Chapter 1 - The Escape into Ice

Year 2089. Earth was no longer a home; it was a battlefield of greed and power. The rich had turned the planet into a playground of luxury, leaving the poor to suffer on toxic lands. Arjun, a rebellious scientist and engineer, had uncovered a secret, the elite were preparing to leave Earth in advanced spacecraft, abandoning the rest to die. But when he tried exposing their plans, he became a target.

With nowhere left to run, Arjun made a desperate decision. He traveled to the Himalayas, where he had secretly built a cryogenic chamber hidden deep within a glacier. If he couldn't escape now, he would escape into the future, by freezing himself. His calculations suggested that natural ice could preserve him for centuries, long enough for civilization to change. He stepped into the pod, activated the freezing sequence, and closed his eyes, embracing the unknown.
