The Decision to Stay
The father asked his children to spend the night with him in the new house. The older sister and the younger brother eagerly agreed, but our friend couldn't leave her mother alone. She chose to stay by her side, even though she felt sad about parting with her siblings and father. However, she hid her feelings so as not to upset her mother. The mother and daughter spent a lovely day together, and that was a comfort for both of them in their solitude.
The Sudden Call
The next morning, the mother received a call from the father:
"Get ready, you and the child. I'll come to pick you up, and I'll tell you everything when you arrive."
The mother felt an overwhelming joy and cried, feeling that God had answered her prayers and reunited the family. When our friend heard the news, she ran up to the attic where she liked to sit and began crying from sheer joy. It was a strange feeling that combined both happiness and confusion, to the point that she forgot for a moment that her mother was looking for her downstairs. She was swinging on the swing when she heard her mother calling her, and she quickly replied:
"I'm coming!"
The Mysterious Journey
Shortly after, the father arrived in his car, and the mother and daughter prepared to go down to him. During the ride, our friend felt that the atmosphere in the car was a bit tense, but she didn't ask. She simply remained silent, waiting to see what would happen next.
The Big Surprise
Upon their arrival, our friend was surprised by the new house; it was spacious and beautiful. Even more surprising was that her siblings were waiting for them with great joy. The older sister and younger brother rushed to their mother and hugged her lovingly. It seemed like everything was moving in the right direction until an unexpected surprise appeared…
Amid the warm welcome and reunion, our friend noticed someone sitting quietly in one of the corners... It was her grandmother, her father's mother. She had asked him to take her with him to live in the new house since he would be living alone. At this moment, the atmosphere began to shift, and the joy turned into tension… And so, everything started to go wrong.
