Chapter 4 - The Dragon lord

As Renn stepped forward, his eyes locked on Akane's, she felt a sense of excitement and trepidation. What did this powerful Dragon Lord want from her?

Renn's gaze seemed to bore into her soul, as if he could see her very thoughts. Akane felt a shiver run down her spine as he approached her.

"Goddess," Renn said, his voice low and husky. "I have come to claim my place as one of your consorts. I am willing to do whatever it takes to prove my worth to you."

Akane felt a surge of surprise at Renn's words. What did he mean by "prove his worth"?

Arin, the Prince of the Realm, stepped forward, a look of concern on his face. "Renn, I don't think that's necessary," he said. "The Goddess has already chosen her consorts."

Renn's eyes narrowed, his gaze flashing with anger. "I was not given the opportunity to present myself to the Goddess," he said. "I demand the chance to prove my worth."

Kaito, the Bard of the Realm, spoke up, his voice soft and soothing. "Renn, perhaps we can find a way to resolve this peacefully," he said.

But Renn was not to be swayed. He turned to Akane, his eyes burning with intensity. "Goddess, I challenge you to a test of strength and courage," he said. "If I succeed, I demand the right to become one of your consorts."

Akane felt a surge of surprise and trepidation at Renn's words. What kind of test could he possibly have in mind?

But before she could respond, Eryndor, the dark elf assassin, spoke up, his voice low and deadly. "I will not allow this, Renn," he said. "The Goddess is not a prize to be won."

Renn's eyes flashed with anger, and for a moment, Akane thought he would attack Eryndor. But then, he seemed to regain control of himself, and a slow smile spread across his face.

"Very well, Eryndor," he said. "I will not harm the Goddess. But I will not back down either. I will prove my worth to her, no matter what it takes."

And with that, Renn turned and strode out of the hall, leaving Akane to wonder what he had in mind.
