Chapter 1 - The beginning

The city of Frankfurt was in chaos. Sirens echoed through the streets, buildings trembled, and people ran in terror. At the center of the destruction, a monstrous creature advanced with heavy steps. It wasn't just an enemy… it was a war aberration.

Standing over eight meters tall, its very presence made the ground tremble. Its body was an amalgamation of dense shadows and dark energy, constantly shifting. Every time one of the heroes attacked, it regenerated as if nothing had happened.

In front of it, Felix, "The Titanic Soul," struggled to breathe. He had absorbed hundreds of blows, his muscular body vibrating with the retained energy. However, no matter how much power he stored, his strikes barely made the enemy stagger.

—This… isn't going to work —he growled, watching as the creature didn't even seem to feel real damage.

The rest of the heroes were already out of commission. Some injured, others unconscious from the intensity of the battle. Desperation grew among the civilians watching from a distance.

But then, the sound of footsteps echoed on the ruined ground. Firm. Unwavering.

—Rest, Felix. I'll handle this.

The very air seemed to lighten as Siegfried, "The Undefeated," entered the scene.

His mere presence brought relief. He wore no armor because his own skin was impenetrable, gleaming like steel under the dark flames of the ruined city.

The dark beast turned its formless face toward the newcomer. It had no eyes, but its lethal presence intensified. The creature knew this opponent was different.

With a deafening roar, it extended its shadowy limbs and unleashed a barrage of dark projectiles. Each of those attacks had leveled buildings and taken down other heroes in an instant.

But Siegfried didn't move.

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

Explosions engulfed his body, raising a cloud of dust and debris. The civilians held their breath. Had he fallen?

When the smoke cleared…

Siegfried was still standing. Without a single scratch.

The projectiles had done absolutely nothing to him. He was an impenetrable wall.

Felix let out a breathless chuckle.

—Always stealing the spotlight…

Siegfried rolled his neck, as if warming up before training.

—This won't take long —he said with a confident smile—. I have a meeting soon.

The beast roared in fury and lunged at him with all its strength. Its speed was superhuman, a shadow gliding across the ground like a black lightning bolt.

But before it could reach him…

Siegfried disappeared.

Felix's eyes widened in shock.

—He's even faster…!

In an instant, the hero had closed the distance with a single step, appearing right in front of the creature before it could react.

And then… he struck.

The impact was devastating.

The ground cracked for several city blocks, shockwaves spread through the streets, and the beast was launched into the air as if it weighed nothing. Its dark form twisted, fragments of black energy breaking off its body, and for the first time… it didn't regenerate instantly.

—That wasn't even a challenge for him. —one of the injured heroes exclaimed in awe.

Felix smiled.

—Of course... He's Siegfried.

The beast, weakened, struggled to recover. Its energy fluctuated erratically. It had never suffered a blow like that before.

Siegfried flexed his wrist, preparing for the second attack.

—It's over.

In the blink of an eye, he vanished and reappeared right above the creature. His fist came down with the force of a meteor.

BOOM!

The final blow struck the beast dead center, causing its shadowy body to shatter into thousands of fragments. Dark energy scattered in all directions, as if the monster's very existence was being erased from reality.

Within seconds… nothing remained.

A deathly silence fell over the city.

Then, as if someone had ignited a spark, cheers erupted.

—Siegfried! Siegfried! Siegfried!

The hero simply acknowledged them with a smile.

The injured heroes rejoiced, the civilians cheered, and Felix, still sitting on the ground, looked at his friend with a serious expression.

—Siegfried… what the hell are you?

—Just a hero. Like you, Felix.

Felix felt a chill run down his spine. It wasn't just his strength. It was the way he had struck the creature, the speed he had shown…

Everyone knew Siegfried's power. But no one knew why he was so strong.

And Siegfried… would never tell them.

For now, all that mattered was this:

The Undefeated had won once again.

And as long as he was there, Germany would never fall.

---

The world had changed after the battle in Frankfurt. Footage of Siegfried defeating the dark aberration spread across the country. He hadn't just saved the city—he had proven that as long as he was there, Germany would never fall.

For many, he was a symbol of hope. For others, proof of how untouchable his power was.

But for one young hero in particular, that event meant everything.

Daren watched the footage over and over. Every strike, every movement Siegfried made, the way he faced danger without hesitation… that was the hero he wanted to be.

—Daren, it's time —called Sira, his teammate.

They were in a training facility, preparing for their first real mission. Defeating an enemy that had terrorized a nearby city. Nothing compared to what Siegfried had faced, but it was their first step as heroes.

The young man stood up, determination burning in his eyes.

—This mission will be easy —he said with a confident smile.

He wasn't Siegfried. Not yet. But one day… he would be a hero worthy of fighting alongside him.

---

The group of young heroes advanced with firm steps toward their mission. Though they were beginners, they trusted their abilities.

Daren, the leader, marched at the front.

—This guy won't be a problem. We'll take him down in a couple of hours. —he said with a confident grin.

The others nodded, assured. They had trained together and knew each other's strengths and weaknesses well. Alongside him were:

Sira, the healer, who glanced at him, worried. Her power was still unstable.

Joarin, who could manipulate the terrain, walked nearby, also confident in his abilities.

Varek, the youngest, with the ability to turn invisible—though he still had trouble controlling it.

The group moved steadily through the dense forest, the sun nearly set. Rumors said their enemy possessed incredible strength. But, trusting in their training and skills, the young heroes had no doubts about their success.

—Quiet —Daren whispered, signaling. We don't want to be detected.

Then, a noise broke the silence.

—There! —Daren pointed, and the group entered a clearing. Their enemy was waiting.

A towering figure, clad in armor that looked like rock and flesh, its eyes glowing yellow. The creature roared, shaking the ground.

—This is our moment —Daren said, drawing his sword. Stay together. We'll take it down!

The battle began.

They fought bravely. But the moment they thought they had won…

The air changed.

The heat became suffocating. The oxygen thinned.

And then—

The sound of burning flesh.

The world blurred.

Daren's body was consumed by flames.

And before they could understand what had happened…

His head rolled to the ground.

The group froze in terror.

From the shadows, he emerged.

His eyes, burning like fire, reflected the flames consuming Daren's body. He watched them in silence, a mocking smile curving his lips. His red hair floated slightly with the heat around him.

Fear paralyzed them.

The figure took a slow, deliberate step forward.

—Hello. —he greeted casually.

Then, with a slow but steady pace, he advanced toward them.
