Chapter 10 - Planning Ahead

Inside his cave, after successfully practising the secret technique- 'Introduction to hide your Presence', Shaan was delighted.

"Great, now I should be able to somewhat hide my realm unless the other person's cultivation is higher than the Foundation Stage!"

Shaan exclaimed with excitement.

In his mind, a plan had long been formulated.

He still had 2 middle-grade cultivation stones which he received earlier after registering himself as an Outer Sect Disciple.

"With this, I should be able to get what I want."

Shaan quickly took a bath and cleaned himself before going to the famous mortal market.

Unlike the sect's small designated place to sell stuff...A big mortal market existed at the downhill of the sect, just a few kilometres away, where one could buy various miscellaneous items.

Shaan knew time was tight so he wasted no time, his goal was clear from the start, he wanted more information about the zombie apocalyptic world.

Since instead of the usual spirit stones, he was using the zombie nucleus as a more pure and direct source of absorbing the enemy, he had to find a feasible way to maintain a steady supply of the zombie nuclei.

The only way he could see such a thing happening was by successfully infiltrating Sabrina's little team which was currently staying at the center of the apocalyptic city.

But how can Sabrina's team allow an unknown person to join so easily?

Since ancient times, trust has always been the hardest to earn.

It takes time, commitment, relentless efforts, and punctuality only then the other person can fully trust you.

Shaan had never interacted with Sabrina's team before so there was only one way to become a part of them -by equal exchange!

According to a businessman's logic, as long as it doesn't involve your family, everything is negotiable.

This negotiation is based on the fact the person can provide equal benefits.

Yes, benefits!

As long as proper compensation is provided, the other party will always have a change of their heart.

And the only thing which could matter the most to the post-apocalyptic zombie world was food!

With adequate food, Shaan was sure he could get an uninterrupted supply of zombie nuclei.

"Phew!"

"Finally reached the market!"

After converting the 2 middle-grade spirit stones to local mortal currency via a broker, Shaan went on his biggest shopping spree.

Instead of going to different shops, he directly went to the biggest wholesale shop and ordered everything in one go!

Large Sacks of Rice and Wheat,

Fresh Vegetables, Milk and curd.

Some hot summer fruits,

Instant-make tea and coffee packets,

Spices, containers carrying sherbet, wine and other sweet beverages.

Shaan thought of spending all his money to get a large variety of different supplies in small amounts.

"Sir, are you sure you want such a big order?"

"This supply will cost a lot!"

The shopkeeper spoke with caution, although the clothes of Shaan looked normal, his demeanour was elegant.

Even if the shopkeeper was a bit surprised by such a big order, he had indeed seen some crazy people during his career.

Such people are either big-shots like those rich second-generation or some with great ambition.

"You don't have to worry, I am Shaan Singh, a registered outer disciple of the great Eternal Palace Sect, here…. see this is my identity token."

Shaan cleverly showed off his identity token.

Hearing his words, the shopkeeper was instantly shocked, all the remaining doubts in his head were washed away.

Thinking he had caught some big fish, he immediately changed his behaviour.

Filled with awe, his words become even more respectful.

That's the attitude and treatment that comes when you have sufficient power and identity.

"Sir, you don't have to worry. We have everything you need here."

"Even if it's something we don't have, I assure you we will climb to the moon to bring that thing for you."

The shopkeeper no longer cared about why a cultivator was interested in buying so much mortal food, in his eyes there was only profit.

Hearing his words, Shaan's lips arched into a big smile.

'Sure enough, with money and status, you can even move rivers and mountains.'

Before Shaan could think more,

The next second, the shopkeeper's voice abruptly interrupted his thoughts.

"Respected Sir! The supplies you are offered are large in quantity and difficult to carry."

"As a first-time-big-customer of our shop, we can offer home delivery of all the stuff."

To establish a good relationship with Shaan, the clever shopkeeper went a step ahead by cutting his profit.

Only by sacrificing small gains can one become eligible for big gambles, the shopkeeper understood such a phrase by heart.

"Excellent!"

"I knew I was right in choosing this shop!"

Shaan's mood became elated but he didn't allow any expression to appear on his face, he could still see the little actions of the clever shopkeeper.

Although the shopkeeper appeared normal, his eyes contained a trace of ambition and greed which only an experienced person like Shaan can notice.
