Down the rabbit hole I fell,
Into a world I couldn't tell.
The sky was green, the grass was blue,
And nothing, nothing, nothing's true.
The Cheshire Cat, it grinned and grinned,
Its voice a whisper, sharp and thinned.
"You're not yourself," it said to me,
"But who are you? And who is she?"
I told the Hatter, "Time is kind,"
But Time just laughed and left me blind.
The tea was cold, the cakes were dry,
And all the clocks began to cry.
The Queen of Hearts, she screamed and roared,
"Off with her head!" the crowd implored.
But heads are tricky things to lose,
When every path you take, you choose.
I met a Caterpillar wise,
Who smoked his pipe and closed his eyes.
"Who are you?" he asked, so slow,
But I had lost my answer long ago.
The flowers sang, the trees did dance,
The world was caught in a waking trance.
But I just cried, and cried, and cried,
For all the things I'd left behind.
Oh, Mother, Father, where are you?
The world I knew, is it still true?
Or am I lost, forevermore,
In this mad, mad, maddened shore?
The rabbit hole, it calls to me,
A twisted path, a twisted sea.
But if I climb, if I ascend,
Will I find home, or just the end?
Down the rabbit hole I fell,
Into a world I couldn't tell.
The sky was green, the grass was blue,
And nothing, nothing, nothing's true.
