After parting ways with Felix, Ashton headed deeper into the forest, determined to hunt more monsters on his own.
Felix had offered to team up, but Ashton refused. If he wanted to grow stronger, he needed to rely on himself. Hunting alone would also allow him to earn more points instead of sharing them.
Felix sighed but respected his decision. "Alright, but be careful. Only one hour is left before the test ends. Most students have already been eliminated, so don't take unnecessary risks."
Ashton nodded and disappeared into the trees, quickly engaging any monsters he found along the way.
The Test Ends
An hour later, all the remaining students gathered back at the academy grounds.
The Third-Year Student Council members officially concluded the test, and a massive virtual screen appeared in the middle of the ground, displaying the final rankings. Each student's personal bracelet also updated to show their position.
As everyone turned to look, murmurs spread through the crowd as they read the rankings.
Final Rankings:
1. Samael Flameheart – 2,400 points (New academy record!)
2. Elarion Moonshade (Elf Prince) – 1,570 points
3. Axel Graves – 1,450 points
4. Allen Graves – 1,440 points
5. Felix Ashford – 1,320 points
6. Emily Bane – 880 points
7. Kevin Duskbane – 850 points
8. Alice Ironforge – 750 points
9. Ashton Walker – 440 points
...........
The crowd was in awe of Samael Flameheart's score. 2,400 points.
It wasn't just the highest in this test—it was an academy record.
Even Elarion Moonshade, the elf prince, who held second place, was far behind.
Emily Bane, standing at sixth place, clenched her fists.
Her red eyes burned with fury as she stared at Ashton's name on the list.
"440 points?! How did that bastard even make it into the Top 10?"
Her humiliation from earlier still lingered, and now, seeing Ashton among the top ranks only added fuel to her anger.
"This isn't over, Ashton Walker," she thought, her nails digging into her palm. "I'll make sure you regret standing in my way."
