Chapter 1 - Chapter One.

---

The story begins with a nine-year-old girl, a cheerful and energetic child who loves fun and laughter. Everyone who knew her adored her—or so she believed, as people had convinced her.

One day, she went to school as usual, but when she returned home, she couldn't find her mother. She asked the maid, "Where is my mother?" The maid replied, "Your mother was angry with you and your siblings and went to your grandmother's house."

The girl cried a lot because her grandmother lived far away. She pleaded, "I want to call my mom. Bring my mom back!" But the maid kept shouting at her. Heartbroken, the girl went up to the attic and cried alone.

When her brother came back from school, he also asked about their mother, and the maid shouted at him too. But our little friend intervened, took her brother aside to comfort him, and said, "Don't worry, Mom is coming back."

Their older sister soon joined them, and they all waited for their father. When he arrived, they asked, "Dad, where is Mom?" He simply said, "She went to your grandmother's house." The children were saddened. The girl begged, "Dad, I want to call Mom," and he agreed.

When the girl spoke to her mother, she burst into tears and asked, "Mom, where are you? Please come back!" Her mother reassured her, "I went to your grandmother's house a few days ago."

The girl, still crying, asked, "Are you angry with us, Mom?" Her mother was surprised. "Who told you that, my dear?"

"The maid said you were upset with us and left," the girl explained. "We're sorry, Mom. Please come back. We won't make you angry again."

Her mother comforted her, "No, my love. I was only away for a few days. I will be back soon."

Later, the children spent the day as usual, but the next day, when they returned from school, the maid told them the truth—something that changed everything. Their father had argued with their mother for no reason and told her, "Pack your things and go to your mother's house." So their mother had packed her belongings and left.

The maid added, "I was shocked when she said goodbye to me, not knowing why she was leaving. When I found out, I got angry. But I didn't mean to make you sad, children."

The children were devastated. Our little friend couldn't sleep at night without her mother. She cried every night and would go to her father's room to sleep beside him. But after a few days, she decided not to do that anymore. Instead, she held her phone, looking for a picture of her and her mother. When she finally found one, she cried until she fell asleep. That became her nightly routine.

At school, her best friend knew about what happened and told the whole class. The other students started teasing her, making her cry even more.

One girl, however, tried to comfort her, but our little friend didn't notice.

One day, the teacher was about to punish her for not doing her homework. Her friend suddenly spoke up, "Her mother isn't home because her father divorced her."

Enraged, our little friend shouted at her, and they got into a fight. The teacher then spoke to her kindly, reassuring her, "Don't worry, your mother will come back to you."

For days, this was her life—pain, sadness, and loneliness.

Then, one day, the husbands of her aunts came to talk to her father. When they arrived, the father told the children, "Go downstairs to your uncle's house until the guests leave."

But our little friend couldn't obey. Instead, she stood outside the door, secretly listening.

She heard them asking her father why he had done this. "There's no reason," he replied.

"Then do you want to remarry?" they asked.

"No," he answered.

"Then how will you live alone with your children?"

"I will take care of them," he replied.

No real reason was found for what happened. When she heard them preparing to leave, she hurried downstairs to avoid getting caught.

She and her siblings said goodbye to the guests with their father. Later, she told her siblings and their aunt what had happened.

Days passed, and then one day, their mother called. But she didn't ask for all of them—just her youngest son.

Our little friend was heartbroken. Why hadn't her mother asked for her too?

Their father took them to say goodbye to their brother and to see their mother for the first time since she had left. The children, their mother, and their mother's family all cried.

The girl didn't want to let go of her mother. But her mother told her, "You have to go back with your father now, my love."

She and her sister went back home. But things only got worse.

Lately, they had noticed their father leaving the house more often. When they asked why, he told them, "I'm moving to another apartment because your mother is coming back soon."

The children were overjoyed. But our little friend wasn't. She was sad—because it meant her father would be leaving. She loved him deeply but didn't protest.

Then, the day finally came. Their mother returned, and their father moved out. The children were happy to have their mother back.

But the next morning ---
