The divine plane trembled.
It was not a mere shift, not a subtle disturbance—it was a warning.
Somewhere beyond Olympus, beyond the Underworld, another pantheon had made its move.
Hades stood at the edge of his throne room, staring into the abyss. He had felt it before any of the others. The divine plane was vast, stretching beyond what even the Olympians understood. There were other gods, other realms, each with their own dominions and power.
And one had decided to strike first.
A presence burned against the edges of his domain, pressing against the borders of the Underworld like an oncoming storm.
They were testing him.
Hades' fingers tightened around the arm of his throne. The time for waiting was over.
With a thought, he stepped into the void.
And the war began.
Olympus – The Gods Respond
Zeus stood at the peak of Olympus, his storm-blue eyes scanning the heavens. He had felt it, too.
A shift in the balance. A foreign presence pushing against the divine plane.
Olympus was no longer alone.
Poseidon appeared beside him, his trident pulsing with power. "Do you feel it?"
Zeus nodded, his expression grim. The war had started.
Athena stepped forward, her gaze sharp. "It's because of Hades."
Zeus exhaled sharply. He already knew.
Hades' rise had not gone unnoticed.
And now, another pantheon had seen him as a threat.
Zeus clenched his fist, lightning crackling around his knuckles. If the gods of another realm had come for Hades, they would come for Olympus next.
And he would not be unprepared.
The Underworld – The Invasion Begins
Hades arrived at the border of his domain, where the presence burned against reality like an open wound.
Before him, the void shimmered—and then it shattered.
A rift tore open in space, and from it, figures emerged.
Gods. Foreign gods.
They were not Olympians. Their presence was different, their power alien. Their eyes burned with challenge.
One stepped forward, clad in golden armor, his aura crackling with divine fire. "You have risen beyond your place, Hades of the Underworld."
Hades tilted his head slightly. "Have I?"
The foreign god raised his weapon. "You disrupt the balance. You grow beyond what you were meant to be."
Hades exhaled slowly. So that was it.
They had not come for Olympus. They had not come for the gods.
They had come for him.
He took a step forward, and reality twisted.
The air itself shuddered, the Underworld reacting to his will. The very concept of death and eternity wrapped around him like a second skin.
"I do not answer to your balance," Hades said coldly.
The foreign god's grip tightened on his blade. "Then we will put you back in your place."
The skies above them darkened.
The earth trembled.
The first true divine war had begun.
And Hades was ready.
Foreshadowing: The Battle for the Divine Plane
Far beyond Olympus, far beyond the Underworld, other gods watched.
Some in fear.
Some in curiosity.
And some… waiting for their own chance to strike.
Hades was not the only one who sought to change the world.
