It was nighttime.
In a deserted part of the city, a small boy stood alone. He was only five years old, yet his eyes held a strange restlessness.
The streets were swallowed by darkness, with only a few distant streetlights flickering weakly.
Then, he saw it.
A strange man was approaching him. His face was pale, his eyes empty—lifeless, as if devoid of a soul. Drool dripped from his mouth, and his body moved in a twisted, unnatural manner.
What is it? the boy wondered. He had never seen a human move like this before.
As the man drew closer, his movements became even more terrifying. His arms flailed erratically in the air, like a madman. The boy instinctively stepped back—but his feet felt glued to the ground.
He wanted to run.
But fear had paralyzed him.
And then…
A sudden gust of wind howled through the alley. A blinding flash of light followed.
Someone had appeared—standing right in front of the monstrous man.
A tall, slender young man with an almost ethereal beauty. His long, jet-black hair flowed in the wind. His eyes burned with an eerie glow, filled with an unshakable resolve.
There was no fear on his face. No hesitation.
"Filth like you has no place in this world," he murmured coldly.
And in just a single second, he swung his hand—
SWOOSH
A deafening explosion echoed through the air. The zombie-like man was reduced to nothing but ash. A sharp gust of wind swirled around, and before the boy's eyes, the man had completely vanished.
The boy couldn't comprehend what had just happened.
"W-What… was that?" he thought, his mind struggling to process the impossible sight before him. He had never seen anyone erase a person in a single strike!
The long-haired young man turned his gaze toward the child, his piercing eyes locking onto him.
"Your life is about to change forever..." he whispered.
"Your fate has already been written... and I will turn you into this world's most powerful eraser."
The boy stared at him, frozen between fear and awe.
He had no idea what was happening…
