Kasela had woke up quite early this morning in preparation for her first day in class. She was dressed in a white tee shirt, a jean trouser and a white sneakers, she braided her long hair into a single braid and wrapped in into a bun, she packed her books into a bag. She locked the door and knocked on Brenda's door which was next to hers. After knocking for sometime Brenda opened the door and emerged wearing a cropped top and black trouser with black sneakers, she did a little make-up and let down her blonde hair. She locked the door and apologized to Kasela
"I'm sorry, I kept you waiting".
"No it's okay" Kasela replied.
Brenda looked her over and complimented her " Kasela, you look beautiful" she said and Kasela blushed a little
"You also look beautiful" Kasela said a little shy as she wasn't used to praises.
Brenda chuckled and they continued down the stairs to their class. Some students stared at them as they passed by. Kasela who was conscious of the stares kept her head down while Brenda put on an air of nobility as she flipped her hair and flashed a smile to some of the guys whom she caught staring at them.
They entered the class and sat down three rows away from the front seats. Some minutes later the class was filled up and a girl stepped in. She wore a heavy make-up and had an air of arrogance. She had dark hair and dark eyes, she wore a short expensive looking gown which revealed her long slender legs. She snickered and choose a seat at the front. Kasela noticed that some students who sat close to her tried striking up a conversation with her but she ignored them and fiddled with her phone. Brenda snickered and looked away with a look of disgust on her face.
"Who's she?" Kasela asked
" Oh, she's the Rector's daughter, I think her name is Patricia" Brenda replied
"She's actually a rich, spoiled and arrogant bitch, I know her from my high school" Brenda added and Kasela nodded her head.
Few minutes later the Rector entered the class and everywhere became quiet as he began addressing all the students.
"Welcome everyone to the great golden star university, I hope you all will do well with your studies and pass out with flying colors. There are many deans lining up outside to introduce themselves to you" The Rector informed them and the door opened to reveal a bunch of deans who entered and introduced themselves one after the other.
The first lesson of the day started, Kasela listened attentiveiand took down some notes. Time passed slowly and it was time for lunch. As the last lecturer left the class both Kasela and Brenda packed their books into their bags and left for the cafe. Some students were already seated and the cafe was almost filled up. Kasela and Brenda choosed a seat and sat down as Brenda went to bring their snacks and drinks. Few minutes into their lunch, the noisy cafeteria suddenly became quiet such that even a pin drop could be heard. Kasela who noticed this turned her eyes to the entrance and frowned.
