THE FIRST CLASS
Mason belonged to an average rich family, with their own car and house. He was barely interested in science and fiction, but his curiosity to explore mysteries led him to read a book named "Suzan: The Mystery Jungle". The book had piqued his interest, and he had read multiple parts of it. However, due to his transfer to a new school, he had to put the book aside for some time.
Now, as a 9th-standard student, Mason met his roommate, Owen. Owen was a laid-back guy who didn't focus much on his studies. Mason attempted to befriend Owen, but initially, Owen perceived him as a "bookworm" and rejected his friendship proposal. Nevertheless, through regular interactions, they eventually became friends, which also led to a slight decline in Mason's academic focus.
As the new academic year was about to commence, Mason and Owen prepared for their first day of class. On Monday, they reached their classroom late, and the only available seat was next to a boy named Lian. Lian was a humorous guy who offered them some space to sit, and they quickly became friends.
As Mason scanned the classroom, his eyes wandered across the students. Suddenly, his gaze froze. He spotted a girl with piercing green eyes and long, curly brown hair. She was sitting in the front row, intently listening to the teacher. Mason felt an inexplicable jolt, and his heart began to race. He couldn't help but stare at her.
Just then, the teacher introduced herself, and the class began. Mason tried to focus on the lesson, but his attention kept drifting back to the mysterious girl. He wondered who she was and what her story might be.
As the class progressed, Mason noticed that the girl seemed to be avoiding eye contact with everyone. She appeared to be an introvert, and Mason found himself intrigued by her enigmatic nature.
The class ended, and the students began to disperse. Mason, Owen, and Lian decided to grab some lunch together. As they walked out of the classroom, Mason caught a glimpse of the mysterious girl, who was now standing alone, looking lost in thought.
"Hey, who's that girl?" Mason asked Owen and Lian, nodding discreetly in her direction.
Owen followed Mason's gaze and shrugged. "No idea, but she looks pretty interesting."
Lian chuckled. "Yeah, and Mason seems to be already smitten!"
Mason's face turned red as he protested, "I'm not smitten! I just...I just want to know more about her."
Owen and Lian teased him good-naturedly as they walked to the cafeteria.
