Synopsis
It all started when Jasper and Finn, two best friends compelled to court danger, decided the guy tripping over himself was the one wanted to drink a bear with. When Jasper and Finn put his arms around their shoulders, he couldn't stop blubbering about this key in purgatory that opens a door. Intrigued, they pushed him to tell them more. He gave them all the info he had, but, when pressed, couldn't tell them what the door opened. He only knew it was it was stolen from the great forgers somewhere near the beginning of time. The two looked at each other in agreement. They had to go and get this key.

Chapter 1 - A Surprising Reveal

Jasper and Finn, two kindred souls compelled to court danger, used their shoulders to push past the rude people clogging the entrance. Once inside the dimly lit tavern with air thick with cigarette smoke and an aura that radiated potent inebriation, their eyes automatically locked onto a man tripping over himself and somehow not falling.

They'd found the man to grab a drink with. When they wrapped his arms around their shoulders, he immediately started yapping about a key in purgatory.

When they heard bloodthirsty unicorns with eyes as red as blood, they were immediately intrigued and pressed for more details. After coaxing and making guiding statements and questions, a small semblance of a cohesive story began to form.

"So," Finn started, "this mysterious purgatory key - what does it open?"

The man with a beat red face, bloodshot eyes and voice thick with exasperation exclaimed, "Nobody knows!"

He readjusted himself before stating, "It's rumored to be stolen from The Great Forgers near when time began."

Jasper and Finn exchanged a knowing look with a slight, sly smile. A plan plan was formed right then and there.

When they turned their heads back to their chatty well of information, he was snoring like a chainsaw with his face pressed into the table. The two men, a few sandwiches short of a picnic, patted their temporary friend on the shoulder as a gesture of Farwell and downed two more shots of moonshine before blending into the night, on their way to see a wizard about a portal.
