I woke up to darkness.
Not just any darkness the kind of oppressive, endless void that makes you wonder if you've been buried alive. My body felt weird, too. Small. Squishy. Like I had no bones.
Panic set in.
I tried to move, but my limbs felt restricted. I flailed only to slam my tiny leg into a fleshy wall.
Okay. Okay. Breathe. Where am I?
Then, like an executioner slamming down a verdict, a voice boomed inside my head.
[ SYSTEM ACTIVATED. ]
Oh, no. Not this .
[ Welcome, Host! You have been selected for the Tyrant Rehabilitation System! ]
What.
[ Mission: Reform your tyrant parents before the kingdom collapses in a glorious explosion of rebellion and bloodshed! ]
WHAT.
[ Current location: Womb. ]
Excuse me?!
[ Yes! You are currently developing inside your mother's uterus. ]
I froze. I stared into the void.
Then, very, very slowly, I processed the words: I was a fetus.
I wasn't just dead I had reincarnated.
[ Your current progress: 98% developed! Ready for birth! ]
Oh. Oh no.
I wasn't ready! I was mentally still an adult! My last memory was dying stupidly via candy-related homicide, and now I was about to shoot out of someone's body like a malfunctioning cannonball?
I wanted answers. Who was my mom? Why was I here? And most importantly wait . Did you say tyrant parents? As in, plural?
[ Correct! You have two extremely powerful and dangerously unhinged mothers who rule with absolute authority! ]
I had two moms , and they were tyrants.
Before I could scream into the void, I suddenly felt pressure. The walls around me started squeezing.
Oh. Oh. Oh no.
It was happening.
Chaos. Absolute chaos.
The entire palace medical wing was in shambles. Doctors, nurses, and mages ran around like headless chickens, yelling over each other while explosions shook the castle walls.
"THE EMPRESS IS IN LABOR!"
"THE OTHER EMPRESS JUST MELTED A WALL BECAUSE SHE'S 'STRESSED'!"
"WE NEED TO GET THE BABY OUT BEFORE SHE STARTS SUMMONING VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS!"
"SHE ALREADY DID! LOOK OUTSIDE!"
Outside, lava rained from the sky.
Inside, a doctor clutched his clipboard like it was a lifeline. "Someone calm Her Majesty before she destroys half the kingdom in childbirth!"
A nurse, trembling, whispered, "We can't calm her."
The doctor swallowed. "Then we're all going to die."
And then a scream. It wasn't just a scream. It was a war cry. A battle declaration. A sound so feral, so gut-wrenchingly powerful, that the very walls of the palace vibrated.
From her grand throne-turned-delivery-bed, Empress Verania roared like a beast unleashed.
"I AM GIVING BIRTH TO A WAR GODDESS!" she bellowed, her voice shattering a chandelier.
A nurse ducked for cover. "SHE'S TOO POWERFUL!"
"IF SHE DOESN'T KILL US, THE OTHER EMPRESS WILL!"
And speaking of the other empress standing right beside the chaos, Empress Sylvithra watched with eerie calm. She was a vision of silver and ice, but her presence was deadlier than a hundred battlefields.
She turned her violet gaze to the trembling doctor.
"Deliver my child. Now."
The doctor nearly had a heart attack. "Y-Your Majesty, we're trying, but—"
Verania suddenly grabbed his collar with inhuman strength.
"TRY HARDER!"
I did not sign up for this.
One second, I was floating peacefully in the void. The next, I was forcibly ejected into absolute chaos.
I screamed.
And to my horror so did everyone else.
The second I emerged, a wave of golden energy exploded from my tiny body, blasting through the room like a divine decree.
"THE BABY SHE'S POWERFUL!"
A nurse was thrown against the wall.
A doctor collapsed from sheer pressure.
The entire room shook like an earthquake had hit.
And my two overpowered tyrant mothers?
They looked absolutely thrilled.
Verania, still panting from labor, grinned like a madwoman. "She has the aura of a god."
Sylvithra nodded in satisfaction. "As expected."
A nurse, still barely standing, stammered, "M-My Empresses, your child is…"
Verania snatched me from the doctor's weak grip, cradling me like I was a divine relic. Her crimson eyes glowed with sheer obsession.
"My daughter. My heir. My destruction incarnate."
Sylvithra stroked my tiny head, her cold demeanor breaking into something disturbingly tender.
"She is perfection."
I, meanwhile, was so tired.
[ SYSTEM NOTICE: Congratulations! You have successfully been born! ]
Gee. Thanks.
[ New Mission: Stop your mothers from raising you into an unstoppable tyrant before the kingdom rebels. ]
…Yeah, I was so screwed.
