Marmara Clan was a self-sufficient Clan better than many kingdoms.
They nurture healers, builders, crafters, and almost all facets that a community needs; they have a branch for that.
Becoming Body Stage already place you in one of those categories. Luno wanted to know if what Lawa could do could benefit them.
"I'm new, so I can't perform amazing things. But…" Lawa looked around, trying to think of what the settlement needed that he could do.
He can't think of one. He has no experience in this.
Old Man Luno wasn't new to this, and Lawa might not know, but he shouldn't be the one to choose what to do.
All he had to do was tell him his profession and Luno would tell him what they wanted.
"What are you good at?" Old Man Luno asked.
Lawa deliberated before he said, "Sand Shaping and Yellow Stone Shaping."
"Perfect." The old man clapped his hand, "Can you raise the sand and make natural protection around us? One that will hold back the beasts and even strong wind."
Lawa's eyes lit up. That he can do. "Yes."
"Good. Depending on the integrity of the protection I can even use my status to take away half the cost of the Throw Destination."
The old man knew throwing an incentive would allow a man to work harder.
Lawa smiled, this was a time for him to test his mantle. "I have a better idea."
The man raised his curious eyes.
"I will make a yellow stone wall around the settlement, followed by the sand protection. You can design and even create traps of your choosing. I believe that will be enough for you to use what you said."
The old man stared at Lawa. "But we don't have yellow stones. It's all sand."
"I will make them!" Lawa said with a smile.
The man quickly stood and bowed, "I didn't know I was before Limit Master."
Old Man Luno was genuinely praising Lawa.
"Please. I'm just a child." Lawa pushed out humbleness, but inside, he was feeling good because he was called Limit Master.
That was one of the lustrous titles in the Marmara Clan.
One does not get the title just because they are at Body Stage, but they get it if they reach a certain threshold of mastery of their ability.
Lawa didn't reach that, but because of the Miracle Stone, he can achieve what they can to a degree.
Old Man Luno became busy. He moved around with his people making many arrangements while Lawa rested in a tent with dried fruit presented to him.
'This feels good!'
He liked that things were going smoothly. Especially since his training is going to pay off this quickly.
He observed the people and their murmurs about him being from the Marmara Clan. Many kids were excited to see this noble blood of Jaha.
Another thing he noticed, a well-clean girl his age was the one sitting by the tent entrance. She mostly shooed people away when they came too close.
'She is too weak to protect me. They should have put someone powerful that will glare the people away with his eyes.'
Having those thoughts he shook his head before a realization came to him. Her clothes were clean but they were somewhat revealing.
"Limit Master Lawa, do you need anything?" She asked for the 15th time ever since she took her post.
'Oh!' Lawa almost facepalm. 'That is the plan. Haha.'
The girl was nervous but also seriously doing her job. If she succeeded, maybe she will be set for life.
'Sorry,' Lawa apologized in his heart. He perfectly understood what she was put on to do but he won't be entertaining her.
At noon, he was called to observe the plan.
Lawa threw 3 Orim at her, "Thank you for keeping eyes away from me!"
She blushed and bowed, "Thank you."
The moment Lawa was out of her sight, a woman collected the Orims and sent her to change the expensive clothes to normal ones.
'Hey, isn't this complicated?' Lawa frowned.
He was given the design on a patch skin of a trench around the tent as the chosen stone wall location.
He calmed down and went through it. It was doable.
But after he went and stood before the place he realised it might take him days to finish this.
He almost complained but he reminded himself he needed the practice.
He then went around and understood the length which was about 1.2 kilometres.
'Damn it. That was a lot!' His heart sank. But he didn't show it. There were so many eyes on him.
'How should I begin this?'
Anxiety began to appear on his face. He had just boosted he could create a stone wall, and now he was regretting it.
He calmed down and tried to recall his school teaching. There were some lessons about construction.
'Start small and build on it… that's too slow… the damn settlement looks small, but this wall looks longer.'
He complained for some time while he pretended to look around.
Old Man Luno was experienced and could see he had somewhat trapped the boy in this thing. The work was overwhelming him.
So, he walked toward him and said, "Limit Master Lawa, will the work delay your travels? If so, maybe you can just make a key location and leave the rest to us!"
Lawa felt that was a good plan. Even though he wasn't in a hurry, at least he won't be stuck in here.
But he shook his head and said, "This is a very large construction and I want to do it." He said to the old man.
"Don't mind my delay!" He added.
Lawa's lazy mindset was notorious, and his sister had made him go through many sessions of extra learning on how to battle that away from him.
In his scribe tablet. There was a careful detailed plan on how to not fall into that mindset. Among them were phrases of motivation.
Don't be lazy.
Don't be lazy.
No procrastination
No procrastination
Master your skill
Master Dune
Master Stone Shaping
…
These were some of the things he wrote himself and pushed himself to go through.
He knew this relative peace would shatter, so he must use it well and master his abilities.
'I will do it!'
Lawa began slowly. He ignored the eyes as he sat down, he needed to make what he knew first before he built on that.
He was making a yellow stone cave and trying to build on that.
Without that, he has no concrete idea on how to make a giant wall that will be sturdy enough for the settlement.
