Cosmic Destiny
Chapter 2: The Scholar of Zyphoria
The Planet of Wisdom
In the vastness of the universe, among the countless celestial bodies, there existed a world unlike any other—Zyphoria.
It was a planet bathed in the eternal glow of twin suns, its skies a mesmerizing shade of violet, adorned with floating islands that defied gravity. The lands were covered in towering crystalline structures, their surfaces glowing with an inner luminescence. Rivers of liquid light flowed through the valleys, carrying the essence of pure knowledge.
Zyphoria was known as the Planet of Wisdom. Its inhabitants, the Zyphorans, were among the most intelligent beings in existence, their society built upon the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment.
Unlike other civilizations that sought power through conquest, the Zyphorans believed that true strength lay in understanding the universe.
At the heart of this world stood The Grand Archive, a monolithic structure said to contain the accumulated wisdom of eons. Within its endless halls, scholars, philosophers, and seekers of truth dedicated their lives to uncovering the deepest mysteries of existence.
And among them was one who would change the fate of the universe forever.
His name was Elyon.
The Restless Seeker
Elyon was unlike most Zyphorans. Though brilliant beyond measure, he was restless, unsatisfied.
From a young age, he questioned the limits of knowledge. While others were content with the teachings of the past, he yearned for the truth beyond truth—the answers that no book, no scroll, no ancient wisdom had ever revealed.
He spent countless hours in the Grand Archive, his mind devouring information at an astonishing rate. But no matter how much he learned, it was never enough.
"What existed before the universe?" he once asked his mentor, the esteemed Elder Solen.
The elder, a being of great intellect and patience, had smiled at him. "A question even the greatest minds have failed to answer."
Elyon had not accepted that. "Then what is the purpose of all this knowledge if we never find the truth?"
Solen had sighed. "Knowledge is not about finding all the answers, Elyon. It is about seeking them, even if they remain beyond our reach."
But Elyon was not satisfied with mere seeking. He wanted to know.
And so, he made a decision that would forever alter the course of his destiny.
He would find the truth himself.
The Forbidden Scrolls
Though the Grand Archive held the knowledge of civilizations spanning millennia, there were sections forbidden even to the wisest scholars.
These were the Ancient Scrolls, relics from a time before Zyphoria itself, containing knowledge deemed too dangerous to be understood.
Elyon had always been drawn to them.
One night, when the twin moons of Zyphoria hung high in the sky, he entered the restricted section of the Archive. His heart pounded as he moved past rows of glowing tomes and whispering parchments.
At the very end of the chamber, he found it.
A single scroll, bound in an unknown material, humming with an eerie energy.
He reached out and unrolled it.
The words were written in an ancient, forgotten language, but as he stared at them, something strange happened.
The symbols shifted, rearranged themselves, and suddenly—he understood.
The scroll spoke of a war that predated the universe. A battle between two primordial forces—Good Energy and Bad Energy.
Elyon's eyes widened as he read about the 7 Sins, their corruption, and the destruction that had reshaped all of existence.
Then, at the very end of the scroll, a prophecy was written:
"When the universe once more falls into shadow, seven shall rise, bearing the light of creation. Only they shall stand against the darkness that seeks to consume all."
Elyon's hands trembled. His mind raced.
He knew, in that moment, that he had found what he had always been searching for—the truth.
But before he could fully comprehend its meaning, the Archive began to shake.
The Arrival of Darkness
A deep, unnatural cold filled the chamber. The warm glow of the Archive's crystals flickered, dimming as if something was draining their energy.
Then, a voice echoed through the halls.
A voice that did not belong.
"Curious little scholar... you've found what was not meant to be found."
Elyon turned sharply, his heart hammering.
From the shadows, a figure emerged—a being clad in dark, shifting armor, its eyes burning with an unnatural red glow.
It was not Zyphoran. It was something else. Something wrong.
And Elyon knew, without a doubt, that he was standing before an agent of the 7 Sins.
The figure stepped forward. The ground beneath it cracked and darkened, as if the very world recoiled from its presence.
"You have glimpsed the past," it said, its voice like a thousand whispers layered together. "But you shall not live to see the future."
Elyon barely had time to react before the figure lunged at him.
The First Battle
Elyon leaped back as the entity's hand struck the ground, sending a shockwave that shattered the Archive's floor. Ancient scrolls and books flew into the air, their knowledge scattered like dust.
With no weapon, no training in combat, Elyon was hopelessly outmatched.
But he was not powerless.
Drawing upon the energy of Zyphoria, he focused his mind, summoning a shield of pure thought. The entity struck, but the shield held—if only for a moment.
"You will not take me so easily," Elyon said, his voice steady despite his fear.
The figure laughed. A chilling, hollow sound.
"Oh, little scholar… I am not here to take you."
The figure raised its hand, and suddenly—the scroll began to burn.
Elyon's eyes widened in horror. The knowledge he had risked everything for—it was being erased.
With a desperate cry, he lunged forward, grabbing the scroll even as flames licked at its edges. The moment his fingers touched it, a pulse of golden energy erupted from his body.
The dark entity staggered back. For the first time, it seemed… surprised.
Elyon gasped, looking at his hands.
He had awakened something.
The entity snarled. "This is not over, scholar. Your fate has already been written."
And with that, it vanished.
The Journey Begins
The Grand Archive lay in ruins. The forbidden scroll was damaged, its secrets now incomplete.
But Elyon knew the truth now. He knew that the universe was in danger.
And he knew that he could not remain on Zyphoria.
The prophecy spoke of seven heroes. If he was one of them, he had to find the others.
Taking one final look at his home, Elyon made his choice.
With nothing but his mind, his will, and the fragmented prophecy, he set off into the stars.
Unaware that his journey would decide the fate of the universe itself.
