Mr. and Mrs. Hooks of Number 7 Private Drive were the talk of the neighborhood. People often whispered about them in secret, speculating that they might be criminals or hiding some unknown secret.
Mr. Hooks was a taxi driver, a handsome blonde man with blue eyes. Despite being in his forties, he looked as if he were in his twenties. Mrs. Hooks was a beautiful, ginger-haired woman with brown eyes. She was a housewife who spent most of her time doing the dishes and tending to the garden fences.
The Hooks had two children and an adopted son. The eldest, Peter Hooks, was twelve years old and loved singing. He bore a strong resemblance to his father. The middle child, Emily Hooks, was eleven and loved reading, sharing many similarities with her mother. Their adopted son, Ronald Hooks, also eleven, had blonde hair like Mr. Hooks but green eyes. He was passionate about sports.
Ronald was the son of Mr. Hooks' older brother, who, along with his wife, had tragically passed away in a car crash—at least, that was what Mr. Hooks had told Ronald.
The Hooks were a happy family who treated everyone equally. However, false rumors and whispers had tarnished their reputation in the neighborhood. But the Hooks had a secret—one they desperately wanted to keep hidden.
They were a family of witches and wizards. If the neighborhood ever discovered the truth, the consequences could be disastrous. The oldest son Peter goes to a magic school called "Cambrode school of magic" returning home every year after school ends
One day, as Mr. Hooks was driving home to Number 7 after work, he noticed a creepy-looking man standing in front of the house next door. Immediately, he sensed something suspicious. Approaching the man, he asked, "Hello, is there a problem here?"
The man remained still, not responding.
"Hello, sir, I'm talking to you," Mr. Hooks repeated.
The eerie man finally looked at him with a strange expression and pointed at his ear, indicating that he was deaf. Just then, a truck arrived, loaded with furniture and other belongings. The truck driver stepped out and approached Mr. Hooks.
"Oh, he's your new next-door neighbor. His name is Jeff," the driver explained.
"What happened to Mr. Johnson?" Mr. Hooks asked.
"Oh, he died. Fell off a cliff while traveling," the driver replied.
Mr. Hooks was shocked. Everyone in the neighborhood knew that Mr. Johnson was not the kind of person to travel. Something didn't add up.
Suspicious, Mr. Hooks got back into his taxi and drove to Number 7, throwing a wary glance at the mysterious newcomer as he passed.
As Mr. Hooks reached home he immediatly went towards Mrs. Hooks and gave her a kiss "Hey Honey I have something to talk to you about" Mr. Hooks said, "What is it this time" Mrs. Hooks asked
"There is a new next door Neighbour" "What happened to Mr. Johnson, Did he move out?" Mrs. Hooks asked Mr. Hooks curiously "No he died while traveling" Mr. Hooks replied
"What he died travelling? But he is not a person made for traveling" "Exactly" Mr. Hooks replied
"So, you are telling that this man has something to do with the death of Mr. Johnson" "Yes" Mr. Hooks said "Oh Harris You are just glazing," said Mrs. Hooks laughingly "No I think he Possess a threat believe me Luna," said Mr. Hooks trying to convince Mrs. Hooks
But Mrs. Hooks denied to believe it

As Ronald secretly made his way towards the basement, he felt like somebody is watching him
"Ok I am here," said Ronald
The 5 minutes timer hit as Ronald with a very purple and terrified face made his way towards the door as it shuts automatically locking him inside
Ronald Now being scared to his life looks behind as he saw his scary next-door Neighbour giving him a creepy smile "M-Mr. Je-Jeff?" Emily and Peter now worried went downwards to call Mr. Hooks and Mrs. Hooks

"Felix running away from the Voidreach wouldn't help you get through, my nephew," Mr. Hooks replied confidently.
"Oh, of course, it wouldn't—for now. You have only shattered one-third of my soul. The other two will seek The Saviour of Scarlet," Felix said, laughing.
"CONQUER!" Mr. Hooks shouted.
In an instant, the eerie man, Felix, vanished into dust. Mr. Hooks turned around as Mrs. Hooks ran toward the basement, with both Peter and Emily following closely behind her.
"What happened?" Mrs. Hooks asked, her voice filled with concern.
"I was right," Mr. Hooks said.
"Was it really Mr. Jeff who killed Mr. Johnson?" she asked.
"Not only did he do that, but he is not Jeff," Mr. Hooks replied.
"What do you mean he's not Jeff?" Mrs. Hooks asked, shocked.
"He is Felix Fangthorne."
"What?!" Mrs. Hooks exclaimed in surprise. She hurried to check on Ronald, gently touching his cheeks and neck.
"Emily, Peter," Mr. Hooks called out. "What were you doing sending your brother to the basement?"
"We were playing truth or dare, and he was doing it for ten silver coins," Emily admitted.
"Well then, now you've learned the consequences of such reckless actions. Before doing anything that seems creepy or dangerous, call me first. Understood?"
Both children nodded.
"Good. Now go back to bed. And as for you, Ronald—you're sleeping with us tonight," Mr. Hooks said firmly.
"What? No!" Ronald protested but ultimately accepted his fate.
