on still with him was the flower. He sighed, and started over to the carcass. The constellations eventually followed in suit.
