Sonia was feeding Sun Wuming, while Marnie was feeding the two dogs.
"You could just use a spatula to feed me, it'd be faster."
Sun Wuming commented while chewing the curry that Sonia had fed him with a spoon.
Using this kind of soup spoon to eat, he felt like he wouldn't be full even by tomorrow morning.
"Shut up, you shouldn't be eating so much while you're sick."
Sonia rolled her eyes at him.
A spatula? How ridiculous.
Was this feeding someone or dumping slop?
This was her first time feeding someone.
Sonia thought to herself, feeling a bit shy.
"I'll go wash the dishes."
After finishing feeding the dogs, Marnie picked up a stack of dishes and headed to the kitchen.
"This child is surprisingly thoughtful,"
Sonia remarked with surprise.
Though she didn't talk much and usually had a blank expression, and even dressed like a delinquent.
But inside she was actually a good girl.
Without a doubt, Marnie was full of charming contradictions, both inside and out.
"Sonia..."
Sun Wuming spoke up again.
"What is it?"
Sonia turned to look at him.
"I need to use the bathroom."
Sun Wuming's next words gave Sonia a shock.
The... bathroom?
Sonia looked down at a certain slightly raised area on Sun Wuming, instantly going into Hinata mode, her face burning red with steam seemingly rising from her head.
Sonia felt like she might faint from embarrassment.
Those three words kept echoing in her mind—
The... bathroom?
Does that mean she would have to help him...
Or rather, help him aim?
She was still an innocent maiden!
If it were anyone else, Sonia would have slapped them already.
But facing Sun Wuming, who was injured saving her, she couldn't bring herself to do it.

The task of feeding him was handed over to Marnie.
The thoughtful girl had said she would take care of Sun Wuming until he recovered, to repay him for saving her life.
A delinquent-looking girl with a good girl's personality.

During their mealtime chats, Sun Wuming learned more about Marnie.
She had actually run away from home after arguing with her brother.
Marnie's brother was Piers, the Spikemuth Gym Leader ranked third in overall strength in Galar.
His power level was just below Leon and Raihan's Champion-tier strength.
But because Spikemuth was located in a remote part of Galar and lacked Power Spot energy for Dynamaxing,
Combined with Piers' own laid-back, whatever-goes personality,
Spikemuth's economy, development, and influence severely lagged behind other Galarian cities.
Because of this, Marnie had a huge fight with her brother Piers and ran away from home.
She vowed to enter the Galar Star Tournament and become Champion to change her hometown's declining situation.
"...Marnie, how long have you been traveling?"
Sun Wuming asked thoughtfully.
"Two months."
Marnie replied expressionlessly.
"Hmm..."
Sun Wuming's expression grew complicated, then he called out to Sonia in the living room:
"Sonia! How long until that Star Tournament begins?"
Sonia, who was writing her thesis in the study, had her train of thought interrupted and wanted to rush into the bedroom to give Sun Wuming a good smack.
But she held back her anger and replied:
"Five months!"
"That's not enough time, babe."
Sun Wuming wasn't trying to discourage her, just being honest.
A rookie trainer who'd only been traveling for two months, wanting to challenge Champion-level Leon with less than half a year left?

After a few seconds, she looked up with determination and said, "I want to try!"
Seeing her expression, Sun Wuming couldn't help but smile, reaching out to pat her head encouragingly.
"Your arm can move now?"
Marnie's eyes widened slightly.
"Yeah, it's mostly healed,"
Sun Wuming said, waving his hand.
"Then why did you still have me feeding you these past few days?"
Marnie's cheeks puffed up like a Croagunk, her whole face saying "you tricked me."
Sun Wuming gave a mischievous grin.
Well, when you can have a pretty girl feed you, why do it yourself?
