Chapter 1 - Blood, Bullets, and Bad Decisions

Chapter 1: The Crimson Pact

The night was thick with fog, and the neon lights of the city flickered like dying embers. Inside a rundown warehouse on the outskirts, four shadows moved in perfect synchronization, each one embodying a different piece of their deadly puzzle.

Crimson stood at the front, his crimson scarf fluttering slightly in the damp night air. His twin pistols, "Red Fang" and "Blood Moon," were holstered, his hands twitching with anticipation. Behind him, Kai adjusted his rifle, eyes scanning the room with calculated precision. Kazuki sat crouched by a terminal, his fingers flying over the keyboard. MJ was nowhere to be seen—until a whisper crackled in their earpieces.

"Sniper's in position," MJ muttered. "Let's wrap this up fast. I got noodles waiting at home."

"Your dog or the food?" Crimson asked with a smirk.

"Both," MJ replied.

Kazuki let out an exasperated sigh. "Can we focus? Hacking into their systems now. Give me a minute."

"One minute?" Kai scoffed. "You're getting slow."

"Shut up," Kazuki muttered, his fingers dancing over the keyboard.

Tonight's mission was simple: eliminate a high-profile arms dealer and retrieve classified data. The problem? The building was crawling with mercenaries.

Crimson turned to Kai. "You take right. I take left. Kazuki, do your thing. MJ, cover us."

"Got it," Kai said.

Crimson kicked open the door.

Backstories: How They Met

Before they were the most notorious hit squad, they were just a bunch of misfits who found each other in the chaos.

Crimson & Kai

Crimson and Kai had met as kids in an underground fighting ring, forced to survive through sheer willpower. Crimson, reckless and brash, fought like a demon, while Kai relied on strategy. After escaping together, they became inseparable, calling each other brothers despite having no blood ties.

Kazuki

Kazuki had once been a hacker for the government before realizing how corrupt they were. After exposing classified data, he became a wanted man. Crimson and Kai found him when he was on the run and offered him protection. In return, he became their tech genius.

MJ

MJ had been a sniper for a covert military squad before betraying his unit to save an innocent village. He barely escaped with his life, and Crimson was the one who found him, impressed by his skills.

Together, they formed a team bound by loyalty and their own twisted sense of justice.

The Mission

Gunfire erupted as Crimson and Kai stormed the hall. Kai took out three men in a flash, kunai flying through the air before he switched to his rifle. Crimson danced between enemies, his dual pistols barking with every movement.

Kazuki's voice rang in their earpieces. "Almost in. Buy me a few more seconds."

"How about you hurry the hell up?" MJ muttered, lining up another shot from the rooftop. A guard went down before he even knew what hit him.

Kazuki grumbled but pressed forward. Finally, the terminal beeped. "Got the files. We're done here."

"Great. Now let's leave before—"

The wall exploded.

Crimson barely had time to react before a towering figure stepped through the smoke, a mini-gun in his hands.

"You again," the brute growled.

Crimson grinned. "Oh, hey, Big Tony. Didn't I kill you last time?"

"You tried," Tony snarled.

"Yeah, well… let's fix that."

The next few minutes were chaos. Bullets flew, explosions rattled the building, and Crimson found himself dodging the mini-gun's relentless spray. Kai flanked Tony, and shot him in the head.

A single bullet pierced Tony's skull, and the brute fell with a heavy thud.

"Nice shot," Crimson said.

"Yeah, yeah. Can we leave now?"

"Good idea LETS GO MOVE IT CMON"

The four of them raced to the exit, jumping into their getaway car just as sirens blared in the distance.

Hanging Out with Ava

After the mission, Crimson found himself at Ava's penthouse, lounging on her ridiculously expensive couch.

"Another job well done?" Ava asked, sipping a glass of wine.

"Yep. Nearly got blown up, but you know, usual Tuesday night."

She rolled her eyes. "You idiots are going to get yourselves killed one day."

Crimson shrugged. "Probably. But at least we'll have fun doing it."

Whiskey, his black cat, curled up on his lap, purring. Storm Eye, his crow, sat on the window sill, eyeing Ava's jewelry.

Ava smirked. "Your bird is thinking about stealing from me again, isn't he?"

"Possibly."

She sighed. "You're impossible."

Crimson just grinned. "And yet, you still hang out with me."

"Somebody's gotta keep you alive," she muttered, pouring him a drink.

As the city lights sparkled outside, Crimson leaned back, letting himself enjoy the quiet moment. Missions were dangerous. Life was unpredictable. But with his team—and his ridiculous lifestyle—he wouldn't trade it for anything.

This was the life of a hitman. And he loved every second of it.
