Chapter 1 - Awakening

Breath was breathed in and breath was breathed out.

Pain coursed through, a pain that started in the heart, then the lungs, then the limbs, and then finally the eyes.

A creature with many eyes awakened from its long slumber, a slumber similar to death. Its many eyes that littered its body slowly opened. Its eyes revealed a pure black eye that had white veins in its eyes all reaching to the center of its eyes, creating a white ring around it. Inside this white ring was a dark round bulge that squirmed around, before opening up in a slit like motion. The bulge revealed a second pair of eyes acting as irises. The second pair was pure white with red veins moving to the center of its iris. But this pair of eyes did not have any normal irises like the usual animal has, but instead had a red sigil shaped iris that was different in every eye.

The creature breathed out, its breath pushing the dust off the rocky ground beneath it. It slowly stood up, its giant mass revealing is black fur that had silver tips. Its mighty six legs, two hind legs and four fore legs, aided the creature to stand up tall. Its maw revealed rows of sharp glistening white teeth that had in inner parts having sharp razor pieces sticking out. Its ears are sticking out and moving around.

Once the creature stood tall, its figure resembled that of a wolf. Though heavily morphed and mutated.

The creature blinked its many eyes, as it looked around and sniffed the air. Though it did this by instinct, its eyes and body language spoke confusion in its action. It was confused why it sniffed the air, but most importantly, it was confused as to where it was.

"Where am I?" It thought, the creature moving its head as it scanned the surroundings with its frontal eyes. As it scanned, it suddenly looked stunned and disoriented as it shook its head suddenly. Its head assaulted by the many images that created its surroundings. It could see a small rock boulder behind it, the dip in the ground on its left, the shadow underneath its body, and the gray sky that revealed where it was. The ceiling above was the bottom of a pit and the creature was inside this said pit.

As the creature began to recover from its disorientation, it suddenly sniffed the air. Its nose sniffed the air several times as the creature unconsciously hummed a low tone. Its head moved to its side as it stared at a boulder that had seemed to be fused with the ground. Its many eyes stared at the boulder for several moments as it continued to sniff its air.

As it sniffed the air, it felt something in its body speak to it. What it said was "danger," "threat," "multiple," "be on guard."

The creature went on guard as it slowly raised its hair on its back up and let out a low growl. It slowly walked sideways as it kept its many eyes on the boulder. It did not question why it was doing this, though it should have. But instead listened to the voice and moved in a way it was telling it to walk.

Suddenly a high squeaky laughter was heard from behind my shoulder. Then suddenly a creature jumped out from behind the boulder, revealing a small monkey like creature. Its fur was an orange-red color and its ears were bigger than its body, having blue spots inside of it. It had three tails the same color as its fur, but had a black tip fur on each of its tails. Its big eyes were orange with the iris being yellow.

"Heheheh, look, look. Someone fell down" the monkey said, as it looked at the boulder and pointed at the creature. The monkey giggled as it jumped up and down as it pointed at the creature. It spoke as if it was speaking to someone, but to who? The creature didn't know, but it was most likely from something it trusts to protect it.

"Is that so" a low slow voice said out of nowhere. The tone of the voice made it sound bored, but at the same time curious. Moments later, the ground began to shake slowly. The creature took several steps back as it kept its many eyes on its surroundings.

It suddenly saw the boulder, that the monkey jumped out from behind, suddenly shook and slowly rose up. The boulder slowly rose up, or levitated, up from the ground revealing hundreds of small tiny and long crab like legs from underneath it. The boulder slowly turned around, as it moved cracks on the boulder's surface could be seen. Once the boulder fully turned around, the creature could see what the boulder was hiding. A giant caved in a crack that hid a giant yellow eye. Its iris is a yellow color taking the shape of a plus sign. Alongside this eye are hundreds more crab-like legs constantly tapping on the eye's surface.

The creature, seeing this, was at first startled. But then I noticed something. The boulder was shaped like an egg and the egg made it seem like it was just hatching. What it was hatching as, the creature did not want to find out.

"Hmm" the egg hummed as it stared at the creature, its many legs tapped on its eye. The eye stared at the creature for a bit, studying it, "how are you alive? I am sure I ate you till you're nothing but bones?"
