INTRODUCTION:
SECTION 375 DEFINITION:
Section 375 of the India penal code defines rape as "sexual intercourse with a woman against her will, without her consent, by coercion , misrepresentation or fraud or a time when she has been intoxicated or duped ,or is of sound mental health and in any case if she is under 18 years of her ago.
RAPE:
Nothing has really changed years after the Nirbhaya case . The 2012 gang rape case shook the entire nation. However,it didn't change anything. Every now and then we wake up to the news of brutal case of rape in India . According to statistics,a woman is raped in India every 16 minutes, Isn't it horrifying? From the 8 years -old Kathua rape to the Dalit sister's rape, there is a long list of case that left us enraged. Brutal attacks against women continue to happen. Hear all one the incident that shook after Nirbhaya case . Rape is one of the most common offenses against women in India and the rising numbers are indeed shocking.
BACKGROUND OF THE CASE:
It was around 01P.M when the young woman returned to the toce plaza where she had parked her red scooter. It had a feat tire , and a group of men offered to help.
Then they grabbed her, police said, took turns raping her and the smothered her to death. They fired burning the evidence of the crime . Her charred body was found the next morning , identified by her elephant shaped pocket and white scarf near by.
The killing of the 26 year old veterinarian in the south Indian city of Hyderabad last week has provoked outrage and anguish across India , police arrested four men and said they had confessed to the killing.
DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE CASE:
On the fateful day of November 27,2019, Disha reached home by 5:00pm.she was having a busy day: She had scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist in Gachibowli that evening. She had been seeing a dermatologist once in three months, here father says,to get treated for a mild acne rash. At about 5:40pm , she again left home . She parked her scooter at the tondupally tole plaza , 7km from the Raju Gandhi international airport , along the outer ring road , to catch a cab to Gachibowli . It must have been after 6pm. When she parked her scooter at the plaza . After the appointment , She returned by 9:30pm to drive back home .
The spot where Disha parked her scooter is a busy area. Apart from vehicular traffic , there is always and taking off. In the dark , when she returned , disha discovered that the rear tyre of her scooter it been deflated . As she wondered what to do , a man stepped out of the shadow to offer help . His name was Mohammad Arif and he was 26 years old lorry driver . Arif called his helper , Jollu Shiva , to fix the tyer .
Discomfited by this turns of events , Disha called her sister . She told her that she was afraid and urged her sister to continue taking to her as there were not many people in the area . Her sister asked her to leave the vehicle there . She said she would call back as she was on night shift that day . When she did , about 15minutes later , Disha's phone was switched off.
According to police , Arif and his two accomplices , Jollu Naveen and chennakeshwlu , abducted Disha and the took turns to rape her . Air forced a soft drink laced with alcohol down her throat . The noise from the air craft and vehicle would have deouened any scream or sound her , the police say . Jollu shiva , who had taken her scooter away turned with it and joined the men . Then the four of them together helped her down and closed her mouth and nose for long time. Disha died of asphyxiation , they then took her body to an underpass near chatanpalli and set it on fire . Policy Say that during interrogation , the four men confessed to having checked if Disha had burnt beyond identification , after the dastardly crime they all went home.
