Chapter 15 - Secrets !!

The night thickened like ink, swallowing the last remnants of daylight. Shadows stretched across the land, creeping like living entities, whispering secrets of forgotten ages. The air was heavy, charged with an unseen force that made the very ground tremble beneath its weight. Beneath the ancient oak tree, David remained seated, his crimson eyes reflecting the flickering embers of the world around him.

A portal shimmered open behind him, an ethereal glow casting a haunting contrast against the darkness. From its depths emerged a figure draped in elegance and power—the Elf Queen. Her silver hair cascaded like liquid moonlight, her emerald eyes unreadable as she stepped forth, her presence commanding yet uncertain.

David smirked without turning. "I've been expecting you, Elf Queen."

She halted, her gaze narrowing. "And why, pray tell, would you expect me?"

"From the moment our paths crossed, you've been watching me," David said, his voice a blend of amusement and calculation. "Observing, waiting, as though you needed something from me. I was simply curious when you would reveal your purpose."

Without hesitation, the Elf Queen knelt, bowing her head like a knight before a sovereign. "I have been expecting you... Master."

David's expression faltered, his amusement giving way to confusion. "Master?"

Before an answer could be given, the very air around them crackled with power. The shadows twisted, coiling like serpents, and from the void emerged a being of overwhelming presence. His form was barely human, his entire body engulfed in a swirling mass of purple aura that bled into the night like a living storm.

A deep, resonant voice echoed through the space. "Well, well, well… My, my, my… Who do we have here? It's been a long time, Jennie."

David's eyes snapped toward the Elf Queen, realization dawning. "Jennie? Who is she?"

The entity—God Eternal—chuckled, his voice reverberating with untold power. "She was a fragment I left in this world. A remnant of my will… a piece of something greater. And now, she kneels before you, my successor."

David's expression darkened. "Successor?" His voice was a whisper, edged with skepticism and intrigue. "And what exactly am I succeeding?"

Jennie, the Elf Queen, lifted her gaze, her emerald eyes gleaming with devotion. "You are the one chosen to reshape this world, Master."

God Eternal let out a low chuckle, his voice dripping with amusement. "Indeed. Whether you choose to bring salvation or drown this world in chaos, that remains unknown. But one thing is certain, David… you will change everything."

David remained silent, absorbing their words. Beneath him, the ground pulsed with unseen energy, as though the world itself was shifting under his mere presence.

Jennie's gaze lingered on him. "I can see it. The weight of thousands of souls clinging to your shadow, dragging you into the abyss. Your destiny is unlike any before."

God Eternal's laughter echoed once more. "And yet, the gods above remain blind to what is coming. The death of the God of Thunder went unnoticed."

Jennie's eyes widened slightly. "How?"

David smirked, his voice calm but filled with dark amusement. "I erased her presence completely. Not even the divine will sense what I have done."

A glimmer of satisfaction crossed Jennie's face. "A brilliant start. But there is still a long road ahead."

David stretched, standing up. "You two can talk all you want. I have things to do."

He turned on his heel and began walking away, his silhouette merging with the darkness. Jennie watched him go, her expression unreadable, before turning back to God Eternal.

"Are you certain about giving him your power?" she asked.

God Eternal sighed. "He may not be the ideal choice, but there is a reason for his transformation. We must trust in the chaos he will bring."

Jennie nodded. "Then I shall follow him… no matter what."

A Red Sky. A Black Castle.

Beyond the realm where David stood, in a place where darkness reigned supreme, a colossal castle of obsidian and iron loomed under a sky drenched in blood-red hues. Its towers scraped the heavens, its walls pulsed with ancient, unholy energy. A place where nightmares took form, where the dead whispered in restless agony.

A lone figure walked through its corridors, her red hair cascading like wildfire down her back. She was masked, her face hidden from the world, but her presence radiated an aura of dread. The massive doors before her creaked open as she stepped into the grand throne room.

Upon the towering throne, a man sat shrouded in darkness. His mask concealed his face, but his piercing red eyes burned like molten embers through the void. His very presence seemed to warp the air around him, bending reality itself.

The masked woman knelt before him. "Master, I have found them."

The man on the throne leaned forward slightly, his voice smooth yet laced with an ominous undertone. "Oh?"

"The God of Thunder is dead."

A low chuckle, dark and spine-chilling, rumbled from the throne. "Things are unfolding exactly as we intended."

He lifted a gloved hand, tapping a single finger against the armrest of his throne. The air grew colder, the shadows deepened, as if the entire castle itself had come alive, feeding off his malevolence.

The masked woman hesitated before speaking. "Shall we proceed?"

The man's red eyes gleamed dangerously. "Not yet… Soon. Very soon, we shall meet… David."

A pulse of energy erupted through the castle, sending a chilling gust through the hallways. The very fabric of existence seemed to shudder, as though the world itself feared the moment that was coming.

The man on the throne exhaled, a satisfied smirk curling beneath his mask. "Let the game begin."

Back in David's domain, the Elf Queen stood by the flickering flames of the great hall. "I will take my leave now, Master."

God Eternal nodded. "Take care."

David watched her with an amused glint in his eye. "So many secrets you continue to hide from me."

God Eternal only smiled, his expression unreadable. "The more you see, the more you learn, my child."

David exhaled slowly, his gaze trailing after Jennie as she stepped through a portal and vanished into the void. A dark grin stretched across his face as his thoughts wandered. "Still… that Elf Queen was beautiful as fuck. I wouldn't mind knowing more about her."

A flicker of something else gleamed in his eyes—lust, intrigue, the hunger for power, for control. He licked his lips, his mind already weaving possibilities.

"I suppose… I have my own secrets too."

And with that, the night swallowed his words, leaving only the lingering echoes of fate weaving itself into place.
