Chapter 13 - The Truth Behind the Chains of Time

The sky collapsed, the dimensional gates opened wide, and the **True Ancient Dragon**—the original form of Tianmo before it split—began to emerge. Its half-transparent body radiated an aura of destruction, and with every step it took, the earth cracked and the sky bled. Xiao Lin and Luo Yan, bound by the red-blue energy chains that held Jiuyinlong and Yinglong together, were unable to move.

"You are the final key," the Ancient Dragon's voice echoed, its moon-sized eyes coldly staring at them. "Your Forbidden Blood will complete my resurrection."

But before the Ancient Dragon could take another step, a **flame arrow** shot from a distance, striking the energy chains that bound Xiao Lin and Luo Yan. The chains shattered, and the two of them fell to the ground.

"There's still time!" shouted a familiar voice.

Xiao Lin turned his head, and there stood **Li Feng**—his best friend who he thought was dead. But Li Feng was not alone. Behind him, dozens of black-clad warriors with the symbol of a **chained dragon** on their chests lined up.

"You're... still alive?" Xiao Lin muttered, confused.

Li Feng smiled bitterly. "I am a descendant of **Su Liang**, just like Shen Li. But I chose a different path."

Luo Yan, who was still weak, stood up with difficulty. "What do you mean?"

"We are **Ancient Dragon Hunters**," Li Feng replied. "Our duty is to maintain the balance between humans and dragons. But Shen Li and the Ancient Dragon Worshippers betrayed us, choosing to resurrect the Primordial Dragon."

The Primordial Dragon laughed, his voice shaking the sky. "You're too late! The Forbidden Blood has already fused, and I—"

"Not finished," Li Feng interrupted. He raised his hand, and from the sky, **golden light** descended, forming a giant seal above the Primordial Dragon.

"You think an ordinary seal can stop me?" the Primordial Dragon growled.

"Not an ordinary seal," Li Feng retorted. "This is **Su Chen's remaining soul**."

From the light, Su Chen's shadow emerged, holding the **true Jiuyinlong**. "Xiao Lin, Luo Yan… you must choose," his voice echoed. "One of you must become the new vessel for the Primordial Dragon, while the other must sacrifice yourself to seal the seal forever."

Xiao Lin looked at Luo Yan. Although his memories of her were gone, something in his heart trembled. "I… I will do it," he whispered.

"No," Luo Yan interrupted. "I am already bound to Yinglong. I must be the vessel."

But before they could decide, **Shen Li** emerged from the mist, his face filled with rage. "You will not ruin my plan!" he shouted, lashing out with an ice sword.

Li Feng leapt forward, facing Shen Li. "I will stop you, sister!"

A fierce battle ensued. Meanwhile, the Primordial Dragon began to break free from the seal.

Xiao Lin and Luo Yan stood face to face, Jiuyinlong and Yinglong in their hands. "We must work together," Xiao Lin whispered.

Luo Yan nodded. "But after this… we may never see each other again."

In the distance, the Primordial Dragon screamed, its body beginning to merge with the world. Su Chen's voice echoed: *"Time is almost up!"*

Suddenly, **a flash of memory** appeared in Xiao Lin's mind—Luo Yan's face, her smile, her tears. "I… I remember," he whispered.

Luo Yan smiled sadly. "Then this is it."

They raised their swords, red and blue energy merging. But before they could strike, Shen Li lunged, stabbing the ice sword into Xiao Lin's chest.

"No!" Luo Yan shouted.

The Primordial Dragon laughed. "You lose!"

But Xiao Lin smiled, his purple blood flowing into the Jiuyinlong. "No… this is just the beginning."
