Chapter 1 - The first encounter.

A gleaming limousine pulled up before the imposing gates of Seoul National University. Yuna possessed a striking beauty that drew attention, but her sharp wit and icy demeanor often left people feeling chilled. Her intelligence was undeniable, but so was her rudeness.

Heads turned as Yuna entered, her striking appearance drawing gasps and whispers. She settled into her seat, the classroom momentarily silent under the weight of her presence. The teacher began the introductions, but before Yuna could speak, the door swung open, revealing a flustered figure. A hasty apology to the teacher followed, but Yuna's eyes were already fixed on the newcomer: Hyeri, the familiar sting of their long-standing rivalry instantly igniting.

Hyeri, a dedicated athlete since childhood, Hyeri excelled at basketball, yet her academic achievements were equally impressive, surpassing even Yuna's.

Hyeri's eyes, cold and unwavering, met Yuna's across the room. For a long moment, the two girls held each other's gaze, a silent acknowledgment of their unspoken rivalry. Then, the teacher, breaking the tension, invited Hyeri to introduce herself. "A pleasure to meet you all," Hyeri said smoothly, "My name is Hyeri, and I'm twenty years old."

Hyeri sat down, and Yuna finished her introduction. "I'm Yuna lee, 19 years old." After class, Yuna approached Hyeri's desk, suspicion lacing her tone: "Is this some kind of game? It seems like you're always turning up wherever I go."A withering glare shot from Hyeri's eyes. "Spare me the delusions," she said, her voice dripping with disdain. "I'm here on a scholarship." She gathered her things, her departure leaving Yuna fuming.

A bitter academic rivalry simmered between Hyera and Yuna, dating back to kindergarten. Hyera, the perennial top student, and Yuna, her ever-present shadow in second place, were locked in a relentless battle for academic supremacy.

The harsh words of Mrs. Lee Juhee and Mr. Lee Jaeho echoed constantly in Yuna's ears, a relentless reminder of her parents' disapproval. No matter how hard she tried, she could never escape their disdain. The shadow of Sooha's death—a tragic fire where her sister had saved Yuna's life—cast a long and bitter shadow, made heavier by her parents' unrelenting blame.
