Chapter 8 - Gomerai

Xers' eyes slowly closed as he heard a whisper in his ear:

"Gomerai. Quick, shout 'Gomerai'! I am your spiriture!"

Xers, with his eyes closed, tried to hear this whisper amidst the noise around him. Xers came to his senses and shouted, "Gomerai!" The ground began to shake. Xers, who didn't yet know what Gomerai was, was experiencing a surge of adrenaline. At that moment, a translucent red dragon emerged from the ground in a second. This dragon was the reflection of Xers' soul. The dragon that emerged from the ground began attacking everyone on the battlefield. Xers was utterly shocked by what was happening. With an elegance beyond words, the dragon was tearing through all the soldiers. Xers suddenly felt a surge of confidence and began fighting all the soldiers. Xers was unleashing Geniga techniques left and right. The soldiers, furious and in shock, attacked Xers. The dragon's name was Gomerai. Every time Xers shouted "Gomerai," the dragon grew more violent, turning the surroundings into ruins. Sabre, watching from a distance, couldn't believe his eyes. Wounded and exhausted, he sent his two master swordsmen and mage samurai to deal with Xers. Xers had already killed all the soldiers. Only two samurai remained. Gomerai had vanished on its own. Xers didn't know what to do. Then, he remembered his last resort: using his Hayzen. His Hayzen wasn't fully developed yet, but he had no choice. At that moment, Xers said, "Light Hayzen!" and the area was engulfed in darkness. The two samurai inside were immobilized, unable to move. The power Xers had gained from Gomerai enhanced his Hayzen. As a result, Xers achieved superhuman speed. He delivered rapid slashes to the two samurai, who couldn't even comprehend what was happening. After thousands of slashes, the Hayzen deactivated, and when Xers looked around, he saw no one. There were no corpses or anyone left. Only two Klena cult sergeants stood before him. They had carried the bodies of Hanken, who was still alive, and the other soldiers. The two Klena cult sergeants simultaneously activated their Hayzen. Xers was both dazed and blinded. At that moment, he shouted, "Gomerai!!" and Gomerai emerged from the ground again. Even though Xers was disoriented, he could still control Gomerai. The dragon played with the two sergeants as if it were toying with them. The sergeants couldn't do anything.

Xers shouted, "This is the Salvation!" and for the first time, Gomerai began spewing flames. The sergeants were burned alive. Xers calmed down and was greeted by the small remaining Demon cult army. The Demon cult army had watched the battle from afar. Some even worshipped Xers. However, the war was lost no matter what. Commander Norfides was dead, and 75% of the Demon cult had been wiped out. The remaining 1,000 members of the Demon cult had settled on the farthest island of Shadowia, Sansomsoube. Xers was grieving. He didn't know what had happened to Hanken and was mourning the death of his teacher and commander, Norfides. The Klena cult had definitively won the war. The lands entrusted by Norflay had suffered a heavy blow.

Xers looked at himself in the mirror. Even his way of wearing the mask had changed. Now, his mask appeared the moment he touched his face. His mask was red, with upward-curving double horns and a demonic grin. He didn't understand how his mask had evolved. Xers had now determined his path. He would follow in the footsteps of his commander, Norfides, and restore the Demon cult to its golden age. However, it would take at least 4-5 years for the Demon cult to recover. Xers had risen to the rank of senior sergeant in the new Demon cult. This time, no one from the Norf family would ascend to the throne. It was unknown whether Norfides had any children. Therefore, Gihanne Perescht, the most authoritative figure after Norfides, had taken the throne.

Gihanne Perescht was Norfides' childhood friend. They trained together and played together. While Norfides was talented, Perescht was equally skilled. That's why Perescht was the most suitable person to ascend to the throne after Norfides. Perescht liked Xers very much. That's why he made him his right-hand man, promoting him to senior sergeant.

After these events, the Demon cult, which had moved to Sansomsoube Island, fell into a long period of obscurity.
