Chapter 1 - Does Naruto have a sister?

A Tragic Day

After the end of the Third Great Ninja War, the seemingly peaceful Hidden Leaf Village suffered an unexpected attack. A colossal nine-tailed fox completely devastated the city, claiming the lives of countless ninjas and even civilians. Flames soared through the air, an immense surge of chakra could be felt, and cries of fear and despair echoed constantly.

Fortunately, the village had A-rank, S-rank, and Kage-level ninjas who stood ready to defend it. Among these heroes, two stood out: the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and the Jinchuuriki and master of Fuuinjutsu, Uzumaki Kushina. They sacrificed their lives, giving their all to protect the village.

However, their sacrifice left behind two small infants—one blonde-haired boy and one red-haired girl. Both were adorable and undeniably beautiful. But one detail stood out.

Hidden on their stomachs was a complex sealing array, at the center of which lay the A-rank Eight Trigrams Seal. Each child bore half of the chakra of a sealed beast within them. Yet, the most shocking revelation concerned the girl.

Unknown to anyone, not even the Fourth Hokage himself, the baby girl had initially been stillborn. However, at the moment the Shinigami appeared, a foreign soul seemed to escape and enter the body of the tiny child.

Regardless of this mysterious occurrence, on that fateful day, Naruto Uzumaki and Akane Uzumaki became orphans, and the Hidden Leaf Village suffered a devastating blow.

Five Years Later

In a training field, a young girl could be seen moving swiftly. At one point, she performed a series of hand seals—albeit slowly—before vanishing and reappearing several meters away while launching wooden shuriken and kunai. Her body moved with grace and speed, like lotus petals dancing in the wind.

She continued her training for hours until a small blonde-haired boy appeared.

"Sister~~, let's eat something!"

The young boy's affectionate voice immediately made the girl halt her movements.

"Alright, Naruto. How about some ramen at Ichiraku? By the way, you need to train a bit afterward. Becoming Hokage requires a lot of effort, study, and dedication."

The girl's words ignited a fire in the boy's eyes.

"I know! Don't worry, Sis! I'll be the greatest Hokage ever, dattebayo!!!"

The young girl brushed a strand of her beautiful red hair aside and smiled.

"I believe in you, and I'll be your right-hand. Dattebane."

As she spoke, she gently ruffled her little brother's hair, and the two of them went off to eat.

MC POV

Late at night, I sat in silent meditation before letting out a soft sigh and deciding to drink some tea to relax. Beside me, I saw my little brother and smiled gently.

Watching him and the water on the ground ripple subtly, I recalled everything that had happened over the past five years—as well as my other identity.

In my past life, I was a 22-year-old Japanese woman—an orphan who had climbed out of poverty to become a mercenary trained in an ancient, lost martial art. I had also built a successful business empire. Despite my demanding work and training, I found joy in watching anime and reading manga during my rare moments of free time. Unfortunately, my life was cut short when I was ambushed by a group of martial warriors. I accepted my fate… only to inexplicably reincarnate into the world of Naruto—in a rather unusual version of it.

By luck or misfortune, depending on how you see it, I was born after the Third Ninja War—as Naruto's twin sister.

Realizing that I was in the body of one of my favorite characters brought me immense joy. Both Naruto and Kushina had been among my favorites when I used to watch the series. I admired Naruto's cheerful and determined nature despite all the hardships and loneliness he endured. As for Kushina… well, let's just say we shared some personality traits—especially our explosive tempers. Though, I was a bit more composed and strategic.

Once I came to terms with my reincarnation, I made some decisions. First, I discarded the need to follow the original storyline. After all, just my existence—an unknown twin sister who also had Kurama's chakra sealed within her—was bound to create unpredictable ripples. There was no telling how the future would change, so I decided not to worry too much about preserving canon events. That didn't mean I wouldn't use my knowledge to my advantage, but I also resolved to take things as they came. The more I lived in this world, the more I realized it wasn't just fiction—it was real, tangible, and dangerous.

Right now, I was organizing my plans.

In about eight years, I would become a genin alongside Naruto. That would mark the start of major storyline events. Then, in about 12 to 13 years, all hell would break loose—Nagato, Obito, Madara, and countless others would plunge the world into chaos.

Luckily, I had my own plans and advantages. I had started training from infancy, adapting my methods as I grew.

For physical and combat training, I began this year by focusing on a cultivation-based martial art known as Nine Phantom Lotus—a style emphasizing rapid, fluid, and elusive movements. Given the nature of the ninja world, it seemed like a perfect fit. I was also curious to see how it would interact with existing Taijutsu techniques.

Another area of focus was knowledge. I frequently visited the library, renting as many books as possible on a wide range of subjects. Thankfully, I had retained my photographic memory and fast reading ability from my past life, which significantly helped in absorbing information. I studied history, past figures, and basic ninja techniques. I started with E-rank and D-rank Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Fuuinjutsu—anything accessible to the public. Higher-level techniques were out of reach until I became a genin, and frankly, I wasn't ready for them yet anyway.

Using my acquired knowledge, I began training in these disciplines. It was challenging, but I made progress. One major discovery came from the leaf chakra test—I had an affinity for all five elements, just like Kakashi and the Third Hokage. Though I planned to prioritize certain elements, this revelation was still valuable. I wasn't sure about the exact affinity rankings, but I planned to test it through training.

One of my most crucial areas of training was chakra control. Besides meditation, I incorporated chakra training methods from other anime, like Dragon Ball and Hunter x Hunter, along with my own expertise in internal energy martial arts.

For example, I managed to replicate—albeit at a rudimentary level—the Puppet Technique used by Sand Village shinobi. My leaf-balancing exercise had reached about an hour and a half, and I had started practicing wall-walking and sensory ninja training, spreading my chakra outward within a limited radius.

This led me to another surprising discovery.

I had an additional sense at work. Though I couldn't fully grasp or control it yet, it felt akin to spatial awareness. This hinted at a potential affinity for space-time ninjutsu. However, I had no resources to study it, as the village library contained no information on the subject. The thought of asking the Third Hokage crossed my mind, but I ultimately decided against it—for now. While I wasn't afraid of drawing his attention (given his debt to Minato and Kushina), I preferred to avoid standing out too much too soon.

With these thoughts swirling in my mind, I decided to end my training for the night. Curling up beside my little brother, I sighed. Overthinking wouldn't help—I needed rest.
