Chapter 1 - The Celestial Return

Prologue – The Fall of Titan City

The night sky shattered, a cosmic mirror splintering. A guttural hum, ancient and alien, clawed its way across the heavens, vibrating through the very bones of Earth. The air thickened, a suffocating blanket of dread, an unnatural stillness that screamed of impending monstrosity.

Then, it descended.

A colossal rift tore open above Titan City, humanity's gleaming pinnacle of technological hubris. From the swirling vortex of cosmic chaos, a being of unimaginable scale emerged.

It wasn't merely a beast. It was a herald—a nightmare given flesh.

It moved with terrifying grace, a symphony of celestial energy and monstrous biology. Its form, a shifting tapestry of iridescent material, flickered between solid and ethereal, defying earthly physics. Six luminous eyes, cold and ancient, burned like dying stars, their gaze fixed on the city below with a hunger that predated humanity itself. A roar ripped from its maw, a sound that echoed with the screams of forgotten worlds and the clang of long-dead gods.

Titan City's defenses roared to life, its Astra-powered shields shimmering, a fragile bulwark against the encroaching darkness. EDF exosuits whirred, their occupants bracing themselves, Astra-enhanced weaponry charging.

For the first time in a century, Earth trembled on the precipice of annihilation.

The Battlefield – The Arrival of the Supreme Commander

At the epicenter of the chaos stood Supreme Commander Rayan, humanity's last bastion of hope.

His presence was a tangible force, a beacon against the encroaching despair.

His black military coat billowed around him, his broad shoulders and unwavering stance radiating an aura of indomitable strength. He was less man, more myth—a living legend, the first to transcend the Super God Rank, his very existence brushing against the divine.

From atop a crumbling skyscraper, he observed the celestial titan's approach, its shadow engulfing the city. EDF fire rained upon the creature, energy blasts shimmering against its cosmic hide, achieving little more than irritating a slumbering giant.

Rayan exhaled, a plume of vapor in the frigid air. "Is this the best they can muster?"

He moved, the very ground beneath him groaning in protest as he channeled his Astra.

The air around him shimmered, not with fire, but with the raw power of creation itself. His Astra surged, bending the fundamental laws of reality. A blazing insignia, the mark of a celestial tyrant, materialized on his arm, pulsing with the raw energy of a collapsing star.

The beast, sensing a power that rivaled its own, roared a challenge.

Rayan raised a hand, and reality itself warped. "Astra Style: Infernal Chains of the Tyrant God."

From the fissures that spiderwebbed across the ravaged earth, colossal chains of molten Astra erupted, snaking around the creature's limbs, binding it in their fiery embrace. The beast shrieked, its cosmic flesh contorting against the unnatural restraint.

Rayan's fist clenched.

The chains tightened, their searing heat biting into the creature's form. The behemoth plummeted, the impact of its colossal weight shaking the city to its core, shattering every window within a ten-mile radius.

But the beast was not vanquished.

In its death throes, it raised its monstrous head towards the fractured sky and uttered words in a language that predated time itself. "The First Gate… has opened. The Forgotten Kings… shall return."

Then, its form dissolved into cosmic dust, vanishing into the void from whence it came.

Rayan lowered his hand, his expression unreadable, his gaze fixed on the empty sky. This was not a victory. It was a prelude.

Scene Shift – Raj's Perspective

Raj stood transfixed before an ancient television screen in the austere confines of a Gurukul training hall. The broadcast looped, the images of the battle seared into his mind. The fight was over, but within Raj, something had ignited—a burning ember of ambition.

Rayan's power, his effortless command of the battlefield, his sheer presence—it was a level of strength Raj could scarcely comprehend. His fists clenched, the knuckles white. "That… that is the summit I must reach."

Raj was a warrior, his body honed by years of relentless training, his mastery of ancient martial arts a testament to his dedication. But he lacked the one thing that separated mortals from gods: Astra Essence.

Without it, he was merely a man in a world of titans.

He turned to his mentor, an old warrior with eyes that held the wisdom of ages. "I must go." His voice was firm, unwavering. "The Earth Defense Exam is approaching. I have to be there."

The old man studied him, his gaze piercing, before closing his eyes. "You are not ready, Raj."

Raj's jaw tightened. "If I don't seize this opportunity, I will always be trailing behind. Always… powerless."

The elder sighed, his fingers drumming a silent rhythm on the hilt of his ceremonial sword. "Very well. But first… you must prove your worth."

Raj exhaled slowly, a flicker of anticipation in his eyes. "I was waiting for you to say that."

– First Trial Begins

The elder raised a single hand, and in an instant, the training hall transformed. The walls receded, revealing a vast arena teeming with automated Astra combatants, each wielding deadly artificial weaponry.

At the far end, a lone figure stood cloaked in dark robes, his face obscured by a mask. Unlike the others, this warrior radiated power. He possessed Astra Essence.

The elder's voice resonated through the hall. "Defeat him. Only then will I grant you permission to leave."

Raj stepped forward, his shoulders rolling, the weight of expectation pressing down on him like a physical burden. He could feel the heat of the impending battle, the electric charge in the air.

But he welcomed it.

If he couldn't overcome a single Astra user here, then he had no right to even dream of the Earth Defense Exam.

A grim smile touched his lips. "I hope you're ready," he murmured, his gaze locked on his masked opponent. "Because I won't be holding back."
