"Brother Chen, everything is ready." A voice sounded from outside the palace. Opening his eyes a young man stood up from meditation, a smile gracing his face. He was dressed in azure robes lined with gold, his straight black hair draped down to his shoulders.
"WOOSH!"
The doors to the palace opened and the young man stepped out. Waiting for him was a middle aged man with scruffy brown hair and an unkempt beard. He was likewise smiling as he locked eyes with the young man. "Well actually, I suppose I should be calling you Sect Master now."
Hearing this the young man chuckled lightly before looking down at the mountain below. This was his Sect, the Azure Leaf Sect and today was its founding day. It would be an understatement to say that he was excited.
When Chen brokethrough into Foundation Establishment at the age of 34 he began gathering resources and preparing for the founding of his Sect. From cultivation materials, to techniques, even a number of capable people who'd help him run the Sect, he'd accounted for everything.
The last step was the Sect's actual location. On the Violet Seed Continent sects could be found everywhere, and encroaching on the wrong sect's territory could spell disaster. Fortunately about a year ago Chen stumbled upon a mortal kingdom at the southern fringes of the continent, the Radiant Gold Kingdom. No Sect was present within its territory and after a brief negotiation with the King, Chen's Sect was set to be the Kingdom's guardian Sect and the Radiant Dawn mountain was provided.
"Damn right you should, Elder Ren." Chen chuckled before hooking his arm around Ren's neck. Truth be told Ren was actually younger than Chen despite looking older, being about 38 years old this year. They had met about 20 years ago when Chen was on a mission and had been friends ever since.
"How's the formation looking by the way?" Chen asked a curious expression on his face. "Good very good, I'd say its my best work. While not a Grade 2 formation its at the limits of Grade 1. Unless a Foundation Establishment cultivator hits it at full power, or hundreds of Qi Gathering cultivators attack it, it should hold. Also..." Ren explained, but before he could say more Chen shut him up.
"I understand you've told me the rest before, if you continue we'll be here till tomorrow morning and we'd have ruined the founding." Chen said much to Ren's dismay. "Fine but after its done you better give me some gold, I heard a new batch Radiant Tiger wine was just brewed."
Chen simply shook his head at this and told Ren to go along. Naturally as the Sect Master he had to make a dramatic final entrance.

At the foot of the mountain thousands of ordinary citizens were gathered, along with the Kingdom's nobility. Even the King was present for this auspicious occasion much to the shock of the citizens. Before them stood a large gate, azure in colour with the name "Azure Leaf" written in gold, each stroke decisive in nature.
"DONG!"

"DONG!"
"DONG!"
A bell sounded from atop the mountain and in an instant 4 figures descended standing in front of the sect gate. They were dressed in azure robes lined with silver, among them was Ren. Taking a step forward Ren bowed towards the King and then spoke.
"We four Elders of the Azure Leaf Sect humbly ask all of you to come with us to the Sect plaza, there the founding ceremony will begin." With that the other three Elders also bowed before turning and walking past the gate. They the began ascending the steps and soon reached a large plaza.
After some time everyone had gathered within the plaza and looked towards the Elders. They then turned towards the top of the mountain, gazing upon the Sect Master's palace.
"We humbly request the Sect Master to begin the ceremony!" The Elders echoed out towards the mountain peak. Nothing happened, and then silence permeated the plaza.
"BOOM!"
And then all of a sudden an explosion echoed and a figure appeared behind the Elders. No one there could even perceive how he had moved. Dressed in azure robes lined with gold, his gaze was serious yet not arrogant. Upon arriving he turned towards the King and gave him a nod before beginning the ceremony.
"Today marks the founding day of my Azure Leaf Sect!" Chen declared his voice echoing throughout the plaza. The citizens of the Kingdom were shocked by this display, and even the nobility was amazed by his earlier actions.
"I Sect Master Chen vow to advance the Azure Leaf Sect into a sect that the whole Radiant Gold Kingdom can be proud of. As the Kingdom's guardian as long as we stand so to shall the Radiant Gold Kingdom! May prosperity reign throughout the lands.............." Chen speech went on for a while, and while it held truth within it, it was mostly a formality.
"With that said all of you here will be given a blessing for being in attendance." Chen said before waving his right hand slightly. A faint projection of an azure leaf appeared behind him, and a strong energy flowed through the crowd.
Immediately everyone felt a bit stronger, the old even felt like they had grown a few years younger, and those who had chronic pain found it fading. The citizens were thoroughly convinced in this Sect Master's might.
"We thank the Sect Master for this blessing!" The crowd echoed as Chen merely smiled slightly and gave a nod. He then raised his hand and a blast of energy shot out exploding within the dome of heaven.
Dazzling light shone down on the crowd as they looked on in awe. Those lights then converged together almost identical to the leaf behind Chen. "Let it be known that on this day, the 7th Day of the 7th Month in the 777th year of the Eternal Era calendar, my Azure Leaf Sect has been founded!"
The leaf in the sky then erupted with might, and Chen disappeared leaving the crowd flabbergasted.
"We thank everyone for attending! With that out of the way we will now begin the first round of recruitment!" Ren announced, and thus the journey of the Azure Leaf Sect began.
