"Miss Park, I presume," Mia said with a cold, yet perfectly practiced smile. Her eyes, however, were filled with contempt as they scanned Mina from head to toe. "So, you're the one pretending to be me, Leo's fiancée?"
"What do you want, Miss Sato?"
"I want you to leave Leo's life. Permanently."
Mina let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head. "You think you can just waltz back into his life after abandoning him? Love doesn't work that way, Mia. You're only here now because it's convenient for you."
Mia's eyes flashed with fury, and she took a step closer, her voice a hiss. "Don't presume to lecture me about love, especially when you're nothing more than a hired stand-in. You're beneath him, beneath me." Mia's words were like knives, cutting through Mina's already fragile confidence. "Do you really think Leo would ever choose someone like you over me? You're just a placeholder, a toy to distract him while he waits for the real thing. Me."
Mina's fists clenched at her sides, but she couldn't deny the painful truth in Mia's words. She was just playing a part in Leo's charade, a temporary solution to keep the business wolves at bay. What claim did she really have on Leo's heart?
"You're nothing but a cheap substitute, Mina. You think wearing a pretty dress and playing house will make you Leo's equal? You'll never be one of us. Leo and I... we're from a different world—one where people like you don't belong.
