Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Game night at the Cameron beach house was always an event.

Lily sat between JJ and Rafe, her strategic positioning designed to prevent total war between their competitive spirits. Pope, Kiara, John B, Sarah, Cleo, and Wheezie completed their chaotic family circle.

"Monopoly?" Sarah suggested a dangerous glint in her eye.

"No," Pope muttered. "Last time, we almost called a divorce lawyer, and only one couple is married and wasn't even them."

JJ and Rafe exchanged a look. Their competitive nature was legendary.

"Strip Monopoly?" JJ suggested, wiggling his eyebrows.

"No!" Everyone shouted simultaneously.

Wheezie rolled her eyes. "You guys are SO embarrassing."

Lily organized the game pieces with Rafe-like precision. JJ added random "fun" rules that made absolutely no sense.

"I'm banking," Rafe announced, his spreadsheet brain already calculating probabilities.

"I'm chaos," JJ countered.

John B leaned over to Kiara. "They're not together, right?"

Kiara just laughed. "They seem to think so."

The game began. Alliances formed. Betrayals happened. Lily was somehow winning despite being seven.

"How is she beating us?" Rafe muttered.

JJ grinned. "She's OUR daughter."

Another perfectly chaotic night in their perfectly imperfect family.

The Monopoly board became a battlefield.

"Property trading is DIPLOMACY," Rafe declared, sliding Park Place across the table like a chess master.

JJ's strategy was pure chaos. "I'll trade you this railroad for... a high five and telling the most ridiculous story!"

Pope watched in disbelief. "This is not how Monopoly works."

Lily, somehow managing both her properties and "advising" her dads, was a miniature strategic genius. She'd lean between JJ and Rafe, whispering complex negotiation tactics.

"Daddy, use your spreadsheet brain," she'd murmur. "Papa, use your chaos as a distraction."

Sarah was crying from laughing so hard. Kiara and John B were taking bets on who would flip the board first.

"I'm not competitive," Rafe insisted, absolutely competitive.

"Says the man who color-codes his BREAKFAST," JJ shot back.

Wheezie watched the entire scene. "These are my EMBARRASSING adults," she muttered to her friends on the phone.

The game continued. Alliances shifted. Friendships were tested.

Monopoly: Cameron-Maybank edition was nothing like any game night in history.
