These days seemed to drag now. The anticipation of what that bastard angel, Michael, was doing, was starting to give me anxiety as well. But looking over to my left, eased me.
Mary laid asleep, balled up next to me, on the couch. The living room television, watching her at this point.
It was early in the afternoon by this time, so she had only been asleep an hour. I guess I could go to sleep now.
Reaching for the remote, I turned the tv off. The weirdest thing happened next. The tv…cut itself back on. Though it didn't just cut back on, the television began flickering through channels.
The tv stopped at a news channel, the volume being raised high enough to wake Mary. I made every attempt to turn the television off, though the remote didn't seem to work anymore.
Mercury teleported into the living room, this time, with Eric beside him. Eric seemed to be shocked as to arriving in the living room, out of thin air. Mercury placed all of our focus on the television screen.
The news showed carnage, mauling of people, and their remains. Some in their own homes, some in apartment complexes. There was even a mauling at a diner. What the fuck was going on?
Using what appeared to be telepathy, Mercury waved his hand at the tv, muting the volume instantly. He spoke to us instead.
Mercury told us that reports like this, was happening all over the city. He believed Michael was finally, showing his hand. And even though Eric seemed highly irritated, Mercury told us both…that it was time. I knew what he meant by this.

Two weeks ago, Mercury called myself and Eric together. We were in some sort of basement, of an abandon house. Mercury drew two blades, long daggers that almost appeared as short swords. Marking and symbols seemed to be engraved throughout both blades. Mercury told us this was enchantment magic, placed upon these daggers.
Mercury reached out to both Eric and myself, before with both daggers in hand. Eric and I looked at each other, hesitant to grab the magical blades. Mercury assured us that things would be ok, though we would need these blades, for whatever was to come. He stated that these blades together, would be strong enough to even fatally wound…Michael.
After Michael's last attack, we knew we needed this. He overpowered us with ease, though Mercury told us, that these blades, could give us the advantage.
We approached Mercury, me stepping forward first. Eric followed, hesitation still in our steps. Nearly around the same time, we reached for these blades. And instantly…the power was felt.

Eric grabbed Mercury by his shirt, aggression in his movement. He tugged on the angel, bringing him in close. Mercury didn't seem bothered at all by this.
Eric nearly growled at Mercury, telling him that he didn't want to leave Anna's side. Mercury told him he understood this, but staying with her, wasn't going to wake her. Mercury said the only right thing to do, was to get redemption. Eric slowly released Mercury, after hearing these words.
I took my place beside Mercury, staring at Mary before anything else happened. She looked worried, unsure as to what would happen, upon my departure. I told her that I would be back. I told her this, hoping she would worry less.
Gripping the hilt of my enchantment blade, a brief glow responded to my touch. I smirked, still looking at Mary. A tear rolled down her eye, though she managed to smile.
Mercury touched our shoulders, and just like that…
Fighting against a gust of wind, upon our arrival, Mercury teleported Eric and I, to a ran down high school. Hopefully the outside of the building, was worse than the inside.
Mercury, without saying anything, teleported away. A glance over my shoulder, and he was gone. Sigh. We knew what to do though.

Walking through the hallway of the first floor, this school having three floors, Eric was silent with me. I hadn't seen him since the attack, so the tension was definitely justified. Though there was a reason for this, I wasn't about to let my brother make Mary a target, for all of this. The true villain was that asshole angel. Or Archangel. Whatever the fuck he was.
Eric broke the silence, stopping in place as I moved only a few extra steps, before realizing he was no longer moving. He spoke up behind me, getting me to turn into his direction.
The million dollar question came out, with Eric asking me if everything that was happening, was truly Mary's fault. Everything meaning, Anna's unknown slumber. I diverted the question at first, asking him what did this question, have to do with the task at hand.
I reminded him that there was some sort of threat looming around, and that we should be on guard. Eric fired back that this was all Mercury's mess to clean up, seeing as Michael was his brother. He added on that he doubted that Michael, the one he wanted revenge on, was even here, believing all of this to be a waste of time.
I refused to answer his question, only matching his stare down that he challenged me with. The stare down didn't last for long, with Eric leading a new conversation this time, him now telling me that if all of this was Mary's fault, then I had better hope Anna woke soon. What the fuck was that supposed to mean?
I could feel the response in my face, I didn't have to say a word. Even so, Eric didn't budge. Being the stubborn person he was, Eric held his ground, and stood on his words.
The sound of glass shattered in the distance, getting the attention of both of us. Something was down the hallway.
Both Eric and I drew our Enchantment Blades, staring in the direction we heard the noise from. Something indeed, was coming.
