Earth, Biotech Industry HQ, 2089
It is 22:45 on a Wednesday, a time in which many people are normally asleep.
Well Lyra is not a normal person.
She is one of the best Doctor's and Engineer's that deal with Cyberware and right now she is designing a new prototype
of a Cyberdeck for Intelligence warfare.
Sweat drips from her forehead onto her lap.
Her conciseness focused onto the virtual world were a model of telhe cyberdeck was along with numerous strings of code and programmes.
Her concentration was only interrupted when a knock was heard on the window behinde her.
Turning around to see what interrupted her concentration she froze.
At the window we're multiple armed men pointing there weapons on her.
They all had the logo of a rival company that she knew to well for her liking.
After all she rejected the marriage proposal of the heire of the company and now he sended assassin's after her.
She quickly stood up and ran for the door hoping that the bullet proof glass would protect her long enough so that she could escape.
But Lyrad hopes were shattered when someone managed to pass the security of her Cyberware and discharged them.
Causing Lyra to be electrocuted.
Twitching on the ground Lyra couldn't move and saw how the group of Assassins managed to break through the windows.
They surrounded her, weapons pointed at her, their faces unrecognisable behind black masks.
The supposed leader stepped forth and even with a mask on she could see his grin.
"Looks like we got our target, let's do this quick before the security system realises that it is under attack."
He spoke to his men, while pulling out a pistol.
Lyra could see the inside of the barrel and feel death looking into her eyes.
"Our contractor sends his regards, I am sure you know who i mean so I won't say his name, any last words?"
The leader of the assassin's asked.
Lyra was silent for a second her life flashing before her eyes.
All the bad things like her early live as an orphane, barely managing to come by,
All her hard ships she underwent for 23 years to reach her current job.
The sacrifices she made for it.
All to be sniffed out
And why?
Because she rejected some egocentric a**hole that has never done anything himself and leches of his parents.
She gritted her theat anger flaring in her eyes. Holding her head up she locked into the eyes of the Assassin leader managing to pull one of her hands up forming a middle finger.
"F*** you"
We're here last words before.
Ratatatatatata...
Multiple rifles unloaded ther Magazins into her silencing her. Smoke coming out of the barrels.
Darkness took hold of Lyra pulling her into the abyss of death.
The last thought she had was regret.
If I had another chance in live then I would never die so patheticly...
..and like that the darkness engulfed her.
