Proceeding cautiously, Jack saw many skeletons gathered in groups of twos and threes in the dilapidated forest. Those skeletons were different from the Skeleton Soldiers in the Gloomy City. Their walking postures were strange, making hoarse and unpleasant cries. And there were many rotten and sticky pieces of meat hanging on their bodies. The stench was wafting, extremely pungent.
[Rotten Bones] (Common Monster)
Level:???
Health: 80,000
Attack: 250 - 260
Defense:???
Skills: [Bite] [Frenzy]
Introduction: The bones that died in the Ghost Marsh have turned into walking corpses under the influence of the intense resentment. They hate the living and have great hostility towards anything with life
...
The level and defense couldn't be detected, indicating that they were at least level 28 monsters. But Jack could still see most of their other attributes. Presumably, it was because the strength gap between the two sides wasn't large.
"Ugh ugh ugh..."
They discovered the uninvited guest. As if finding a target from the confused wandering, they immediately entered the battle state and launched an attack towards Jack.
Jack had a calm expression. Confirming that there were only five monsters, he lifted the Cold Cloud Sword and rushed forward with large strides. Evil Trample was activated, stomping heavily on the head of the leading Rotten Bone. Then Wild Slash broke out.
-17,586!
-8,175!
-8,866!
-9,675!
-11,233!
...
More than 50,000 damage popped up and the health bar of the Rotten Bone was mostly gone.
At the same time, all those Rotten Bones launched attacks, opening their mouths and biting towards Jack.
-214!
-122!
-178!
Unfortunately, Jack's defense limit was now as high as 252. The Rotten Bones couldn't pose much threat.
Quickly dealing with several Rotten Bones, Jack obtained as much as 6,000 experience and three silver coins.
"Although their strength isn't high, the experience they provide is still quite good." Jack glanced at the slightly increased experience bar and was quite satisfied.
Now, the experience he needed to level up was 280,000. That meant killing less than 300 Rotten Bones could level him up. And with his current attack of over 1,000 to kill monsters, it was likely that he could level up in less than two hours.
After leaving the novice village, the difficulty of leveling up often increased day by day. But under the exaggerated increase of Domineering, the time he needed to level up was shorter than in the novice village!
Then, Jack continued to go deeper into the Ghost Marsh while dealing with the Rotten Bones he encountered on the way.
Until half an hour passed...
"Swish!"
Golden light flew up. Level 23!
The original quest had already rewarded 200,000 experience and the experience bar was more than half full. Therefore, this level-up was particularly fast.
"Where exactly is that Undead Swordsman?" Jack looked around and frowned slightly.
The Ghost Marsh was surrounded by mist. It was difficult to distinguish the direction. Even though he had been marking along the way, the map was too large. It was still very difficult to find the Undead Swordsman.
"Wait!"
Suddenly, Jack reacted. He re-scanned the quest panel and woke up like a dream: "It was my mistake. The quest has given a hint. The Undead Swordsman has self-awareness."
Thinking of this, he took a deep breath and shouted: "Undead Swordsman, I was sent by Daniel to find you!"
"Find me?"
Suddenly, a voice sounded behind Jack.
"!!"
Jack's heart jumped and he quickly turned around. Not far away, a pale and thin man was sitting quietly on a stone. He was wearing a gray robe and playing with a sharp sword in his hand, not raising his head.
When was he there?
