Chereads / The Star Who Fell into My Dreams / Chapter 15 - The Dawn of Reality

Chapter 15 - The Dawn of Reality

Time passed, and Lilith woke up in bed with her head resting on her chest.

Dani looked down, his voice soft. "Are you okay now?"

Lilith's voice was barely a whisper. "Did your heart hurt when I cried?"

Dani smiled faintly. "More than the rock you pushed on me."

Lilith started to speak. "I'm sor—"

Dani didn't let her finish. He kissed her gently, his voice warm. "If you ever want to say sorry, just kiss me. Then I'll know you mean it."

Lilith kissed him back, her emotions pouring into the moment.

After a while, they found themselves in a scene where Lilith's father was ordering her to bring the lamb. He tried to catch it, but present-day Lilith stepped in, grabbing her father's hand.

Lilith's voice was firm. "No, Father. Your way is wrong."

Her father snarled, "Get out of my way, you brat!" He threw her aside and tried to catch the lamb again.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of a horn. A car was speeding toward them. It was Magi, driving at full speed. She shouted, "Die, you son of a bitch!" as she hit Lilith's father.

Magi opened the car door, her voice urgent. "Get in, you two!"

Lilith hesitated, her voice filled with regret. "Magi, I know you. I'm sorry."

Magi smiled faintly. "Lilith, we're together now. Let's be good."

Lilith's eyes softened. "Friends?"

Magi nodded. "Maybe best friends"

They both smiled, looking at each other.

Steve turned to Dani, a small smile on his face. "You two are together now."

Dani looked at Steve, his voice soft but sincere. "I'm sorry about the past life."

Lilith's eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry too. I know sorry doesn't fix anything. You must hate me."

Steve shook his head, his tone gentle. "I don't hate you. Even when I was your slave, I knew you had a kind heart. I won't hold anything against you."

Magi smiled faintly. "How about we forget the past?"

Dani's eyes widened as he noticed figures approaching. "Who the hell are those guys following us?"

Magi and Lilith exchanged a knowing glance, their smiles bittersweet. "Celestial guards," they said in unison.

Steve frowned, clutching his head. "Magi? Is she the Magi you're talking about?"

Dani sighed. "You won't remember her."

Lilith added, her voice tinged with concern, "There's an error in his bridge and the flow of information."

Steve groaned, his voice strained. "It hurts when I think about Magi. Who is she?"

Lilith glanced outside, her expression hardening. "Slow down. I have something to do."

Magi's eyes narrowed as she spotted a black tiger sneaking behind Lilith. "I see it."

Dani and Lilith jumped out of the car, running toward the tiger. It was black, its eyes glowing with malice.

Dani's voice was tense. "This tiger is made of negative emotions. I can sense it."

Lilith nodded. "I'm a dream breaker. I'm full of negative emotions."

Dani shook his head. "No, I don't think so."

Lilith's voice was firm. "We have to kill it."

Dani's eyes softened. "Our last hunt. This time, I'll protect you."

They fought the tiger together, their movements synchronized. In the end, Dani gifted the tiger's heart to Lilith, a symbol of their bond.

Magi's eyes filled with tears as she thought about Steve not remembering her. Her tears reflected the blue glow of the moon, shimmering like stars.

They passed through scenes from their past lives, but even after seeing her descent from the past, Steve couldn't remember Magi.

The car flew into the sky, soaring close to the moon. The celestial guards were left behind, unable to follow.

A massive orange meteor hurtled toward the city, its light blinding.

Lilith's voice was urgent. "It's him. I can sense him. Zyron."

Dani frowned. "Who is he?"

Lilith explained quickly. "The one who sent me here. He gave me the star-killing weapon. That fireball approaching us is the weapon. If I or Magi touch it, we're done."

Dani's voice was desperate. "How can we stop it?"

Suddenly, Steve's mother appeared, her voice strong. "It's a loose dream for me."

Dani's eyes widened. "Auntie!"

Steve's mother used her willpower to manipulate the dream, creating blue flames to block the weapon. The weapon slowed down, but she strained under the pressure.

Steve shouted, his voice filled with panic. "Mom, why are you here?"

Magi saw a hologram of their past—the princess and the slave boy kissing as she gave him her heart. He began to glow crimson.

Magi kissed Steve in midair, floating between the crimson weapon and the blue flames. They looked just like in the past. Slowly, Steve began to remember everything.

Steve's mother cried out, her voice breaking. "I can't hold it any longer!"

Lilith tried to help with her remaining power, but the crimson fire consumed Steve and Magi.

Steve's mother's heart stopped for a few seconds. "Steve…"

Lilith's voice was filled with despair. "Even if that weapon touches someone, it can kill them."

Eldon's voice cut through the chaos. "No… they're going to overcome it."

Lilith and Dani turned to him, confused. "Who are you?"

Eldon smiled faintly. "His father, I guess, in the next life."

A blue and crimson light glowed within the massive ball of fire. It grew stronger and brighter, destroying the weapon and sending a shockwave that shook the entire world.

Steve and Vega (Magi) glowed like stars, their light overwhelming the weapon's power. The pressure was immense.

Lilith collapsed, her body unable to withstand the pure positivity of their light. Dani held her tightly, his voice desperate. "No, no! Don't leave me."

The lamb, Fray, approached Lilith, nudging her hand and tugging at her clothes, as if urging her to play.

The light grew brighter and brighter, waking them all up.

Eldon's voice echoed softly. "Goodbye, everyone."

In the Real World

A golden light appeared above Steve, and the light took the form of a girl. It was the girl who had fallen in his dream. Her face was close to his, just as it had been when she kissed him midair. She gently fell on top of him.

Steve's mother woke up, her eyes lingering on Eldon's picture by her bed. She smiled softly, her heart filled with warmth. She rushed to Steve's room, her voice filled with hope. "You remember her, right?"

Steve nodded, his voice soft but certain. "Yes, she's my wife. I don't remember every incident from the dream, but I know we were married. It's all a bit fuzzy."

Magi smiled, her eyes glistening with tears. "It's fuzzy for me too, but I know this feeling. I know you. I just miss the details."

Steve reached out, taking her hand. "We can go through it all again and enjoy it like it's the first time—and make it even better."

Magi chuckled, her voice warm. "I've heard this from you before."

Steve grinned. "Yeah, it's all coming back to me, bit by bit."

His mother smiled, her heart swelling with joy. "I'm so happy for you."

Dani searched his entire house for Lilith but couldn't find her. Frustrated, he stepped outside, where he saw the lamb, Fray, looking at him.

Dani's eyes welled up, his voice trembling. "Hey, Fray… do you know where Lilith is?"

Fray tugged at his clothes, pulling him toward the park. There, Lilith stood next to a sandcastle, her expression soft and hopeful.

Lilith smiled shyly. "I'm looking for my king. Can you be my king?"

Dani's heart swelled with emotion. He ran to her, pulling her into a tight embrace. They kissed under the moonlight, the stars above twinkling with joy. The sky itself seemed to weep with happiness, the clouds raining down gentle tears of celebration.

Dani and Lilith stood in the rain, their lips locked in a tender kiss. Nearby, Steve and Magi held hands, their wedding rings glinting in the soft light. The sun peeked through the clouds, barely visible, and the moon smiled back, her light gentle and warm.

In the Andromeda Galaxy

At the center of the Andromeda Galaxy, the emperor turned to his son, Zyron. "What are you doing, son?"

Zyron smiled faintly. "Helping out some old friends."

The emperor raised an eyebrow. "It's their luck. If they hadn't blasted that positive beam of light, they all would have died."

Zyron nodded, his voice calm. "I had a feeling they'd figure it out."

The emperor sighed. "Then come. Your wife will get angry."

Zyron chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh, I forgot about her. I'm coming."

[The star-killing weapon has the power to bring back life and turn fantasy into reality. However, it comes with many conditions. The weapon was filled with negativity, so one must overpower it with positivity. Lilith was not destroyed because she had positivity within her too. Zyron married a girl he loved and now has a baby. His intention was to make things right after what he destroyed in his past life. Most of this was his plan, and the Moon had a hand in it too.]

The Moon watched from above, her light soft and serene. The little stars gathered around her, their tiny lights flickering with curiosity.

Little stars: "So, you knew about it all along?"

The Moon smiled gently. "Not just me. Zyron too. He's the one who planned all this. He regretted what he had done and tried to repair what he had broken."

Little stars: "Then, is this the end?"

The Moon's voice was warm and reassuring. "Every end is a new beginning. Like them, they're starting their new life."
