Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Red Spirit Part I

— To pull this off, we need to pretend to fight each other while our [ Unique Skill ] is still charging! One wrong move and we'll lose the chance to seal the The Red Spirit Warrior.

The Quick of the Hein Kingdom, Jess thought while looking at another warrior. The other warrior understood what Jess thought and nodded but his expression became worried and looked at another warrior.

— Flame, please follow our plan...!

The female warrior, Flame smirked and looked at another warrior who appears to be just having fun.

"Are ya' having fun, The Red Spirit Warrior?!"

The Red Spirit grinned before replying,

"Same as you, Ms. Goddess~".

"I won't fall in love with just that much flattery, y'know?"

"If it's only once, sure. But if there are more of these little flattery, then I'm sure you'll eventually fold."

"That's a bold assumption, 'Red Spirit'."

Hundreds of pointy shaped silver object manifested around Flame and was quickly shot towards the Red Spirit. The Red Spirit flicked like a glitching game character before disappearing and reappearing behind Flame. Before she could react, she was already sent flying and went through multiple mountains from the Red Spirit's kick. Not a long moment after, sudden sparks appear around the Red Spirit and also before he could react, a very strong explosion occurred.

While watching their exchange, the other warriors looked at one another and nodded before smiling. A thought they all share came.

— She's with us!

While Flame and the The Red Spirit Warrior fought, the remaining 3 warriors continued with their facade while having so much joy in their souls.

The battlefield erupted with explosions of every color, each blast carrying a different pitch and pressure, distorting the air itself.

At last, their moment arrived. The three warriors exchanged quick glances before acting.

"--k you all! Just ---king die!"

The slim warrior shouted and casted 2 huge magic circle onto the battlefield. Without giving anyone a chance, an explosion quickly manifested that threw everyone which were followed by a huge smoke cloud that covered everyone's eyes.

The next stage of their plan started.

[ Rank 10 - Light Skill: Vineer ]

[ Rank 5 - Earth Skill: Maán ]

[ Rank 3 - Light Skill: Vhena ]

The Giant, Baldur, The Quick of Hein Kingdom, Jess, and The Great Mage of West, Mira. One after another, the 3 warriors used their skills that will be able to help them sds through the cloud.

One would think that their plan is to attack while the The Red Spirit Warrior, but that would be wrong. That plan would not be bad if it's against some low grade magicians and such, but against their current target, such plan would be deemed childish.

The 3 warriors looked at each of their positions and looked at Flame and Red Spirit that's currently in the battlefield. Shortly after, a strong presence of a magic category capable of overthrowing a kingdom manifested.

[ Unique Magic Category: Eldritch: Rank 2 - All Seeing Eyes! ]

A bunch of red and green particles appeared and started flickering aroun the Red Spirit.

The activation of a skill that it's main purpose is to simply see through thick smoke sent shivers to the 3 Warriors' spine.

Skills, Magic, et cetera. Almost each individual have an affinity for 1 or more magic which are Light, Earth, Nature, Water and Fire. The type they gain upon birth depends on many factors such as genetics, blessings and such. Similarly, their strength also depends on many factors such as intelligence, determination, genetics, and many more. But on rare occasions, one can have a magic affinity for rare magic attributes called [ Unique Magic Category ].

These are rare to acquire by birth not because they are powerful, mythical, or anything. They are rare simply because they are artificial. But despite being mostly weak, there are a few exceptions.

The battlefield was a spectacle of chaos and creation—magic clashing in defiance of logic itself. The Red Spirit flickered through space, his form distorting like a shattered reflection, breaking apart and reforming between frames of reality.

Flame grinned, golden light warping and twisting around her, her magic reshaping in real-time to match his erratic flow. She wasn't just keeping up—she was adapting.

Their battle was brutal, exhilarating.

Loud, screeching sound of hundreds of golden weapons that is forming around her aroused, launching forward in a storm of pure destruction. The Red Spirit flickered—gone.

The Red Spirit appeared behind her. Before she was able to react, Flame was already soaring through the sky, mountains crumbling under the force of her impact.

She emerged from the rubble, wiping dust from her cheek, smirking. "That's the second time already. "

The Red Spirit's grin widened. "Then let's try make it three. "

The three warriors continued their staged battle, their blows bright and theatrical, their expressions unreadable behind the roaring battlefield. The air pulsed with something unnatural.

Baldur parried a fake strike from Jess, murmuring, "Eldritch."

Jess smirked, dodging Mira's spell. "A magic that doesn't follow rules."

Mira's gaze flickered toward the flickering figure of The Red Spirit. "It's not just magic. It's a phenomenon. His power doesn't cast spells. It happens."

The Red Spirit flickered—his form shifting between existence and absence, his presence a jagged wound in reality itself. The Eldritch magic around him wasn't cast—it was just there, appearing and vanishing like a corrupted frame in an endless, unwatched film.

Flame cracked her neck, stepping forward. The golden light around her shifted, thickening—becoming something other.

Jess inhaled sharply. "And then there's her."

Baldur's grip tightened. "The only other one to create a Unique Magic Category from nothing."

Mira smirked. "If Eldritch is chaos incarnate, then what she made is the opposite—it's control itself."

Then the battlefield changed. It wasn't an explosion. It wasn't a spell. It was presence.

A force that seized the world and made it still.

A tremor ran through the earth. The air itself seemed to hold its breath.

Then—light. Golden, Endless, and Absolute.

Baldur clenched his fists. "Here it comes."

[ Legendary Grade - Unique Magic Category: Control & Creation! ]

A soundless pulse rippled outward, and the battlefield obeyed. The ground reshaped beneath her feet. Magic in the air twisted, bent—rearranged itself as if following an unspoken command.

The Red Spirit's glitching, flickering form froze. For the first time, he was caught mid-transition, half-there, half-not. He turned his head, slow, calculating.

Flame exhaled, her smile sharper than ever.

"Now, Red Spirit—let's see which one of us rewrites the other first."

The three warriors met each other's eyes. No words were needed. It was time.

Four identical skills, cast simultaneously, from every direction.

The Red Spirit's expression flickered, unreadable. His gaze drifted across the spells, analyzing. Then, his head tilted.

"…I've never seen anything like this before."

He attempted to move. Nothing.

A pause.

He tensed. More strength. Nothing.

The warriors watched as something shifted in him—an instinctive, raw force of nature realizing, for the first time, that it had been caught.

A surge of power erupted from his body, but still—nothing.

For the first time since their battle began, silence fell.

Jess exhaled, a grin creeping onto his face.

"We've won…!"

Mira's voice barely contained her breathless awe. "We're winning!!"

Baldur lowered his guard just slightly, a rare smile forming. "Thank God…"

Then—

The Red Spirit Warrior suddenly calmed.

A silence of a different kind now filled the battlefield.

The warriors exchanged glances.

"I…"

The Red Spirit's voice was quiet, yet it reached all of them.

"I will accept my defe—"

Before he could finish his words, she interrupted by throwing a pebble on the back of his head. The warriors froze.

The Red Spirit blinked, slowly turning his head.

Standing there, grinning like a mischief god, was Flame.

"Don't accept this kind of boring ending, Red Spirit."

Jess's eye twitched. "Flame! What are you doing?!"

Flame laughed. "Jess, hey! I also don't know what I'm doing myself! Hahaha!"

Jess's heart pounded. "Damn it, Flame!" His gaze snapped to the others. "They're both inside the area of effect—seal them now!"

Flame smirked, thoughts racing.

— The skill's power is only barely enough to hold him for a few seconds. There's no way…

But when she looked at the other two warriors—she froze.

They weren't hesitating. They weren't doubting. They were ready.

Then, they spoke as one.

"From the abyss beyond knowing, where time is devoured and stars are but fading embers, I call thee forth.

Through flesh unmade and whispers unspoken, let the veil be torn.

Heed my voice, O Devourer of Silence, and step into this world—where terror has no name, and mercy has never dwelled."

The sky died.

Light vanished, snuffed out like a candle in an endless void.

A silence unlike any other descended. Not the absence of sound. The absence of presence itself.

Thunder rumbled, but it came from nowhere and everywhere. The air itself thickened, pressing down like an unseen weight.

Flame grinned before speaking, "Red Spirit, cast your regeneration spell. The second strongest, not the first."

The Red Spirit studied her for a long moment. Then—he chuckled, "I don't know what you're planning, but sure, why not?"

The three warriors startled, Jess immediately shouting—

"N O W !!"

A voice from the Devourer of Silence was heard.

" / YO U / SH ALL / D IE /"

The Devourer of Silence emerged.

And within the sealing array, Flame met its gaze.

A slow, knowing grin crept onto her face.

"You're late."
