Chereads / Conquering My Female Bullies / Chapter 3 - How it started

Chapter 3 - How it started

Mia's POV ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I've known most of these girls since I was little, and since forever our friend group has been virtually inseparable.

First one I ever met was Lucy, when I was just five years old. I don't quite remember the details of how we met, it's been so many years, but I vividly remember finding her extremely short temper amusing for such a small and cute girl.

We ended up enrolling in the same elementary school, and at that point I met both Ava and Luna. Two sisters that couldn't be more different from each other.

Ava is a bright and happy girl with natural pitch black hair. She sports a couple of pink eyes that are actually really similar to mine, just a few shades darker though.

I remember how much I hated that girl when I first met her, her overwhelming optimism and natural charm a little too much for me to bear at the time.

It grew on me with time though, to the point her personality started becoming infectious.

In other words, I believe a big part of who I am today comes from her own personality merging with mine.

On the other hand, Luna is a rather quiet and cold girl that barely ever shows a smile, an almost comical opposite to her sister.

That's not all she is though. When you see past her cold and stiff demeanor, you'll see a very emotionally vulnerable girl that can't even express how much she loves the people she cares for.

They both used to look practically identical, and the only real way to tell them apart with a glance was with the color of their eyes, with Luna having two ethereal dark purple eyes you would recognize the moment you saw them.

I swear, if you were to look into her eyes long enough, you would be able to see a whole universe dancing inside.

This changed when we reached middle school though, because to the surprise of everyone, Ava had arrived with her hair painted a striking pink, a color she hasn't changed since.

Luna's hair on the other hand only seemed to grow darker, and her eyes grew even more striking.

At which point we met the last of the girls, Ivy and Aria.

I met Aria first, a beautiful tanned skinned girl with black hair tied up in a ponytail, the rest of her hair framing her sharp features and a pair of piercing dark gray eyes.

She joined the cheerleading team of the school at the same time I did and we began talking in extracurricular classes.

And turns out she joined because of her boyfriend, a frankly unremarkable man that played for the football team.

She was in love though, so madly in love that she joined a sport that requires you to be energetic, extroverted and bold, while being the complete opposite.

She's shy, easily flustered and nervous, a set of traits that simply didn't match with what she was trying to do.

She didn't care though, she kept trying and trying, smashing her head against a wall for the love of her life.

And finally, after a few weeks of getting to know Aria, me and Ava met Ivy while trying to find some cheap and fun clubbing spots.

She's a black haired girl with an extremely unique hairstyle, styling her hair in two braids on each side of her head that fall on her shoulders and stop close to her huge chest.

These two braids were painted coral red, a color that combined nicely with her shining yellow eyes. The rest of her hair she decided to keep as her natural color, letting it fall on her forehead to frame her incredibly alluring eyes.

Ivy is the quintessential party girl. Extremely extroverted, popular and bold, kind of a bitch when she's drunk.

She's extremely fun, and the best nights of our lives have been when she manages to find some crazy spot for us.

And finally, at the end of middle school and just before the beginning of highschool, someone else came into the picture.

One day Aria came crying to us at the end of school hours. Next to her, grabbing her hand was her man. He was sporting a big black eye, blood still running down his face and his nose.

He looked at anything but us, clearly embarrassed. Seems like Aria dragged him to us forcefully.

I don't like that dude. His name is Nicholas, and he's a piece of shit pervert that cares more about ogling Lucy's massive tits than about Aria.

Of course we try to tell her, but she's too madly in love to come to terms with that reality.

so, the image of his bloodied face brought with it indescribable happiness to my heart.

Forced by his girlfriend, he told us that he and his friend group were trying to bully some guy in his grade out of a couple of bucks.

And it seems like the guy they were bullying was more than he lets on, because he kicked the shit out of him and his friends.

Pretty damn impressive. Mind you, Nicholas himself might not be very noteworthy, but his friends are upperclassmen, which made them taller than most of the guys in our grade.

"We have to do something!" I remember hearing Aria say, knowing damn well not one of us had a high opinion of her boyfriend.

An opinion that only went further down the shit hole after he came to his girlfriend's friends for help after he got his ass kicked.

But it's hard to resist Aria's puppy eyes, especially when they're still watery from her tears.

And so, the first thing next day we looked for him before classes started, and we luckily found him taking his stuff from his locker.

We didn't know his name back then, but you can probably guess who he is.

How did we know it was him? Well simple, Nicholas gave us a rough description of him, and when we saw him he had a bandaid on the bridge of his nose and on his lip.

Leo had been in school for the better part of two years then, but almost no one had taken note of him.

He's a quiet guy that rarely ever talks or makes himself known, and his friend group is pretty small.

The only thing he was known for at the time was receiving an award by the school for being first place in a national exam, so it's fair to say that he's a huge nerd.

He didn't actually look much like a nerd though. Well, he definitely has some of the stereotypical characteristics of one. You know, things like glasses and the boring, uncaring dress code of one.

But beyond that he differed greatly from the stereotype.

For starters he's very tall, 6'3, maybe a little taller actually.

Even back then he was still definitely six feet tall at least, an impressive feat for a then fifteen year old.

He has strong facial features, an angular jawline, a symmetrical face and a pair of striking golden eyes that couple well with his long dirty blonde hair.

He's a diamond, clearly.

But of course, he's not the best kept gem of them all.

It's pretty rough actually.

His long hair is clearly not treated with the respect and care it needs, and though he's lucky enough to not suffer from acne, his skin is still clearly dehydrated and dull.

If I were to see him in the street, I would definitely think he's a beggar with those clothes he's wearing.

I remember when he saw us for the first time.

He was so confused, clearly not understanding the reason six of the most popular girls in the school where In front of him.

"Do y'all need anything?" He asked

Aria was the first one to get close. She grabbed him by his collar and smashed his back against the locker, rage in her eyes as she did her stunt.

"I heard what you did to Nicholas"

It is genuinely fascinating how Aria's personality changes so drastically when her man is involved in anything.

On a normal day, it is almost unthinkable that the shy and nervous Aria would do something like this.

When Aria spoke Leo's face seemed to glow for a moment in realization, before he gritted his teeth.

Long story short, since I can't gather every detail of how the altercation went, Leo pushed every button he possibly could to make every single one of us mad.

A horrible move, because what would have been a hesitant one time bullying instance went on to become a three year attempt to make his life miserable in every conceivable way.

Hey! I'm not one of them, I just like seeing him flustered and nervous, so I tease him and mock him from time to time.

Oh but some of the others? Yeah, they despise the dude.
