His victory over the elite assassin gives him a new position of power. But now he faced a new problem: the nobles of the kingdom, who began to approach him, trying to ally with him or overthrow him.
In a meeting with the noble leaders, Leon finds himself surrounded by a series of intrigues and manipulations.
- "Lord Arden, we have a plan to expand your territory. Join us and the Empire will be within your grasp."
Leon tries to leave the scene, but the conflict between the nobles only increases. He ends up being pressured to make more serious strategic decisions, all based on assumptions of his "great intelligence".
He takes a glass of wine and begins to carefully examine the situation.
- "Hmm... Let's form an alliance. But only if everyone agrees to... play a game."
He gestures to the nobles. Everyone is confused.
- "What do you mean?"
- "The game of chairs! You must all compete for the highest position. The winner... wins my trust."
In what seemed to be a simple meeting of power, Leon turns everything into a bizarre "strategy" tournament for the nobles. Everyone starts to get involved in a series of games, where they try to manipulate the environment in order to become more powerful.
Leon, as usual, doesn't really understand what he's betting on. He just suggests absurd competitions, such as logic competitions, puzzles and even horse races.
And, of course, everything seems fine. The nobles begin to turn on themselves while Leon unwittingly manipulates the situation, keeping himself safe and seated in his chair.
In the end, one of the more powerful nobles turns out to be the "winner", but in reality Leon was only pretending that the game was real. The real victory was to ensure that no one challenged his authority.
