The arena buzzed with excitement as the first match was called.
Jian Feng stood among the competitors, his expression unreadable.
For many disciples, this tournament was a stepping stone toward greater opportunities. But for Jian Feng, it was his declaration of war against fate.
An elder stepped forward, his gaze sharp as he announced the first match.
"Jian Feng versus Liu Wei!"
The crowd murmured.

The elder raised his hand.

He staggered back, eyes wide. What just happened?!

Another slash.
Then another.
And another.
Each strike was precise, cutting only his robes and grazing his skin—but the message was clear.
Jian Feng was toying with him.
Fear crept into Liu Wei's eyes. "You—"

A final strike sent him crashing out of the arena.
Silence.
The audience stared in shock.
A single exchange.
Jian Feng had won instantly.
His name rose in the rankings—and with it, fear spread among the competitors.
