Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: [Cosmic Light 1.0]

Su Hao's parents agreed to his request to have a younger sibling, though when that would happen was still uncertain. Su Hao had his reasons for making this request.

He understood that his pursuits differed greatly from others, and in the future, he might not be the ideal son. Not knowing how to pretend to be a "real" son, he hoped that having another child would help fill the gap when he couldn't spend time with his parents.

The family had plenty of savings, so finances were not an issue; the only concern was whether his parents were willing to raise another child.

In reality, Su Hao was overthinking it. His parents had long wanted a second child, but since Su Hao had always been very clingy, they didn't bring it up, considering his feelings. Over time, the idea just faded away.

Having raised a genius like Su Hao gave his parents a newfound confidence in their genes. They felt that having more children would surely contribute to society and benefit humanity.

….

Once Su Hao had mastered enough foundational academic knowledge, he plunged headfirst into programming and compiling. He wanted to learn quickly and start programming a system for his Marble Space.

A year later, at the age of 12, Su Hao successfully encoded and categorized the chaotic information in the Marbel Space.

Categories such as [Mathematics], [Physics], [Chemistry], [Biology], [Information Technology (IT)], [Industrial Manufacturing], [Agriculture], [Astronomy], [Art], and [Weaponry], were established. He called this simple functionality [Cosmic Light 1.0] or simply [Little Light].

Around this time, Su Hao also got a chubby two-month-old baby brother named Luo Chaoxin.

Another year passed, and at 13, Su Hao successfully implemented a [Search function] within the Marbel Space, allowing him to quickly locate needed information. The system was upgraded to [Cosmic Light 1.1].

His adapted version of 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' was published, and it became wildly popular, cementing Su Hao's reputation as a top prodigy.

At 14, [Cosmic Light] could now automatically record, encode, categorize, and store information at any time, with the ability to facilitate interaction between different categories. Su Hao also successfully compiled a [Timetable] within the Marbel Space, upgrading it to [Cosmic Light 1.2].

Meanwhile, his little brother, Luo Chaoxin, had grown into a mischievous brat who appeared to be quite simple-minded, although their parents insisted it was "cleverness." This goofy cleverness gained nationwide recognition, becoming a quirky charm in the eyes of the public.

Su Hao couldn't help but feel sorry for this poor kid. Growing up in the shadow of a brilliant brother like Su Hao made his life a nightmare-level challenge. Forever unable to catch up to his brother, Luo Chaoxin would be constantly compared and found lacking—a truly pitiable fate.

That same year, Su Hao's adapted version of 'Water Margin' was published. He was hailed as the most undisputed super-genius of the Nation.

Discussions about Su Hao never ceased.

Time flew by as Su Hao continued his relentless study and experimentation. Another year passed, and Su Hao turned 15.

The Marbel Space had grown more sophisticated, with all its information neatly organized and interconnected through [Cosmic Light 1.3.] Every moment, the system recorded new data through Su Hao's senses, automatically analyzing, comparing, categorizing, and storing it for his immediate use.

At 15, Su Hao had grown into a handsome young man—wealthy, smart, talented, and healthy—the dream of many older women.

Meanwhile, his younger brother, Luo Chaoxin, was now three years old and had become their parents' new favorite. Spoiled and arrogant, he turned into a little devil who believed he was the most important and unique member of the family.

However, he was wrong. In front of Su Hao, he still had to behave.

One day, while Su Hao was coding in his room, Luo Zhaoxin barged in, riding his little tricycle loaded with toy monsters. He pointed a toy gun at Su Hao, making "pew pew pew~" sounds as he pretended to shoot.

Su Hao calmly picked him up by one foot, dragged him out like a mop, and tossed him out the door. He then threw out the tricycle, toy monsters, and the toy gun.

Luo Chaoxin cried loudly, wailing to the heavens and the earth, but no one responded. Tearfully, he looked to his parents for help, but they pretended not to see anything and didn't say a word. It was at that moment that Luo Chaoxin finally realized who truly ruled this household.

Over the years, Su Hao's study of various disciplines deepened, allowing him to appreciate the brilliance of human civilization and the profound research humans had conducted on the world. He admired the great scientists who dedicated their lives to exploring and understanding the world.

The more he learned, the more vast and mysterious the world seemed, and the more insignificant he felt.

He also came to understand just how incredible it was that his consciousness resided within a tiny wormhole.

Recently, Su Hao's research focused on [Big Data]. The ultimate goal of Big Data is intelligence. While current Big Data had many limitations and hadn't yet reached true intelligence, its impact on everyday life was already beginning to show.

As time passed, the data accumulated in Marbel Space continued to grow. Using the systems Su Hao had developed, this data could be interconnected, and it was foreseeable that in the distant future, the [Cosmic Light] of the Marbel Space would inevitably evolve into a super artificial intelligence.

This was one of Su Hao's goals.

Su Hao's consciousness entered the Marbel Space.

The Marbel Space was no longer barren; it now resembled the control room of a futuristic spaceship, filled with a sense of high technology. All around were floating screens displaying various streams of data. Overhead was an electronic clock that had been ticking since its creation.

The clock displayed: 1 year, 3 months, 20 days, 15 hours, 21 minutes, and 25 seconds. This indicated that the clock had been running for over a year, and the numbers continued to tick away, marking the passage of each second.

The main screen wasn't sorted by academic categories but instead displayed a log-like interface. Su Hao could view recent information from these logs.

[Log from 1 year, 3 months, 19 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds:]

[Cosmic Light 1.3] update completed, optimizing search system, speed increased by 0.01%.[Sensor Technology] recorded, learning schedule arranged, current progress: 0.1%.PhD thesis [Applications and Future Trends of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Practice] formatted and ready for publication.Invitation from Professor Gao regarding [Quantum Communication Device Design] has expired and will be deleted in three days.[Room comparison: computer host displaced by 1 mm, trash can by 3 cm, water cup lid rotated counterclockwise by 3 degrees… Conclusion: Luo Zhaoxin entered the room, hit the host, bumped the trash can, and opened the water cup lid.]

….

By scrolling back, Su Hao could view the previous day's log:

[Log from 1 year, 3 months, 18 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds]

[Cosmic Light 1.3] update completed, optimizing auto-recognition system, refining database, increasing comparison accuracy by 1.2%.[Sensor Technology] recorded, learning schedule arranged, current progress: 0%.PhD thesis [Applications and Future Trends of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Practice] added to formatting queue, estimated time: 10 seconds.Invitation from Professor Gao on [Quantum Communication Device Design] nearing expiration; please address promptly.[Room comparison: unidentified liquid on the floor… Conclusion: Luo Zhaoxin blew his nose on the floor.]

.…

Daily events were recorded automatically by [Cosmic Light], organized into clear logs without Su Hao's intervention.

"Not bad!" Su Hao smiled.

Then he grabbed a broom, opened the door, and stepped out. "Looks like it's time to give Luo Chaoxin another lesson."
