Chapter 10 - Shades and blood

A

In that confusing moment, as the moonlight fell across the cloudy sky, Arian stood in complete stillness. The darkness enveloped the place as if the whole world had sunk into a dark well, and only the sounds of the violent winds cut through the silence and added to the atmosphere of chaos that enveloped the land around him. The ground was wet, slippery, and its tall trees were bending in the wind, breaking the light scattered here and there.

In the heart of this dark scene, Arian stood like a statue, his eyes staring at a strange figure who had suddenly appeared from the shadows. That figure, despite the darkness that enveloped the place, carried in its eyes something inexplicable. Something that could not be human. His face, which was a gloomy gray color, reflected the light unnaturally. His black hair, which fell on his shoulders, looked like threads of night, as if the hair itself was part of the darkness.

"Who are you?" Arian said in a calm voice, but tense inside. He felt something strange with every step this being took forward. There was something different about him, something inhuman.

"I am an ancient entity..." The voice replied, and the voice was devoid of emotion, as if it carried within it the entire history of the world. "I came here to be a witness to what will happen."

Arian felt that this being was not only talking about himself, but about something greater. About an invisible force that controlled the fate of the world. At that moment, he was in a situation that he did not fully understand how he had arrived at, but he knew that this encounter was not fleeting.

As the wind blew around him, time froze for a moment. He was facing the being who stood before him, and his mysterious eyes held some understanding that he did not yet have the keys to. The silence between them was heavier than any conversation. The air was saturated with something uncomfortable, something that made his heart flutter in his chest without him knowing why.

Then suddenly, this being said something Arian did not expect:

"It will not be long before they discover your power, your power that you do not yet know."

Those words were like a stab in Arian's heart. How could this being know about a power that he himself was unaware of? It was as if it was touching a depth of soul that Arian saw with his heart's eye but could not fully comprehend.

Arian stood before this being, hesitating to take a step, his feelings ranging from anxiety to a desire to know more. His eyes, which had begun to adjust to the darkness, left no room for doubt. He knew that this meeting was destined for him, but he did not know why now, and why him.

"How am I supposed to deal with this power?" Arian finally asked, his voice betraying a genuine desire to understand.

The being smiled sadly, then took another step towards him. "The ability to control does not come easily, Arian. Anyone who possesses power must pay a price for it." He added, extending his hand towards Arian in a slow movement, "But if you decide to continue the journey, you must be prepared to pay that price."

At that moment, the air around Arian was burning, a strange feeling swept through his body. It was as if an invisible force was beginning to penetrate him, almost devouring his soul little by little. But he felt something else too; something inside him was beginning to awaken. A force that had been dormant, but was gradually beginning to move, to interact with that being, trying to emerge.

Suddenly, a dark force exploded in the air, and a wave of immense energy erupted that made Arian stagger backwards. It was as if this energy was an expression of the inner struggle he was experiencing. He knew that the thing that was beginning to stir inside him was going to require him to give it all.

"Don't let your fear drive you…" The being said in a sharper tone now, smiling slightly. "You are at the beginning of the road, and you are about to discover secrets that will change everything."

The atmosphere was fully charged. Arian, who could feel his heartbeats racing as the tension mounted, realized that the road ahead of him was not going to be easy. But he also knew that he was about to enter a new phase of his life, one in which he would not be just a boy wandering among the shadows, but someone who would fight to discover and make his own destiny. That moment, among the shadows and the blood, was a new beginning for Ariane, a beginning on the threshold of a new phase of challenges, of knowledge, of struggle.
